Everyone was lined up waiting on their turn. Raghav and gauri were in the waiting room. They were staring at the screen which was calculating the votes. The one in the blue represent Raghav, while the red says gauri. So far gauri was winning.
She smirk at Raghav every time her votes being counted. " well i guess people prefer my idea son"
Raghav didn't say anything. He was just observing the screen. He wonder why locals are buying that expensive pass. Something wasnt right, he knew the upper class would by, but the lower class buying it as well was very suspicious. " what is that girl doing here" gauri says
Raghav turn back to the other screen to see kalpi limping her way to the door. He raise his brow, before getting up. " excuse me" he says
Gauri while watching him leave says " you might as well dont come back son, you should rest after the defeat"
Raghav walk downstairs heading to kalpi.
Kalpi on the other hand was debating if she should stay or leave. She had overheard sammy talking about the bet rags made with gauri, she wanted to help him even if it means voting. She turn when her name was called.
She watch as raghav walk to her. Her face brighten. " rags" she says
" what are you doing here girl"
" i came to support you"
" its not needed, you should go back" he examine her leg and sigh " your making your leg even worse, by coming out here. I would hate to carry you again. Your not the lightest person in the world."
Kalpi frown" im sorry, but i wont change my mind"
Raghav sigh " just sit by the stairs somewhere and dont cause trouble."
She pouts when he walk away and starts grumbling about dumb husband not even hugging her for coming. She made her way to the stairs and sat down. It wasnt long before raghav came back.
" here, you probably didnt eat anything yet so you can have this snack"
Kalpi heart skip " tthank you" she blushed
raghav smile, he surprise kalpi again by kissing her forehead. " see you later"
She touch her forehead, and grin
, but than stopped when realize it was her imagination. " stupid kalpi snap out of it"
kalpi while in her thoughts heard people passing by talking about gauri " can you believe we get five-hundred dollar gift card just to vote for her idea."
" i know right, im going straight to the mall"
" me too"
kalpi listening says " gauri is cheating raghav, i should tell him." She says " but raghav says not to cause trouble, and he wont listen" " what shoud i do, think kalpi"
She saw sammy with some boxes going to the bathroom. She had an idea. She followed sammy and wait until he enters the bathroom. She grab a hairpin from her hair and tempered with the lock until she heard a click " now you wont come out"
A man walk to her, kalpi says the bathroom is out of serves. She watch him leave , before limping outside. " excuse me" she says
" yes"
" i am raghav wife , and i need you to stop passing out these gift cards. "
" but gauri told us too"
Kalpi says " its a violation of the company code of conduct, if the company didnt approve of it than you will likely be arrested for selling unathorized product under the company name."
" but mam, its not under the company name"
" i know, but the police dont know that. Besides your in our territory and the singhania are a very powerful people. Who do you think they will believe, you or me"
The guy gulp. He quickly gives the card back to kalpi, and leaves. The people in line frown. Kalpi says " you would rather have a gift card that will run out of money in a day, than being satisfied with the fare price."
The people quiet down. Kalpi says " gauri wants to make it harder for you all and is doing it by buying you guys with this, is that what you really want. Or do you want someone that will care about your needs and make sure your satisfied."
" shes right, we cant afford the price gauri wants us to pay. "
" but what about the promise gauri made us"
" forget about it" another says
Kalpi smile, lets see who wins now.
Three hours later... ...
Gauri and Raghav were both by the steps. News reporters were everywhere. They were asking Raghav what was the decision, who won the vote. Gauri told them to calm down, she says this was a fare fight, ad a close one, and win or loose she's happy her son is understanding the business world.
Raghav walks near gauri, " in my hand is the contract to my idea, this will reinsure that as long as the people are satisfied, no one will change the fare price, not even me"
Gauri roll her eyes at that. She showed her paper saying " this will increase our company profit and give us the opportunity to add new idea and to the singhania express.
Sammy says " while both ideas were good, but unfortunately only one pass and that is non other than Raghav " Sammy says in dismay.
