Part 8

The door opened, and a panicked Veera and Baldev, who was unable to hide somewhere in time found that the person who entered was Gunjan.

Baldev: "Tu? Ab tu ne dekh liya na Veera aur mainu ek saath. Ja bata de Ranvi nu, yahin chahti hai na tu?"

Baldev asked Gunjan in anger and with bitterness in his tone.

Gunjan: "Veerji, aap aise kyun keh rahe ho? Haan, uss raat galti merit hi, maine hi Ranvi nu uss jagah jaane kahan taaki voh aapko aur Veera ko ek saath dekh le. Main Ranvi nu kuch nahin kahungi, kyunki mainu pata hai ki aap aur Veera ek doosre se sach mein pyaar karte ho. Main jo bhi karoon, aap kabhi alag nahin honge."

Both Baldev and Veera were surprised, and very suspicious by Gunjan's response.

Veera: "Gunjan bhabhi, jab aap mere aur Baldev ka pyaar dekh sakte hai, toh phir mere veerji ki kyun nahin? Voh aapse kitna zyada pyaar karte hai. Jo bezatti mere veerji aur poore parivar ko hui, uske baad bhi veerji aapke liye kitna kuch karte hai."

Gunjan stood there in silence, taking in what Veera said.

Gunjan: "Yeh le Veera. Maine tere liye soup banaya hai. Pee le."

Gunjan left the bowl of soup beside Veera's bed, and left. Veera's words kept echoing in Gunjan's mind. With all the events that had been happening lately, on the inside, Gunjan couldn't help but start to have and realize her feelings for Ranvi, but she was still not ready to accept it.

Gunjan (thinking to herself): "Nahin, mainu Ranvi se pyaar nahin ho sakta. Mainu voh NRI waali baat abhi bhi yaad hai."

2 days later...

Ranvi was busy counting money, and keeping it aside, when Gunjan came in.

Gunjan: "Ranvi, yeh tu ki kar raha hai?"

Ranvi smiled and handed over the money to Gunjan. Gunjan was confused.

Ranvi: "Yeh le Gunjan. Maine yeh paise tere liye bachai hai teri school ki padhai ko poora karne. Mainu pata hai ki tu bahut naraaz hai ki tujhe apni padhai poori karne ka mauka nahin mila. Toh tu yeh paise le le. Pind mein abhi unhone khaas classes shuru kiye hai un logon ke liye jisne apni padhai poori nahin ki."

Gunjan couldn't help but feel deeply touched, and guilty, and she didn't know why but she got emotional. After everything she had done, Ranvi still cared so much for her, and wanted her unfulfilled dream of completing her studies to come true.

Gunjan: "Ranvi, shukriya! Maine tujhe kitne dukh pahunchaiye hai, lekin tennu mujhse koi naraazgi nahin hai. Tune mere sapnon ke baare socha."

Gunjan smiled at Ranvi. Ranvi smiled back at Gunjan. But then Gunjan realized one thing.

Gunjan: Lekin Ranvi, tune bhi toh school poora nahin kiya. Tu nahin jayega mere saath?"

Ranvi: "Nahin Gunjan, itne bhi paise nahin hai mere paas. Aur main khet ke kaam karke khush hoon. Tu chinta mat kar."

Gunjan had newfound respect for Ranvi, which she had not realized until now.

Gunjan (thinking to herself): "Nahin, main Ranvi ki madad karungi, lekin yeh mera surprise hoga. Ranvi bhi apni padhai poori karega."

Gunjan smiled, when she thought of the idea she had come up with.

Later that evening...

Gunjan had gone to see Baldev at their house.

Baldev (annoyed): "Tu itthe ki kar rahi hai? Mainu tujhse koi baat nahin karni."

Gunjan: "Veerji, mainu pata hai ki aap mujhse naraaz ho, lekin mainu aapki madad chahiye Ranvi ke liye. Aapse paise lene the."

Baldev was puzzled.

Baldev: "Ranvi ki madad? Tu Ranvi ki madad karna chahti hai?"

Gunjan told Baldev everything, about what Ranvi had done for her, with regards to keeping aside money for her to complete her studies.

Baldev was really surprised and touched. Surprised because Gunjan wanted to help Ranvi. And touched because Ranvi truly loved and cared for Gunjan despite everything that had happened, and Gunjan was finally starting to realize that and wanted to help him.

Baldev (smiling): "Tu sach mein Ranvi ki madad karna chahti hai? Toh phir theek hai."

Baldev went and took out cash to give Gunjan to help Ranvi.

Gunjan: "Shukriya veerji! Main aapse vaada karti hoon, ki jo bhi hua pehle meri vajah se, main usse sab theek kardungi."

Baldev was really happy and relieved that after everything that had happened, Gunjan was starting to realize her mistakes.

Later that night...

In Veera's house...

Veera's phone began to ring, and when she checked to see who it was, she smiled on seeing Baldev's name.

Veera: "Baldev, ki hoya? Ab tu phone kyun kar raha hai?"

Baldev: "Jo main tenu kehne ja raha hoon, tu vishwaas hi nahin karegi!"

Now, Veera was curious to know what Baldev was going to say.

Veera: "Bol na, ki hoya?"

Baldev: "Aaj maine Gunjan nu paise diya, Ranvi ki padhai ke liye. Jo bhi paise the, Ranvi ne Gunjan nu de diya uski padhai poori karne, lekin Ranvi ne apne baare nahin socha. Gunjan ne khud mujhse paison ke liye manga, jo voh Ranvi ki padhai ke liye dena chahti hai."

Veera was stunned, but also touched by Gunjan's changing feelings towards Ranvi.

Veera (smiling): "Yeh toh bahut khushi ki baat hai Baldeva! Main abhi veerji nu bata deti hoon."

Baldev: "Nahin Veera, ruk! Tu Ranvi nu kuch nahin bataiyegi. Gunjan Ranvi nu surprise dena chahti hai."

Veera (laughed): "Theek hai Baldev. Main veerji se kuch nahin kahungi."

The next morning.

Gunjan was ready to go to the special school/center where she would be completing her studies.

Ranvi: "Gunjan, tu tayaar ho gayi? Chal main tenu school chod deta hoon."

Ranvi had told Ratan about the money he had kept aside and given to Gunjan to complete her studies, which had really upset Ratan, because of Gunjan's behavior and the fact that Ranvi would not be joining Gunjan in completing his studies.

Gunjan: "Ruk ja Ranvi! Main school akele nahin jaungi. Tu bhi apni padhai poori karega mere saath."

Ratan couldn't help but smile, hearing Gunjan's news. Chaiji was also very happy. Even though Baldev had already told Veera everything, still Veera couldn't help but be very happy.

Ranvi: "Yeh tu ki keh rahi hai Gunjan? Voh paise maine tere liye rakhi thi. Toh tu aur paise kahan se le aayi?"

Gunjan (thinking to herself): "Agar maine Ranvi nu sach bata diya ki maine veerji se paise liye, toh voh mujhse aur veerji se naraaz hoga."

Gunjan: "Ranvi, tu bhool gaya? Mere paas bhi toh paise hai na. Toh tu chinta karna chod, aur mere saath school chal."

Ranvi couldn't believe it. He smiled at Gunjan, still feeling like this was all a dream.
