Now for that important question that seems to be plaguing the forum - is he faking?
For all those who think he is, my simple question would be since when? From the dargah, from the moment they returned to the palace, when?

If it is from the dargah, why would he? When he personally nursed her back to life? He wanted to bring her back to life so he could take revenge?

If it is from the time they returned to the palace, for what joy? I mean, what exactly happened that he would take revenge? Just because his mother and wife exchanged smiles? Even the black veiled woman got to know things only subsequently about RM's involvement in G being shot! So for what exactly was he taking revenge? If RNJ already knew of G or RM's involvement, what was the point of the black veiled lady even overhearing the conversation?

Also, this whole thing about lightning speed romance? I don't get it! The man's wife has been dead for six years and he has been grieving and laboring under misplaced guilt ever since! The fact that he actually recklessly went to fight the war personally suggests that he was practically trying to get killed! His emotions vis a vis G have been conflicted right from the beginning. He doesn't even know quite what he feels. Whatever it is, it is very, very strong! No lukewarm or half emotions there. He resented her and hated her when he thought she'd manipulated her way into his life! Yet he could not stop himself from admiring her innate courage and goodness and stood up for her just for that! Why couldn't he have treated her with contempt and disdain? Why did he rant and rave every time he thought she'd disappointed him and betrayed him? Why did her betrayal matter so much to him? It was almost like his anger against her was his defense mechanism, because he somewhere felt very conflicted about moving on! He preferred to believe in circumstantial evidence that allowed him to retain this defensive posture because he was scared of letting of letting himself go! Also, when a person has had his heart broken once, he would be naturally wary of giving himself again and would prefer to delay the inevitable using every excuse!

Now,after the extreme situations that they have been through, his defense is well and truly broken! He has been on the verge of losing this woman, who has suddenly become very central to his existence even without his realizing it! We already got to see how Sula had slipped through his conscious when he responded to the feeding scene between Bansi and Mala by feeding G himself! If S and her memories were even in his conscious, would he have done that? It took G to remind him of Sula, In the tumultuous days that have just passed, he has forgotten his misplaced guilt, anger and resentment. All of that have been pushed out of his mind and heart by something much larger, much stronger and even better, something that is still growing!

He knows G loves him to bits. He has felt the power of his attraction towards her. What is he supposed to do next? Go back to platonic conversations and innocent romance?

For a man as passionate conversation, isn't it obvious that physical intimacy would be the next step? But he does not want to rush G but would rather woo her into physical pleasures step by step! He has her heart and he has her mind already! All that is left is to seal the pact through a physical union. He may not spell things out but it is obvious both to G and him that he feels deeply for her and wants her just as much! I am deliberately not using the word love here because he has chosen not to give it that label yet! Maybe he will soon enough if that hug that is coming up is any indication! He is anyway committed to the relationship for a lifetime!

I don't think they are rushing into intimacy given the context of their powerful emotions, the tumultuous experiences they have been through and so on. I don't feel the need for RNJ's monologue. That song sequence at the dargah told me all that I wanted to know. His every gesture and every expression has been speaking to me since! I don't need him to tell me that he does not believe in the allegations that he had levelled against G anymore because I already know that he is motivated by far more than such reservations!

When there is warm and willing woman in front of him who is also his wife and when he is certainly not immune to her charms and even likes her enough as a person, why would he hold back?

So, bottom line is I don't think he is faking. There is one more important reason why I don't think he is! They are setting him up for a big fall, a big MU and for that to happen, he must be, he has to feel strongly for G. If he was faking even now, how is the situation any different from the Wilkison episode? He needs for his heart to be engaged now for it to break now!

The fact that the black veiled lady is now aware of RM's secret indicates that they are going to play with the gun episode for the MU.

Here is my conjecture - what if the black veiled lady managed to plant the gun in G's room? Just like she did with the wedding lehenga? What if she conspired to make it seem like the gun was in G's possession? RNJ is enough of a warrior to recognize weapons and to know what kind of bullet would cause what kind of injury.

What if like the payal, the gun is made an evidence? The fact that RM asked the gun to be hidden away is proof that this is surely going to happen! What if a situation is created where G is perceived to be guilty or at least that she colluded with RM? Or what, if like other mahanta ki murti FLs, she decides to take the blame to save her mother-in-law! Since RM hatched the conspiracy for her sake anyway!

When a conflicted RNJ responded so strongly to perceived betrayal, a besotted RNJ is going to be worse! He is going to be wounded tiger and snap and snarl! And, right or wrong, he is going to believe the worst!

Why do I get the feeling that the Swarna situation may bring them back together?

Much of my analysis is based on logic and common sense. However, they become the first casualty in desi soaps! So I could be all wrong and RNJ could be faking after all! Thought I should add this line as a caveat!

Hello girls..Happy Sunday😃. Been waiting to write in, but was off on a break. Friday's episode was ok in bits for me:
RAGA SCENE:
In isolation, it was beautiful. The song, picturisation, 👏. My hubby happened to be watching with me, and he said, oh there's that Gujrati girl again😆, and who's that guy, oh ok...why are they in that position for so long, what does it mean, why is she crying??😆. No fun for me obviously watching with him, but I did get an insight into what a preoccupied mind would think about the scene😆. Much has been said about Ranaji walking away, with fists closed, so won't elaborate. it was well done. I thought for an instant, he may have thought, if he went ahead, she would have been his. But, according to him, it would not be fair to her to give in to that moment of attraction he felt for her. Dining room scene was for me, much like a newly married couple behaves, aware of each other's presence. I liked it.
The pre-cap threw me off completely and the upcoming spoilers do make me wonder what is in store. I agree with BW, that him faking seems too far fetched. Does'nt that Mona Lisa like portrait of Sula tug at his conscience when he goes back to his room???? I am uncomfortable with the physical closeness at this point. It seems forced. I liked the 'nok jhok' because they also did it in a way to let the couple know more about each other, be it the book reading or the word association.

So, my feeling..it could be that when he finds out about RM 's huge manipulation, he will be disgusted with himself for toeing the line, albeit, unknowingly. And then he would go back to being distant, thought it would not be fair at all to G. I really hope he does'nt misunderstand G, that does'nt make sense at all. Faking would be a total no-no from my POV. Second time in two weeks, he just did that in the jungle!

SWARNA:
I found it distasteful that the CVs make Gayatri crack a joke about Kunwar chachi, while Swarna was tied under the bed. These are the things they should avoid. Like the dhoomketu with the pyre burning behind. How could they do it, I really wonder? Do they get to do the editing or is it outsourced to someone else? 😕

GENERAL:
There seems to be a lot of hustle bustle around the serial, in terms of establishing the couple. I guess they think they did it too late. But am sure there are plenty of tracks they could use or could have used. The freedom struggle episode could have been used later or extended so that at least we see a common bond between them of shared experiences. If I compare other serials, this is way better, but they are going really slow on the drama quotient. Too much reliance on the leads chemistry will take away from the constant entertainment that a daily soap needs. And it is all there...Swarna, BRM, Black veiled woman.

BTW, at the risk of sounding like BRM, why does'nt the Rani wear at least the maang tikka?? She does'nt look like a Rani at all!!

For everyone who thinks he's faking ,I formerly being one myself, after watching the sbs vids I don't think he is.
In todays sbs vid they showed a karvachaut ritual along with RaGa being how I would've imagined them after about 6 months .Reason for this sudden change in ranaji has been brought about by the new writing team of etr2 as stated by sid in his iv.
Cant help but say I'm disappointed as I was looking forward to seeing the gradual deepening of the relationship between Rana and gayatri.Sorry for pessimism.Sigh!

The only reason why I would love an MU, despite it breaking G's heart, is that I quite like the angst ridden RNJ...he has a gorgeous smile and is ever so charming...but I'd rather the smile and charm are used sparingly...didn't like him as much during his Swarna phase...and feel he is being turned into even more of a sweetheart with G...I like men with bite...😕

Yeah...am not too fond of a ever smiling, saccharine sweet RNJ..but will watch if my baby lets me 😆

It is a bit of a 'damned if you do and damned if you don't' situation for Sid, Shwets...there are those who find it fantastic that he is subtle and then there are others to whom the same appears as lacking in emotion or the ability to perform...so he's got to juggle, I guess...there will be times when he will please one set and times when he pleases the other...

Personally I would have liked a nod or two lesser...seemed repetitive...should have been corrected...and the scene itself was stretched...we had the serving, then the napkin, then the fork, and so on...possibly the audience was being given a lesson in table manners...and since this was about table manners, he was probably making doubly sure neither she nor the audience would make a faux pas 😆

However, given that the audience voting for extreme subtlety is not particular large, the TRPs of the show would be better served by him playing it a notch higher...so it can register that he is PERFORMING 😆

Well..Karva Chauth is round the corner...they can't help that..😆

They forced the pace when they conceived scenes like near death experience, nursing back to health and emotional melt down...now how does the guy do reticent after that?

I don't even mind that...I just wish they hadn't made him so sugarcoated and gharelu...he is a King for God's sake, I wish I could scream at them 😕

@Bertie: logically speaking, he shouldn't be faking it. Most people are speculating he might be faking it because the pace at which the romance is going is too fast to digest. Add to that, past experiences with other shows and there you have the reason.

The dargah sequence made it obvious that he doesn't believe in his allegations anymore..he indirectly said it during the star gazing sequence too when he told her that she did change her fate. But the speed of change doesn't sit well with most because they spend too much time establishing his guilt over marrying again and betraying his dead wife and not enough time (or rather no time) to show how he is ready to and comfortable with moving on in all ways possible.

The constant flash backs and scenes of speaking to Sula's portrait did their job of establishing his love for Sula too well. So much so that most would expect him to feel at least some reservation over physical intimacy with gayatri, more so since the acceptance has been indirect..the extent of acceptance left unclear

OMG! Sulakshana (Jayna Tida) is back! In the history of TV anything may happen and now yes this is a biggest shock for the fans of the show.

As per the sources Ranaji will make break the fast of Gayatri and trying to express his love but suddenly he sees Sulakshana standing before him. Well this is amazing twist in the show. Ranaji started to forget his wife just now and she is back!

Now what will Ranaji do? Does he will go with new found love or to the love which he cherishing these all years?

We tried to get connect with Jayna Tida but she did not revert.

Stay tuned for more exciting updates.
