Note: I dont update on weekends, but I was supposed to yesterday, but my file for the next chapter was gone. So I had to rewrite the part am over again. I was at the mosque so I couldn't post , but here you go.
surprise both Sammy and gauri look at one another. " what are you saying sammy, are you sure" gauri mustard
" miraculously, raghav has won"
Gauri seeing as the camera were watching holds her tongue " than I guess a congrats is in order" she says to raghav
The camera were taking pictures and asking him question. Raghav smirk at his mom before speaking " I'm glad everyone voted for my idea. now we will continue to make sure nothing will happen to the prices and try to make everyone as comfortable as possible."
More people asks raghav questions and of course he answered. Raghav turn around with his document and pen. He walk to his mom and told her to sign. Raghav tells her the cameras are watching so she better hurry up. Gauri asks when did he bring the paparazzi.
" well,I thought why not make it more interesting by calling them to come, I figure with them around you will be on your best behavior"
Gauri quickly sighs and gives the paper to Raghav, who thank her before going back. Sammy coming near her says " I don't know how he was able to win"
" you were suppose to handle this"
" I was ...I was locked in the bathroom"
Sighing for the second time today, she turn " let's just go, my son is already giving me a headache"
" wait mam" raghav says
shaking with anger she turn to raghav. he smirk at her " ever since I got married... Mother never gave me a gift, but today she has really made me the happiest son in the world."
Gauri raised a brow and look at Sammy who shrug.
" in my hand is the contract agreement, and in the next page is the contract to the company. Mother has decided to make me the new owner."
Gauri eyes widen, sammy was bewildered while the cameras continue to click. "I'm so happy for mother, she has been working so hard, and I'm glad she's giving it a rest now" He turn to Gauri
few hours later. ...
Raghav was walking down the empty hall while Gauri calls his name. She demand to know why he pulled the little stunt. Raghav stops " your a smart women mother, I had to be just as cunning as you."
" be careful with your words raghav , I'm still your mother"
" your right which is a shame. You did a wonderful job screwing my life " he chuckles " matter fact I remember everything before my accident."
Gauri tense " so this is your revenge"
" no mother this is no where near, I want you to taste the sweet smell of revenge"
" your not the son I raised"
" on the contrary I am, like the saying goes the apple doesn't fall far from the tree"
Gauri seething with anger watch him leave. Sammy says " I told you raghav is unpredictable, he may actually bring us down"
While watching raghav retreating back she says " we will let him think he has won, but once we find an opening he will fall."
They both smirk.
Meanwhile, while raghav was walking heading downstairs he wonder if kalpi went home. He stop when he saw her at the bottom of the stairs. The sunlight shining its ray in the building giving the whole area a sunset glow. Raghav stops and bends down to watch her. " your a very stubborn girl you know that" he says amused
He watch as she move her lips just a little. He wonder what she was dreaming about. " I told you not to cause trouble, but you did" he stood up and sat beside her on the step. Than he held her hand.
Raghav recalled what happened, he remember going back in the room. He didn't see his mother, he really wonder why he wasn't winning. He turn to the video screen to see people walking in. He stop when he saw Kali locking Sammy and heading out to speak with the security guard.
" what is she up too now" he wonder
He cursed when realized he can't hear what their saying where they are. Few minute later, he saw people coming in and the number rapidly changing. Raghav wonder what kalpi said to them. Back on the stairs, he sat their enjoying the quietness before seeing his ride pulling up.
He got up and lift kalpi than he thank her before kissing her forehead. While walking he didn't notice Kali smiling. Raghav stops when he saw the rain. The driver quickly opens the car for him, and he quietly goes in with Kalpi.
He sat across kalpi just watching her. He ignored the radio saying something about a storm approaching the next day. Suddenly he heard a screech and a honk. Raghav saw kalpi body falling forward after the car stopped. Before he could comprehend what's happening, kalpi lips were on his.
It wouldn't have been a problem if it wasn't for the fact that she was awake.
The driver put the window down , he was about to apologize when he saw them in a very intimate position. He quickly puts the window back up. Out of embarrassment, Kali decides to move. Raghav seeing this, held her waist and pull her closer this time kissing her for real.
" raghav" she says
He sush her once more with another kiss. When he pulls away he let her go " think of this as a reward, for helping me"
