Baldev after wandering for what felt like eternity, trying to battle with his inner demons finally reached the dhaaba where he had arranged for the new year di party. Baldev was relieved that there was not even a trace of Veera anywhere around... Baldev ruffled his air as if getting out of hallucination or rather his veerucination mode... "Laakh laakh shukaar hai Rabbji mainu uss Veera se door rakhne ke liye... warna toh aaj kal wohh mainu ghulaam banaake phirti hai... Kabhi khayaalon mein kaidh karti hai, kabhi aankhon se rok leti hai aur kabhi naukar ki tarah seva karvaati hai... Mujhe aur kya kya ban na padega uske vaaste...!!!!"

But little did he know that all his pleas would be unheard in a matter of seconds and his dream of staying away from HER would be crashed in no time by his arch rival Veera. Baldev didn't expect Veera at the dhaaba, at that time of the day. The moment Veera stepped in, Baldev knew things would be different. Every time with Veera around, plans are bound to go haywire. Baldev knew with Veera, he should always be ready to welcome the unexpected...

Baldev was annoyed, that his effort to stay away from HER was pointless, in that frustration he literally yelled at her... "Oye Veera... Aandhi toofan ki tarah kithe jaa rahi ho???" Veera smirked, "Shukar hai Baldev kam se kam tu ne abhi maan toh liya main koi aandhi ya toofan se kam nahi..." She had a victory smile on her face that she had caught Baldev off guard. Baldev cursed his tongue, he murmured silently, "Aaj tak tujhe samajh mein nahi aaya hai kya yeh sherni ke saamne zubaan pe lagaam lagaake baat karna padega..." Seeing the ever smiling Veera, Baldev got ready for his revenge, "Mainu din raat sataane ke liye isse chotti sazaa nahi diya toh kya kiya Baldevaaa..." Veera asked, "Ki... Akele bad badaa rahe ho??? Pyaar ho gaya hai kya tujhe...??? Waise mein bhi kya pooch rahi hoon na kawwa toh bad badaane ke alaava kar bhi kya sakta hai..." Baldev's eyes had almost popped out at the mention of "Pyaar" that too from her mouth... It felt strangely nice... But the very next moment it gave way to irritation... "Veera!!!!! He gritted his teeth to control the sudden outburst of emotion..." He continued with his fist clenched, "Kawwa kisse bula rahi hai... Haan mainu ek galat fehmi ho gayi... Tu aandhi yaa toofan nahi hai... Iss Karan di party mein kawwa ki tarah bin bulaayi mehmaan hai..." Veera's eyes were twinkling at the mention of party... Did Baldev really mention a party, that too for Karan??? She had to ignore the former part of his comment and now concentrate on the latter party part... Baldev could not believe that he himself let the cat out of the bag... Baldev murmured, "Yeh mujhse saara sach kaise ugalwaa deti hai... wohh bhi inni aasaani se... Rabbji kya iski baton mein jaadoo hai yaa iski nazron mein... Mainu bataoo..."

Veera suddenly changed her fighting mode and was smiling at Baldev and asked him, "Baldev tu mainu party mein bulaa raha hai naa..." Baldev just prayed, "Aise naa karr Veera, ab toh tu meri sapnewaali humshakal lag rahi hai... Usse mein naa kabhi nahi keh paaoonga..." In the whole confusion between his sapnewaali and band bajaanewaali Veera Baldev nodded his head in a yes!!! Veera jumped at the chance and told "thank u Baldevaa... Mainu party mein bulaane ke liye..." Baldev covered his ears for a second in disbelief... He asked, "Ki????" Veera repeated, "Thank u Baldevaa... She repeated with a smile..." Baldev rolled his eyes and told Veera, "Abb bagal idhar se, zabardasti ke mehmaan ..." Then he said in a whisper, "Mehmaan hai, dushman hai, haivaan hai yaa meri jaan ..." Veera disappeared from there in a matter of seconds like his sapnewaali... Baldev thought " Veera toh meri band bajaake hi chodegi party mein, yeh toh mujhe pakka pata hai. Agar wohh sheharwaalaa Karan ke saamne meri phati toh phir kya izzat reh jaani hai".

Baldev was doing a countdown mentally to kick start the party, but he could hear his heartbeats thumping at his chest ever so loudly with each passing second... He reassured it was for making Karan happy, making the party a hit... Baldev welcomed Karan and all his chamchas to the party, still his eyes were searching for something... or rather for someone... Then he heard that tune similar to his dreams... He did not want to turn back...He murmured "Nahi Baldevaa wohh bas sapna tha... Wohh kabhi sach nahi honi hai..." If the music of the bangles and paayal was not enough to lure his senses, he could feel the gentle fragrance of jasmine teasing him... He slowly turned towards her with his eyes tightly shut... Then he heard her... "Tujhe mein dikhaayi nahi de rahi kya???" This can't be true he kept telling himself and slowly opened his eyes... He was speechless... "Agar sapna saamne aa jaati hai toh aisa lagta hai kya!!! Wahi Reshami Baal, Wahi Pariyoon ki jaise safhed kapda, Wahi nasheeli khushboo, Wahi roohaani paayal ki chan chan, Wahi rang birangi sapnewaali... Bas farak itna hai ki sapnon mein wohh sirf uski thi... Sirf uski...Lekin yeh realwaali hai... Jo na kabhi uski thi... na kabhi banegi..." Before Baldev came out of his dream, he heard her making fun of him, "Hapy hapy new year ji... Oye Baldev tujhe happy nahi rehana aanda yeh mainu pata tha lekin happy bolna bhi nahi aanda yeh aaj pata chalaa..." Telling this she high-fived with Karan... She noticed the change of expression of Baldev, "Yeh binaa baat kiye kyun jaa raha hai..." Baldev was exasperated with sorrow and anger, he reminded himself, "Veera tu meri jaan nahi dushman hai... Dushman... Haiavaan banke meri zindagi kharaab karne vaaste pind wich aayi hai... Chaddunga nahi tujhe mein... "

Baldev developed a plot in his mind, "Aaj iss ne mujhe chunauti di toh isko main nahi chaddunga.. Papaaji ka bottle shottle nikaalke rakha hai na... Aaj main tujhe dikhaaonnga ki mujhe happy rehana bhi aata hai and happy rakhna bhi... Aaj tu naachegi aur sabko happy banaa degi... Dekh lena... Happywala New Year... Happy da saal ke liye... Veera..."
