Part 4

Gunjan is very while cooking and ends up putting lots of salt in the food..

Some guests arrive at home for dinner... its gunjans some aunt uncle and few unknown ppl too..

All are bust welcoming them and seating them for dinner.. bansuri as usual is very smiling and talking to them..

Gunjan comes down quite upset and quiet... baldev notices her upset cos generally she is a very chirpy and happy... he tries to read her face and mind but he is not able to..

The dinner is served... all the guests sit down smiling and bansuri and gunjan are serving all the food..

Bansuri speaks up " aaj ka saara khana na meri gunjan ne banaya hai." And serves to all..

The guests eat the first morsel.. and they start to see eachother.. then one person just spits out the food into their hand.. and the others too don't eat the food.. bansuri and gunjan are shocked.. balwant also had eaten the food.. he slowly calls bansuri

"bansuri ji.. iss khane wich bahut saara namak hai"

Bansuri is shocked.. she holds gunjans hand and takes her inside.. and tastes the food.. almost all the dishes are extremely salty and pathetic to taste... she gives an angry look to gunjan.. gunjan is unable to understand.. she just walks away..

Balwant asks them not to eat the food.. and asks baldev to parcel from some near by dhaba..and he goes away to do that..

Balwant invites everyone to sit in the hall and talk till baldev gets the food...

Bansuri is angry in the kitchen.. just then one lady from the guests enter.. " bansuri.. yeh kya kiya tune.. maine kahan than a inn logon ka acche se khayal rakhna.. maine kitne mehnat se inn logon ko yahan aane ke liye manaya.. aur tumne sab kuch bigaadne ka soch liya hai"

Bansuri tries to explain "dekh pammi.. yeh sab na kaise hua main nahi jaanti.. gunjan ne galti se khane mein namak dal diya hoga.. itna to wok logon ko samjha de.. ek choti sit hi to galti hai"

Pammi answers back " choti is galti..yeh log teri gunjan ko apne munde ke liye pasand kar sakte hain.. aur aisa hua to baldev ki zingagi bhi ban jayegi.. unke munde ki vadi business hai videsh vich"

Bansuri gets very angry and upset...

Baldev manages to get some food and all the guests eat and leave...

The next morning bansuri gets a call from pammi and she tells bansuri that the family who had come for dinner have rejected to propose alliance with gunjan..

Also she gives a piece of mind to bansuri for all the mess gunjan has done..

Bansuri gets very agitated and throws around some of the things in her room... and she rushes to gunjans room to talk to her..

Gunjan is sitting near her room and lost in thoughts.. just then bnsuri enters like a strom..

" gunjan.. tere wajah se na aaj sab kuch bigad gaya"

Gunjan looks at her in astonishment

" kya keh rahe hain log.. bansuri ki kudi nu khana bhi nahi banana aata.. sab barbaad kar diya hai tune"

Gunjan answers back " par beeji.. aisa bhi kya ho gaya.. thodi si galti hi to hiu thi"

Bansuri answers back " thodi si galti?? Unn logo ke nri munde ke saath tera byah tei ho jata.. lekin ab kuch nahi hua"

Gunjan looks at bansuri in bit of anger " beeji.. acha hua.. mainu kisi se byah nahi karna"

Bansuri shouts back " bas gunjan.. tu to sirf apne bare mein hi soch.. apne veer ka to kuch bhi nahi.. uska kya?? Uss nri munde ki vada business hai videsh mein.. mere baldev ki bhi zindagi bann jaati"

Gunjan gets more angry " beeji aapko sirf baldev veerji ki hi padi hai.. aur meri?? Aap mera byah uss munde se sirf isiliye karana chahti hai taki who veerji ke liye kuch kar sake"

Bansuri grabs gunjans arms and says" haan mainu sirf mere puttar ki padi hai.. kyuki kal ko humare budhape ka sahara tera veer hi banega.. tu nahi.. tera bas byah ho jaye aur humara bhoj utar jaaye" she says and walks away..

Gunjan falls to the floor in tears.. she is completele heart broken as she dint expect her mother to tell her such a painful thing.. not that she dint know her behaviour.. but today she felt completely broken and hopeless..

She sits down crying.. she looks around as she wants someone to hold her comfort her.. but noone is there..

She sees her father sitting in the hall down.. she walks up to him.. "papaji.."

Balwant reading his paper... he gets up and walks away .. he has been giving a cold shoulder to gunjan ever since she rejected ranvi's alliance..

Its night.. and gunjan decides to go and meet ranvi..

She sneaks out and goes to meet ranvi at his place.. she enters the house and sees noone.. she quickly runs to his room.. ranvi suddenly grabs her arm

" itthe ki kar rahi hai"

Gunjan smiles seeing him " ranvi mainu tujhse kuch gal karni hai"

Ranvi gets angry and grabs her hand and drags her downstairs till the door.. all the members of the house come there to see whats happening between them..

Ranvi takes her down and shows his hand towards the door " chali ja yahaan se gunjan.. mainu tujhse koi baat nahi karni"

Gunjan is in tears " theek hai ranvi main chali jaongi.. sirf ek baat batana chahti hoon tujhe.. ki mai tujhse bahut pyar karti hoon ranvi.."

Ranvi looks at her .. but tries not to give any expressions..

" main jaanti hoon ki maine tere saath vadda galat kiya.. pa kya tu mainu apne kiye pe pachtane ka ek mauka bhi nahi dega?" gunjan says crying

Ratan , veera and chaiji all standing around and watching the whole thing..

Ranvi collects his thoughts and says back " chali jaa gunjan.. main tujhe kabhi maaf nahi karunga"

Gunjan slowly lets go off ranvis hand that she was holding and talking.. she gulps down her tears and disappointment and slowly walks away out of the door..

She is totally broken down.. as it starts raining heavily.. she keeps walking like a robot..

And keeps thinking about everything.. her life ..her lonely life.. a mother who doesn't care, a brother who doesn't understand her, a father who is not speaking toher and her best friend and his family whom she herself drove away out of her life..

She holds her arms in depression and walks home..

She reaches the hall of her house and stands and looks at the wall with the photos of her mother father and baldev.. and then teary eyed she goes to her room and locks it from inside..
