Ranaji is playing chess in palace garden. Savitri plays a move and checkmates him in the game. A surprised Ranaji asks if she knows how to play chess. She says Queen protects King in this game. In real life also Husband protects wife and wife can sacrifice her life to save husband. Ranaji says he hasnt seen it happening in real life. Savitri says he might have seen but doesnt remember right now. Ranaji says he can trust only what he remembers. She says he trusted everyone, now should once trust his love as well. In the game the moves decide win/defeat but in real life only love decides victory and defeat. Ranaji asks why she hasnt got married yet? Its her personal matter but he wants to know. She is shocked at the question but then says she is dark complexioned so its very difficult for her to get married. Ranaji asks what she lacks? They have been worshiping black Shyam with fair Radha and Maa Kali since ages. The Britishers differentiate between white and black and thats the main objection against them. He smiles and says Black Money and black heart arent good but dark complexioned person can also be beautiful. Savitri gets happy that Ranaji is talking like Ranaji of earlier days. She thinks the medicines are working on him. He praises Savitri that she is a very nice girl; she is very understanding, honest and magnanimous; whoever she marries will really be a fortunate man! She says she has left it to her fate and asks him to think about himself and listen to his heart. He says she is right. He should stop living in past and live in present only. Now he will find out his truth himself. He'll give another chance to his wife. Savitri is elated to hear this but gets shocked very next moment when Ranaji says he'll give another chance to Rageshwari. He says he cant punish Rag. for Gayatri's mistake; he has married her and promised marital vows; now he'll fulfill those vows. He thanks Savitri that all this became possible because of her only; she always advised him to listen to his heart and live in present. She fakes a smile. He leaves. She thinks she has to talk to Rajmata. She tells RM that she is disguising as Savitri so that she can unmask Rag. and reveal the truth to Ranaji that Gayatri was innocent but nothing of that sort is happening. They planned attack on Rag so that they can reach her accomplices but with that Rag. gained entry in Ranaji's room. Ranaji came close to her on Holi but Laksh's death voided the chance. Now when she advised Ranaji to forget the past, he thought her to be hinting at Rag. and he is going to fulfill his promises to her. RM asks if she lost the courage so soon? She boosts her morale and advises her to not lose courage and patience and keep fighting. Savitri is determined to not accept defeat and achieve her goal.
In the morning Rag. wakes up and orders her bed-tea. Ranaji greets her with "Good morning". She wonders which servant knows English in palace and gets shocked when Ranaji himself serves her bed-tea. Gayatri watches from outside. Rag. asks how come he brought the tea for her. He replies, co-incidence! She says this beautiful co-incidence happened for the first time. He asks her if they can have dinner together tonight. She chokes on her tea hearing this. He apologizes and says he thought if the two of them spend time together, they will be better able to understand each other but if she doesnt want to then its okay. She cuts inbetween that she has no objection and is so happy and excited; she has been waiting for this night since long. He smiles and leaves. Rag. is enraptured and does happy jigs. Savitri feels upset. Ranaji tells Savitri he followed her advise. He has invited Rag. to dinner tonight and wants to make the evening special for Rag. but doesnt know what to do. Seeing Savitri upset, he asks her if she isnt happy that he is going to spend some time with his wife Rag. Savitri fakes smiles and says she is very happy. He entrusts Savitri with RaRa dinner arrangements. She suggests him to have dinner with his family but he says tonight he wants to spend the time with his wife in private, w/o anyone's intervention. She is shocked. He says he trusts her the most and leaves. She rues that she herself pushed her husband to her sauten.
Savitri is annoyed & doing arrangements for RaRa dinner. Rag. is elated and feeling proud of herself. She asks Savitri to change the dinner table arrangement and decorate everything in pink as pink is her fav. color but Savitri denies and says she'll change the arrangements only when Ranaji tells her to do so. Rag. says Ranaji is doing all these for her only. Savitri indirectly calls Rag. "Gadhi" and tells her Ranaji is gifting her a beautiful evening but Rag. rather than getting ready for the evening, is arguing with her here. Rag. says she will take time in getting ready today but once she gets ready, Ranaji would be completely swept off his feet. Gayatri gets more annoyed.
Rag. is getting ready. BRM taunts her about decking up. Rag. tells her today she wont mind any of her taunts; she is very happy today as Ranaji himself has planned a dinner with her tonight. BRM is stunned. Rag. says she too was stunned when in the morning Ranaji had got tea for her and then told her he wanted to spend time with her alone. BRM thinks Ranaji cant do this when Gayatri is here; so this must Gayatri's plan. She wonders what could be Gayatri's motive in sending Ranaji to Rag. Rag. is jubilating that ultimately Ranaji got smitten with her beauty. Ranaji is getting ready and asks Savitri if Rag. would like his outfit. She says he is looking dapper and so handsome but clothes' color is dull and gives him bright red color shirt. Ranaji hesitates but agrees to wear it as she insists. She mumbles this is his punishment as she has to wear this bright color-village woman attire so wont let him wear nice clothes for dinner with Rag. BRM advises Rag. she shouldnt go on dinner with Ranaji tonight. Rag. asks why when all these days she herself wanted RaRa to get closer. BRM says mouse has to put in lot of efforts to get the cheese and when the cheese itself comes to mouse, then its a bait. She tells Rag. someone is conspiring against her to know the truth of that day (when Gayatri shot Ranaji and then died herself too) Rag. doesnt believe her and says this night has come after waiting for so long; till now she was only a queen for the name's sake but tonight she'll become Ranaji's queen in real sense. She cant miss this night at any cost. BRM thinks Rag. is going to be pawn of her biggest enemy Gayatri's move. She wants to unmask Gayatri at Ranaji's hands but this is possible only when Savitri goes to Ranaji instead of Rag. She wonders how to do this.
