Maybe parshuram curse karna with forgetting the Bhargava astra created by himself and not Brahmastra. Just my thought.

karna didn't used brahmastra..he was using brahmanda astra both were different ..this was given to him by parshurama but later he cursed him ..

This is the curse of Parshurama:

Unto the cheerless and trembling Karna, prostrated with joined hands upon earth, that foremost one of Bhrigu's race, smiling though filled with wrath, answered, 'Since thou hast, from avarice of weapons, behaved here with falsehood, therefore, O wretch, this Brahma weapon shalt not dwell in thy remembrance since thou art not a Brahmana, truly this Brahma weapon shall not, up to the time of thy death, dwell in thee when thou shalt be engaged with a warrior equal to thyself! Go hence, this is no place for a person of such false behaviour as thou! On earth, no Kshatriya will be thy equal in battle.' Thus addressed by Rama, Karna came away, having duty taken his leave.

now wht is this Brahma weapon here Brahamastra??😕

@Blue: Why does Parshurama give a sudden boon to Karna in his anger??

Is this the correct translation?
, 'I desire to be acquainted with the Brahma weapon, with all its mantras and the power of withdrawing it, for I desire to fight Arjuna.

vidyaadhikam athaalakshya dhanurvede dhanamjayam| dronam rahasy upaagamya karno vacanam abraveet||
brahmaastram vettum icchaami sa rahasyanivartanam| arjunena samo yuddhe bhaveyam iti me mati:|

if its correct then Karna got cursed for Brahamastra nly!!

I checked CE Sanskrit. It is Brahmastra only. I think Karna used Bhargavastra against Arjuna before he shot Brahmastra.
@sanzi -yeah. Quicksand. It was very much possible as the battlefield was in the floodlain of two big rivers, & the two joined each other not too far away from there. Besides, Krishna told Arjuna how & when to kill Karna, after Ghato got killed in midnight. So the chariot wheel sinking was clearly planned & executed.

Karna was unkown about Arjuna/Drona when he went to Parashurama. But regarding the curse, it was only for Brahmastra.

My one question ws when Parshurama ws angry on Karna why did he say there will b no kshatriya equal to u?? isn't that a boon??😛 or did he give itt to nullify his curse😉

That is because some fool edited that part, not because Rama gave any curse that never worked at all.😆 Duryodhana cearly tells 'had raama seen any shortcomes in Karna, would he have given his knowledge to Karna, that too delightfully?'(not exact KMG words, just the nearest ones)...
If we have to consider the curse part as it is, curse also means two things - Arjuna was not a Kshatriya. Had he been one actually, he was never equal to Karna. How can these be true? So the curse itself is an interpolation.
