Even the lead pair in the show 2 slots prior have a decent chemistry - even though both are not great actors and offscreen they are rumored to be not in talking terms ...

I'm not sure which pair you're talking about, but see you get it...it's not about acting prowess or lack there of...when it comes to chemistry it's an intangible thing...you either have it or you don't...and when you have it then the audience feels it no matter the acting skills, no matter if they like the actors or not.

That's what I was trying to say with my posts above...Ranjan don't have chemistry, it isn't debatable...it isn't a matter of opinion. They do not share chemistry. Period.

@sunny 303

You are right. Chemistry is something either you have or you don't. On Indian TV, the couple with the best chemistry I ever saw was Barun and Sanaya as Arnav and Khushi. They were just superb together. I had never followed any Indian TV show, until I saw a scene from IPKKND and was hooked on the amazingly beautiful couple that just crackled on screen together. Since then I went on YouTube and watched all the back episodes and I was hooked. I joined India forums just for IPKKND. I didn't even know there was such a thing as India forums until then. (I am not from India, and I am not Indian either).

SRK - Kajol- always amazing together. I also agree on Akshay - Katrina. They have a certain X factor together. Another couple that had great chemistry, SRK - Aishwariya. (Devdas is the best example, and also Mohobatein, and even Josh, where they play brother and sister, twins actually. Maxi and Shirley). They were just amazing in that movie.

Chemistry is an odd thing. No matter how good looking you might be, there is a certain connect that has to happen between two people on screen. Or else it looks fake. Being good actors help too. But two OK actors with little chemistry always look appalling. This is the case with RANJAN in my opinion.

I agree with most comments here. The character of Ranvi has no shades, no progression and acting skills are to be blamed too. But I also feel that Veera's character is also showing no progression, she is is in this mahanata mode which for some reason I am not liking. Veera pre leap, was ziddi but very sensitive and sensible also. The characters who have been consistent or have shown progression are Baldev, Bansuri, Baldev's father, Gunjan (basically everyone from this family 😆), the other family hasn't shown any.
