Kankeya's village.not Kankeya village. Will check Harivamsa in a bit for Ugrasena's lineage

Also the dance performance calls Arjuna Kandapati as in Gandapati or wielder of Gandeev. Seems they substitute Ka sound for Ga. Could have been Gangeya's village toošŸ˜†. So could have been Bheeshma's original village or may just mean from a village on the banks of Ganga

That could also be true. But, I dont think, in Tamil, Ganga is read as Kanka & so Gangeya will be Kankeya because Ganga is read as Gangai if I am right. Tamilians, please help.

Why can't we take the story as it is while discussing and not insist to believe in our own theories which is actually not written? I mean the version of Mahabharata we have, the Sanskrit one itself mentions vastraharan of Draupadi. She is said to have married five men and have children. Why do we insist on making things complicated and say this was changed and that was changed? We cannot be sure about it but we can be sure about what is written crystal clear in the text.

Agreed...sometimes I feel the same.
I too prefer citations to such theories...
However discussing these theories opens new doors...n we learn a lot.
Well, as far as I know, the versions I know about mentions Vastraharan clearly...
However, Draupadi being married to only Yudisthir n being childless is there in some versions...so we can believe wat we want...

By the way, u should be happy about this theory... šŸ˜‰
There was no Ardi at all.

I don't think Arjun was a madman to take a vow of Karna vadh unless Karna did anything wrong šŸ˜• Remember that Arjun was the one who cried before Kurukshetra war.
Also, if I'm not wrong, Udyoga Parva has mention of Karna's deeds in dice hall. Let me check once.

I think Bheem MADE him take that vowšŸ˜†. Arjun was a pacifist. I like that about him. Keep peace when possible, fight when it is inevitable

Its not our own theory. There are various versions around. Even the original is thought to have grown from 8K verses to 100 K verses. How do we know which is true?

In the Gingee performances it says, Panchali was garlanded by Kandapati (Arjun) but protected all 5. Its not really made clear if she was married to all 5. Indo version says she was married to Yudhi

I don't see that it is crystal clear at all. As Arijit says, its completely confusing and they all contradict each other

Amrita I am a StarArDi hater and ShaJa hater. I am not fond of epic ArDi but don't hate them šŸ˜‰ but fact is the first time I got the idea of ArDi shipping is here after StarB! Before that never thought of ardi together.. That's the normal mindset actually.

I too agree we learn a lot from such theories and it's nice to read. Just that I prefer the normal sanskrit version and it's events as the root when I give my opinion or debate about things. That does not mean we stop discussing other versions

Until something like Abhi Vadh takes place.. But is not vastraharan enough to provoke him? Actually I don't know whether to say yes or no about this Ashe is the ne who stops Bheem when he becomes angry during staking. But on the other hand he vows so.. Confusing

Nevertheless I believe Karna did have part to play in the dice hall. In the negative way.
