Finale Part
Spotting the cottage after a long search, Veera and Baldev ran to that direction. By the time they walked inside, they were drenched way too much due to the unexpected, heavy rainfall. "Aye baarish abhi honi thi," said Baldev in irritation. He turned towards Veera and was amazed to see her beauty. He could not stop gazing at her wet hairs and her face covered with the droplets of the rain that made her look breathtaking. Sighing deeply, he dreamily smiled. The night was definitely special for them, he thought.
Veera, on other side, sneezed uncountable times since she was already suffering from fever from the last few days and the rainfall simply instigated her sickness to torture her more. She walked to a corner slowly and sat down. Literally freezing, she hugged her knees and shivered. Seeing this, lines of worries and concerns flashed on Baldev's forehead and in no time, he rushed to her and knelt down in front of her. Taking off his leather jacket, he wrapped her up with it and rubbed her palms. "Veera, theek hai tu?" his question was in a low, tensed filled voice as he saw her trembling badly.
Veera blinked once, saying that she was okay and shook her head later, gesturing him not to panic. But unfortunately her health was deteriorating as the time was passing. Baldev was horrified just when he saw her almost fainting. "Veera, uth! Veera!" He pulled her in his arms and rubbed her back vigorously.
Sadly she fainted. Hearing no response from her, Baldev moved her away from him to glance at her face and to his utter shock, she seemed lifeless. "Veera!" he called out to her worriedly and patted on her cheeks, but all his attempts to wake her up failed. "Ki karu main? Isko uthaana jaroori hai warna iski tabiyat aur kharab ho jaaegi." he said to himself and placing her carefully on the floor, he stood up and walked around in search of some woods and a bed sheet. Finding nothing over there, he ran outside in the forest. After a while, he brought some woods in the cottage and threw them all together. He took out a lighter from his pocket and managed successfully to lit up the fire.
Rushing to Veera, he picked her up. Sitting in front of the bonfire with her in his arms, he tried warming her up with the heat of the fire. Things turned better finally and she stopped shivering. Baldev heaved a sigh in relief to see her fine. Later he tried warming himself too by hanging his palms in the air in front of the fire to absorb its heat. Veera slowly woke up after sometime and was astonished to see herself in his arms. "Baldev!" she murmured his name. Baldev looked at her and instantly hugged her, feeling relaxed and relieved. "Rab da shukar hai ki tu theek hai."
Veera was at the top of the world to see him taking care of her and being so troubled for her health. She unconsciously smiled to see him relieved on seeing her fine.
"Meri jaan nikal gai thi aur tainu hasi aa rahi hai? Kabootari kahiki!" Baldev exclaimed in annoyance and looked away.
Veera smirked. "Meri bohot fikar hai na tainu? Kis vaaste waise?" she questioned mischievously, hoping for him to say what she wanted to hear.
Baldev nervously stared at her. "Dost de vaaste phikar toh hogi na. Waise aye das ki tu sirf baarish ke vajah se aise beemar kaise padh gai?" he asked her anxiously. "Theek hai na tu?"
"Woh 2 din se bukhaar tha issi liye shayad."
"Ki? Bukhar tha? Oye aisi haalat mein baahar nikalna jaroori thi ki? Tu bhi na Veera, kabhi dhyaan nahi rakh sakti khud ka." Baldev concernedly said.
"Tu hai naa, mera dhyaan rakhne de vaaste." Veera instantly replied with a content smile playing on her lips.
Baldev's heart skipped a beat and every time it did so when she smiled like that. "Tere naal humesha thodi hone wala hu main." he said without meeting her eyes and it was obvious that he was either lying or hiding something.
"Agar main kahu ki tu humesha mere naal rahega toh?"
Baldev looked at her in amazement and a pleasant surprise as he did understand what she meant. "Matlabh?" he questioned softly.
Veera cuddled closer to him and looking deeply in his eyes, causing him to gulp in nervousness, she tenderly confessed, "Dil ki gehraai vich tere vaaste vadda pyaar aata hai. Pata hi nahi chala ki kab kaise tainu chahne lagi main."
Baldev widened his mouth in shock as he did not expect at all for her to propose him. First of all, he did not imagine in his wildest dreams that she loved him, especially after she rejected his love some months ago. "Veera, aye tu---"
Without letting him complete his sentence, Veera gently pressed her lips against his, causing him to get the shock of his life. Her fingers crawled on his back and clutched his shirt. She kissed him with all her love that she kept hidden in her heart since so long. Finally she was letting everything out and thus felt so light and free. Whereas she was hoping for him to respond back to her kiss, he was too shocked to even think or do anything.
Veera moved away. "Ki hoya?" she asked him when she saw him sitting like a statue. "Oye Baldeva!" she shook him, bringing him out of his trance. "Kitthe kho gaya?!"
"Tune abhi aye ki kia? Aur ki kaha?" Baldev questioned her, dumbfounded and trying to register everything in his mind.
"Aye ki main tainu pyaar karti hu. Aur phir tainu kiss kia." Veera casually replied.
Slowly and steadily a wide smile crept on Baldev's lips and without wasting a second, he pulled her in a tight, squishy hug. Veera hugged him back.
"Main bhi tainu vadda pyaar karta hu yaar!" Baldev confessed in happiness and tightened his grip around her as in he would never let her go away from his arms.
Few minutes later, they broke their hug. Baldev kissed Veera's forehead and pecked gently on her lips. With a calm, peaceful smile on his face, he gazed her and cupped her face. "Aaj itna vadda sukoon mil raha hai mainu, bolke samjha nahi paunga. Sach mein, mainu aye kabhi nahi laga tha ki tu mainu kabhi pyaar kar sakti hai." he said in an overwhelmed, overjoyed tone.
"Kaisa na karti! Tu hai hi itna acha, itna pyaara." Veera cupped his face and said lovingly. "Thoda kamina aur nalaayak hai, par mere vaaste ekdum sahi hai." she teasingly added, making him laugh and wrap her in his arms again.
Later they lied down on the floor near the fire. Veera rested her head on Baldev's arm while he was holding her by her shoulder. She snuggled closer to him. Chuckling at her own self, she said, "Sapne vich bhi nahi socha tha ki jisko ek minute bhi bardasht nahi hota tha, usko hi pyaar karna lagungi main."
"Toh mainu kitthe pata tha ki tere naal pyaar ho jaaega mainu. Par shayad rab ko yehi manjur tha." Baldev smilingly exclaimed.
"Oye tu kab se rabji nu maanle laga?" Veera asked him curiously and looked at his face.
"Jabse tu vaddi khaas ho gai." Baldev looked in her eyes and affectionately said. He pecked gently on her forehead and her nose. Slowly he traveled to her cheeks and her neck and started kissing her passionately. She pulled him closer and shut her eyes off, but he afterwards moved away, controlling himself as he knew his limits.
"Pehele tere Veerji aur Beeji se tera haath maangna hai phir tainu byaah kar apne ghar laani hai. Uske baad tainu dher saara pyaar karna hai." said Baldev with the most adorable, loving and tender-filled smile ever. Veera was touched to realize that he knew how important her family was to her and that he was supposed to make the boundaries between them if she was getting drown in the ocean of her emotions. Her heart was filled with nothing but pure love and respect for him. Speechless, she simply pulled him in a hug. "I love you Baldeva!"
Baldev knew what she said, but at the same time, he could not say the same to her even though he wanted to. "I---" he stammered.
"I---" Veera said in a loving voice, silently asking him to repeat after her.
"I---" Baldev hesitantly said.
"Love---" her voice turned sweeter.
"Love---" his voice became passionate.
"You---" she said and he repeated after her in a heartfelt manner.
Baldev grinned as he succeeded in it and hugged her tightly. Veera did the same.
