Mumbai, 26 October, 2016: Destiny, love and happily ever after... are these mere words or does it actually happen to people when they are least expecting it? This is the concept of "Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil" an exciting new show brought to you by Star Plus and Ekta Kapoor. This is the story of "Naina", a caring, loving, innocent and independent woman who travels to a different country in search for her love. This is the story of a good doer, charming, ever helping and equally innocent "Raghav" who longs for the right one who can hold his hand walk with him through the journey of life. Their story will make you wonder if your loved one was always destined to meet you in a bond forged in heavens!

A refreshing tale of romance set in the exquisite locales of Austria, the show that brings together the most talked about actors of the television screen - Arjun Bijlani, Drashti Dhamiand Surekha Sikri is about two unsuspecting individuals that are brought close to each other in a series of coincidences. The show will take you into the life of Naina, played by Drashti Dhami who lives in a middle class household in Mumbai who the destiny brings closer to Raghav played by Arjun Bijlani.

Drashti Dhami would be seen in a completely new look. She is not only the caretaker of her single mother but also her best friend. A Professor of literature, her sincerity and maturity is reflected in her way of life. Staying optimistic towards her ideal love story, she believes her man will find her way into her life someday but is far away from the conventional clichs of the society about the age to find love and get married. A virtuous woman, she has learnt to find her way through any difficult situation. Finding love in Raghav, over a series of happy coincidences is a journey ready to unfold.

Sharing her thoughts on her character, Drashti said, "Naina is very close to my heart as it is like none of my other characters, I do relate to her as a woman. I feel humbled to have been selected for a role which inspires me as a person and is bound to leave a long-lasting impression on the audience." She further adds on the concept, "Viewers will watch the relationship of two strangers mature into friendship and then gradually culminate into love. The journey to love will showcase how love knows no stereotypes set by our society."

Raghav is a man with charming, compassionate, ever helping person whose smiling demeanor charms everyone. He is the pillar of strength for Mehra family especially Indumati Mehra played by Surekha Sikri. The show will unfold a series of circumstances bringing Raghav closer to Naina, with whom he will fall in love with later.

Excited about the new show, Arjun said, "I am overwhelmed with what Raghav's character brings to the small screen. It has been a challenging performance as his character has the shades of cool and calm. He inspires empathy in all. I thoroughly enjoy carrying his wit in my real life as much as on set."

Launching the show, director and producer Ekta Kapoor shared, "I have always wanted to bring Drashti and Arjun in a lead pair. With this narrative, I look forward to telling my audience that they should expect love to happen anywhere and anytime in their lives."

The show will bring together some of the old and new actors like Additi Gupta, Alka Amin, Laksh and many more to be seen in different roles, bringing an extraordinary bouquet of talent on the small screen.
