Chapter 26

Two weeks later

It was 7 AM. When Raghav woke up, he saw Kalpana was waiting for him with coffee in her hands. "Good morning!" Kalpana said with a smile. "Good morning!" Ragahv replied sitting on a couch. Handing over a cup, she said, "Go and freshen up in the mean time I will get your breakfast ready.

Rag: at least stay here until I finish my coffee.

Kal: If I stay here then I will start talking and you will get late for the work.

Looking at Kalpana, Ragahv said in his mind, why are you rushing to send me to work? Kalpana said in her mind, If I tell you to stay will you stay? Then Ragahv said in his mind, just try and see what I do.

Kal: Raghav ji did you say something?

Rag: no. did you say something?

Kal: no

"Finish your coffee," saying so she left from there.

While Ragahv was getting ready for the office Kalpana was busy talking to Gauri. In the middle of the conversation, Gauri said, "Kalpana I would like to talk to Raghav. Can you put the phone on speaker?" "Ragahv ji, mom wants to talk to you," saying so Kalpana put the phone on speaker.

Rag: yes mom, tell me.

Gauri: Raghav, I want you and Kalpana come here in Delhi for a week.

Rag: Not now mom. I am very busy.

Gauri: If you are busy then drop Kalpana off. When you will be free from your work, come and pick her up.

Raghav: No way.

When he realized what he just said, he tried to change the topic saying, "I meant to say, someone needs to be here to take care of me." Then he looked at Kalpana who was already looking at him and smiling.

Gauri: Ok, then call Ramu ji.

Rag: mom, let him stay with his family. Don't bother him.

Gauri: Look Ragahv, Kalpana should visit where her in-laws live.

Rag: Mom I understand. I promise when I will be free I will bring her. But not now.

Then he handed the phone over to Kalpana. She off the speaker and said, "Sorry mom. He really needs someone to take care of him. You won't believe, for every single thing I need to remind him." Gauri smiled and said, "After marriage all the men forget things on purposely so that they can get their wives 24/7 beside them." Hearing her Kalpana blushed and looked at Ragahv who was busy tying his tie. "Ok, beta, I will talk to you later." saying so Gauri cut the call. Kalpana took the coat and helped Ragahv to wear it. Before he left for the office Ragahv said, "Kalpana, get ready in the evening. We will go out for the dinner." Kalpana said teasingly, "But you just told mom that you are busy and now you are planning for dinner tonight. Won't you be busy?" he didn't have anything to answer that's why thought to leave from there leaving Kalpana alone with a smile on her face.

In the evening Kalpana was getting ready in the meantime Ragahv came back home. Seeing him, Kalpana said, "sorry, I am little late. Please give me 5 minutes."

Rag: don't worry. Take your time.

While Kalpana was getting ready she noticed him taking pain killer through the mirror. Kalpana got off from the tool and walked toward Ragahv.

Kal: Raghav ji are you ok?

Rag: hm. Just a headache. But don't worry we can go out.

Kal: cancel the dinner today. lets take some rest.

Rag: Are you sure?

Kal: hm

Raghav laid down on the bed and closed his eyes to take some rest. Few seconds later feeling someone's soft touch on his forehead he opened his eyes. Seeing Kalpana sitting beside him on the bed he smiled.

Kal: you sleep. Let me message your forehead.

Rag: Thank you

While messaging Kalpana asked, "you skipped the meal right?"

Rag: Sorry. I was very busy. You also didn't remind me.

Hearing him Kalpana said in her mind, mom was right. After marriage husbands always look for a chance to talk to wives or to be with them. "I will be back," saying so Kalpana went to the kitchen. Five minutes later she came back with a tray with food in it.

Kal: Rag ji, get up. You have to eat first.

Rag: Kalpana I don't feel like eating.

Kal: just a little bit then you can go to sleep. Come let me feed you today.

After taking few spoonful rice Raghav laid down. Raghav felt so relaxed when Kalpana caressed his hair and few minutes later he fell asleep. In the midnight for some reason his sleep got distracted. When he opened his eyes, his eyes fell on Kalpana who was sleeping leaning back on the dashboard and her one hand was on his forehead. "Oh no, she must be fallen asleep messaging my head. I didn't even ask if she ate or not." He was feeling very guilty. He made her lay on the bed. Covering her with the blanket he went to the couch to sleep.

One afternoon Ragahv came back home early as he needed to go out of the city. He asked Kalpana if she was interested to go with him but Kalpana denied saying she will stay home as she needed to do some work at home. When Ragahv left the house Kalpana took out a sweater from the Wardrobe she had completed knitting half for Raghav and walked to the couch. Looking at it she mumbled to herself, "I hope Raghav ji will like it." Then she started knitting it. Half an hour later she felt weak. She thought to take some rest. She laid down on the couch. Few minutes later she fell asleep. On the other hand Raghav called Kalpana but she didn't pick up the phone. After attempting 3 times he was so tensed and thought to go back home. In the meantime Raghav's phone buzzed with the name of Kalpana. Seeing her call he got relief.

Rag: Kalpana I called you several times.

Kal: sorry, actually I was not feeling well. When I came to take rest I didn't realize when I fell asleep

"Kalpana you lay down. I am coming back," saying so he took a u-turn to go back home. "Is he really coming back?" Kalpana mumbled to herself and added, "But why?"

20 minutes later Ragahv came back home. Seeing Kalpana laying down in the couch he walked toward her and said, "Kalpana lets go. We need to go to the hospital."

Kal: Hospital? But why?

Rag: I need to take you to see the doctor.

Kal: Raghv ji I am absolutely fine. You go back to your work

Rag: I am not worried about my work. I am more worried about your health.

Then he forcefully took Kalpana to the hospital. After doing all the possible checkup and x-ray on Kalpana, Dr. Shethi sent Ragahv and Kalpana back home and told Ragahv to pick up the report one week later.

The next two days Ragahv stayed home and took care of Kalpana. These days he ordered food from outside. Sometimes Kalpana was bored as Raghav was not letting her do any work rather than taking rest. One afternoon Ragahv was working on his laptop while Kalpana thought to read a thriller book. In the middle of the work Raghav thought to check on Kalpana. He came to the bedroom. He noticed her reading a book sitting on the bed. He walked toward her and snatched the book away and said, "Kalpana you should take rest rather than reading book."

Kal: I don't feel like taking rest. Please let me read na. I found this book very interesting.

Rag: No, do something else if you are bored.

After thinking something he said, "Lets go out for a walk." "Not a bad idea," saying so Kalpana and Raghav came out side.

After driving 15 minutes, both reached a park. While walking in the park they heard a 8/9 years old boy saying from behind them, "Didi." Both looked back to see the boy. "Did you remember me?" the boy said with a bright smile on his face and added, "We used to play basketball together?" caressing his hair Kalpana replied, "of course, why not?"

Boy: we missed you a lot. Can you play with us again?

Kalpana looked at Raghav and asked, "Ragahv ji, can I?" Ragahv smiled and nodded his head. "Thank you," saying so Kalpana joined the kids.

Boy: Uncle, you also join na.

Kal: Ragahv ji, look at the kids. Please don't hurt them saying no

"Ok, lets play," Hearing Ragahv all the kids screamed including Kalpana, "Yayyy." Then Raghav and Kalpana joined the kids. Raghav supported Boys and Kalpana girls. They were enjoying playing with the kids. After playing one long hour, Ragahv treated all the kids for ice-cream from a nearest ice-cream parlor. Before it was getting dark kids left the park but Ragahv and Kalpana wanted to stay more. While walking hand in hand, Kalpana thanked Ragahv. When he asked for the reason she said, "For playing with the kids and treating them for ice-cream." Raghav smiled and said, "To be honest, I was never attached to any kids. Actually I never got a chance to be with any kids. But when I met you, seeing you showering so much love toward kids, slowly I also started liking them." RAgna were enjoying the beautiful evening sitting under a tree on grass. Seeing Kalpana resting her head on his shoulder, he asked, "Do you want to go home?"

Kal: not now. I want to stay here for a while.

"Ok then, you lay down here," saying so Raghav made her lay on the grass and rested her head on his lap. Feeling his fingers into her hair, she felt so good and few minutes later she didn't realize when she fell asleep. After staying half an hour, Raghav lifted her in his arms and walked to the car and drove off to home.

At office

While sipping coffee in Raghav's cabin, Sammy asked, "Ok, Ragahv, tell me why you wanted to meet me urgently?"

Rag: Sammy, I know you are planning to settle down in India because of your kids.

Sammy: yes I want to raise my kids in India.

Rag: I would like to offer you something and you can't refuse it.

Sammy: first tell me what it is.

Rag: I want you work with me in this company. You will be here as a second owner. You will get 25% of the profits without investing a single penny.

Sammy: this is a golden offer and who would refuse to take it.

Rag: Thank you Sammy. I got so much relief now.

Samy: may I know why are you doing this?

Rag: Sammy till now, I worked a lot. I already gave my whole life in this company. I never even thought of giving my body some rest. Now I have my family. My family should get more priority than my work.

Sammy: Raghav, I am glad that you are thinking about Kalpana like this.

Then Ragahv called Mr. Anil, his office staff in his cabin and told him to call all the office staffs in the conference room right now.

5 minutes later everyone gathered in the conference room. Raghav thanked everyone to join the meeting. He continued, "Today I am going to introduce you with my best friend and 2^nd owner of this company Samar Raizada. He will be working with us from now on. He has more than 15 years of experience in this field. Hope you all will work with him with same respect as you showed me.

Mr. Mehta: Sure sir

Rag: Sammy will be handling all the new projects along with old one. Mr. Mehta, Mr. Ravi and other staffs will work with him. Mr. Anil will help me in the project currently I am working on. Any one has any question?

Mr Anil: no sir.

Mr. Mehta: no sir

Rag: Mr. Ravi, please prepare all the documents for Sammy.

Then everyone congratulated Sammy one by one. When everyone left, Sammy thanked Ragahv saying, "Raghav you trusted me for this position and I will not let you down." Placing an assuring hand on Sammy's shoulder, Ragahv said, "I know Sammy." When Mehta took Sammy with him, Ragahv came back to his cabin. Fixing himself on his chair, he leaned back and closed his eyes as he got some relief. Few seconds later, he dialed Kalpana's number.

Kal: hello!

Rag: what are you doing?

Kal: some kids came from the orphanage to meet me

Rag: so you are having a good time right?

Kal: haa

Rag: ok then have fun. I will not bother you

Kal: did you do your lunch?

Rag: not yet. I ordered food. Did you?

Kal: I will do it now with the kids

Rag: Ok

Kal: Bye then

Rag: Bye. See you in the evening

Before Ragahv came home, he told Kalpana to get ready for the dinner outside. He also invited Sammy and Maya to join them. In the evening, Kalpana was all ready and was waiting for Ragahv. Once Ragahv reached home, he said, "Kalpana, I have something for you." Then he made her stand in front of the mirror. Opening a jewelry box, he took out a diamond necklace and earnings. Then he made her wear it. Looking at the necklace through the mirror, she said amused, "this is so beautiful." Ragahv smiled and said, "I am glad you liked it. Ab chaley? Sammy and Maya are waiting for us."

Kal: hm

In the Restaurant

Seeing Ragna are coming toward them, Sammy said, "Ragahv and Kalpana, what made you so late as I am starving yaar." "Sorry, actually I went to a jewelry store before I went to pick up Kalpana," saying so Ragahv pulled a chair for Kalpana and he sat beside her.

Kal: hello Sammy ji, hello Maya ji.

Maya: hello Kalpana.

Sammy: hello

Rag: lets order food.

Ragahv called a waiter and ordered food. While they were waiting for the waiter, Sammy said, "Maya and Kalpana, the reason we are here, I would like to share good news with you." After a little pause, he continued, "Today I joined at Raghav's company with 25% share of ownership. From now on I will be helping Ragahv."

Maya: Really Sammy? How come you kept it secret from me?

Sammy: I wanted to give you a surprise honey.

Kal: Congratulations Sammy ji. This is really good news.

Sammy: Thank you. Do you know the reason behind this?

Kalpana looked at Sammy confused. "You," he completed and added, "Ragahv wanted to give you a stress less and peaceful life." Kalpana smiled and looked at Raghav and Ragahv looked at her. They had an eye lock. They broke the eye lock, hearing Sammy, "Wow! Love is in the air."

Maya: Thank you Ragahv and Kalpana.

Rag: maya, you don't have to thank me. I am really grateful to Sammy accepting this offer. He is taking a lot of my responsibilities.

Maya: Sammy, make sure you do well.

Sammy: I will honey. Don't worry.

In the meantime food came. Both husbands served foods for their wives. Looking around, Kalpana said, "Kids are not seen anywhere?" "They are with their grandma," Maya replied and added, "By the way when you guys are planning for yours?" Hearing Maya, Raghav chocked his food causing him to start coughing. Offering a glass of water, Sammy said, "drink it." then Sammy looked at Kalpana who was blushing lowering her head. Sammy said teasingly, "Maya, why are you talking about baby now. They just got married and they are still in honeymoon mood." Raghav stamped his foot on Sammy's causing him to scream in pain, "Aaah."

Maya: What happened?

Sammy: nothing honey. You just concentrate on your food.

After the dinner while having dessert, Sammy noticed Kalpana wearing a necklace. Looking at it, Sammy asked, "Kalpana, your necklace is so beautiful." Kalpana smiled and said, "Thank you. Ragahv ji gave it to me." "Nice," saying so he looked at Ragahv who was already looking at him and was praying to God so that Sammy doesn't put them in any embarrassing situation. Sammy smiled inwardly and looked at Kalpana. "So Kalpana, what are you planning for tonight for Raghav as a return gift as he gifted you a beautiful necklace. Hope the return gift will be so hot and spicy." hearing him, Kalpana's cheeks turned into red as she understood what he meant. On the other hand Ragahv kept cursing Sammy inwardly. He took out his phone and messaged him,

Rag: I will see you tomorrow in the office

Then Sammy messaged him back,

Sammy: No problem. I am ready.

After the dinner, Ragahv didn't want to stay for a moment and left the Restaurant taking Kalpana with him. Once they reached home, Ragahv couldn't show his face to Kalpana. He felt so embarrassed. Without any further conversation, Ragahv went to the couch to sleep. After changing her clothes, Kalpana went to the bed. Recalling Sammy's words regarding a return gift, she blushed. She looked at Ragahv who was sleeping on the couch facing his back. Seeing him sleeping on the couch, she felt bad. Raghav ji, Aap bohot achchey ho. You never forced me for anything rather you gave me so much space I needed. You kept sacrificing but what I did in return? Kalpana said in her mind sadly. Thinking about him, Kalpana didn't realize when she fell asleep.

The next day Purvi called Kalpana and reminded her that their admission test is next week and wished her luck to do her best in the test. Then Purvi cut the call leaving Kalpana in a deep thought. I understand, I was so excited about my marriage that's why I may forget, Kalpana thought, how about Ragahv ji. So far I know him, as much as he is busy, he can't forget it. Kalpana was so confused as Raghav was the one who would encourage her about her career a lot. After the surgery he didn't even mention about her college, her study not even for a moment. While thinking about it unknowingly she walked to the office room. All of a sudden her eyes fell on the bookshelf where she would put her story books in there. Seeing the place was empty she remembered the incident when Ragahv snatched the book away while she was reading saying she could do anything but not read the book. Why he want's me to stay away from reading books?" Kalpana mumbled to herself. To clear her doubt, she thought to ask Ragahv.

In the evening, when Ragahv came home, Kalpana asked directly, "Ragahv ji, are you hiding something from me?" Ragahv was loosening his tie facing his back.

Rag: why are you asking this?

Kal: Is there any complication about my health? I meant to say, am I absolutely fine to continue my education?

Hearing her, his hands paused. She continued, "you already know my admission test is next week right?" He was all prepared as he knew that one day he has to face it. he looked back to face Kalpana. "Yes, I knew it," hearing him she looked at him. "Kalpana, you always wanted to be a perfect wife but not a business woman like your mom. I thought a lot about it," Ragahv said. After a little pause, "that you are right," he completed. Then he looked at her. Seeing her looking at him confused, he understood that she was not convinced. Taking her hand in him he walked to the bed and made her sit on it. he sat beside her. Looking at her eyes, he said lovingly, "Kalpana, one day we all have to leave from this beautiful world leaving everything behind. Rather being a part of this competitive world, why can't we choose a stress less and peaceful life?" taking her hand in him, he continued, "Kalpana, I want a simple and peaceful life with you. After the project I am currently working on, I am planning to go for a retirement. Then all my time will be yours and yours will be mine. We will go for world tour and will enjoy our time." Kalpana's eyes got filled with joyful tears. "Are you sure you mean it?" hearing her he nodded his head. Kalpana hugged him. "I am sorry. I thought you are hiding something from me." He hugged her back tightly as he felt bad for Kalpana. Caressing her hair Raghav said in his mind, I am sorry Kalpana. If you get to know about the truth, your life will end at that moment and I won't be able to bear losing you.

The next day

Raghav called Dr. Shethi to check if Kalpana's report had come. When he got to know the report was ready he went to the hospital to pick it up. In the afternoon, after picking up the report Raghav directly came home. Loosening his tie, he entered into the bedroom. Seeing kalpana sleeping on the couch he didn't want to bother her and walked to the Almirah without making any sound. He opened the door of the Almirah. Before he put the file with Kalpana's report in it, he opened it. He was so lost in it that he didn't realize when Kalpana woke up. Seeing him come home early, Kalpana asked while sitting on the couch, "Raghav ji, you came home early today?" Raghav didn't response. His trance broke hearing her, "Raghav ji, do you have to go out of the city?" Raghav was standing facing his back infront of the almirah. He wiped his tears immediately and rushed to the washroom leaving Kalpana confused. What happened with him, Kalpana thought, why didn't he respond to me? Somehow she felt him crying. What was in the file that Raghav ji was reading? She thought. Once she got off from the couch, her eyes fell on a paper laying on the ground. Before he went to the washroom, he put the file in the Almirah. While doing this, one of the papers fell on the ground. Kalpana picked it up and placed it on the center table thinking this was related to his office. She was about to leave the room, but stopped thinking she noticed something. She looked back to the paper laying on the table. She took it in her hand. She saw her name was written along with the hospitals name. "So Raghav ji was reading my medical report," Kalpana mumbled to herself. Remembering him wiping his tears she thought, what was in the report that made him cry? She thought to check it. She opened the Almirah and saw the file was laying in there. She took it in her hand and opened it. Within a second her whole world changed. She was having problem to stand as her knee was shaking. She held the door for support. In the meantime, Raghav's phone buzzed with Dr. Shetthi's name. Thinking Raghav was on the other side of the phone, Dr. Shethi said, "Mr. Singhania, I have prescribed a stronger medicine for your wife. Please come and pick it up," saying so he cut the call. Placing the phone on the center table Kalpana came out of the house.

Kalpana was sitting on a bench near the river side quietly for a long time. Each and every words of her medical report were visible in front of her eyes. She could see her dream shatter along with this. How beautiful our life was, Kalpana thought. After a little pause, everything shattered within a second. She also realized why Raghav kept her away from continuing her education. Raghav knew that she was an average student and to get good marks she needed to work hard and he didn't want to give her brain so much pressure. "Ragahv ji, you were bearing all this alone and didn't even give me a single hint," Kalpana mumbled to herself. Your happiness lies in me, Kalpana thought, seeing me suffering you will suffer and how I will be able to see you in that state? I won't be able to give you happiness you deserve. That night both Raghav and Kalpana didn't have any conversation. They couldn't face each other as they didn't want each other to know about their secrets.

The next morning

Before Kalpana woke up, Raghav left for the office. After freshening up, she was about to go to the kitchen passing dining table, her eyes fell on something. She looked at the table. There was bread, jelly, egg, fruits, orange juice that Raghav kept for her breakfast. All of a sudden she heard the ring of the doorbell. She walked to the door and opened it. It was Nitu. Both hugged each other.

Nitu: Kalpana, you just woke up?

Kal: hm. Come let's do breakfast together.

While doing breakfast, Nitu said, "Kalpana, I really miss you a lot. I feel so lonely in that big house. Visit sometimes na." "Mom, I understand how you feel," Kalpana said coldly.

Two hours later

In his cabin, Raghav was sitting on his chair leaning back with his closed eyes. He had headache as he couldn't sleep last night. He got distracted when his phone buzzed. It was Kalpana. He picked up the call

Rag: hello

Kal: Raghav ji, I have come to my parents house with my mom.

Rag: ok. I will come to pick you up in the evening

Kal: hm

Then Kalpana cut the call.

In the afternoon, Ragahav was discussing about a project with Sammy, in the meantime his phone buzzed with a text massage. Ragahv looked at the phone and saw it was from Kalpana. He read the message,

Kal: Raghav ji, I would like to stay here with mom for few days. Hope you won't mind.

Though Ragahv didn't like her to stay away from him but he had to agree thinking about Kalpana's happiness. He messaged her back,

Rag: ok. You take care and let me know when I will come to pick you up.

Sammy: who is that?

Rag: Kalpana. She wants to stay with her mom for few days.

Sammy: Biwi always look for chance to visit their parents' house and don't want to come back so soon.

Hope Kalpana comes back soon, Ragahv said in his mind.

At night

Sleep was far away from two sets of eyes. They kept tossing on their beds. This was the first night Raghav and Kalpana spent without each other after marriage. Ragahv got off from the bed and walked to the balcony. He looked up. There was a full moon in the sky. "I wish you would be here and we could see the moon together," Ragahv said looking at the moon. On the other hand, looking at the moon through the window, Kalpana whispered, "some people are not that lucky to fulfill their wishes."

Next day morning

When Ragahv woke up he saw Kalpana was not there with tea in her hands. "Kalpana, where is my tea?" Ragahv called her loudly. After calling several times when he didn't hear anything, he realized that Kalpana was not at home. He got off from the couch and went to the washroom. After freshening up, he came out of the washroom. Seeing the empty bed, he started calling Kalpana again, "Kalpana, where is my clothes for the offi...?" he stopped as he realized that Kalpana was not at home. Then he took out his clothes from the Almirah. After getting ready he left for the office without having breakfast.

In the afternoon he thought to talk to Kalpana. He dialed her number.

Kal: Hello

Rag: Kalpana, what are you doing?

Kal: I came to the shopping mall with mom.

Rag: do you want me to come?

Kal: No, you don't have to

Rag: I am not that busy. I can come

Kal: Actually, we are almost done shopping. We are going to the airport to pick up Uncle.

Rag: Uncle?

Kal: Hm. My mom's brother. He lives in Canada. When my mom conceived me she stayed with her family in Canada. After delivery she came back to India leaving me there with her family. My grandma, uncle and aunty took care of me for five years then I came back to India.

Kalpana was born in Canada, Ragahv thought, how come I don't know about it? There must be lot of things about her that I still don't know.

Rag: I see. Ok, you carry on

The next day

In the office

It's been 5 hours Ragahv was trying to read a file but couldn't concentrate. He kept on looking at his phone. He was expecting call from Kalpana. Every call came was from his office or from client. But there was no sign of Kalpana. He didn't want to bother her by calling her thinking Kalpana might be busy with her uncle and cousins. Each passing minute was like a day for him.

On the other hand, Kalpana's condition was not as great as Ragahv. As much as she tried to be busy but she could not remove Ragahav from her mind. When everyone was having dinner, Kalpana was just moving her spoon back and forth on her plate. Hearing a known male voice, "Kalpana why don't you eat?" she looked at the chair beside her. She smiled and opened her mouth when the same male voice said, "Come, let me feed you." Kalpana came to her sense when Nitu said, "Kalpana, what happened?" Kalpana turned to look at Nitu. "Why are you looking at the empty chair?" hearing Nitu, Kalpana looked back at the empty chair. She saw no one was there.

Nitu: Kalpana, what happened?

Kal: Mom, I don't feel like eating.

Nitu: ok, then eat some fruits.

Kal: ji

Kalpana took an apple from a basket. When she was slicing it with a knife she again got lost into him. "Kalpana, where are you lost? Your finger got cut," saying so Raghav put her finger into his mouth and sucked her blood. Hearing Nitu, "Kalpana, look at your finger," Kalpana came to her sense again. She looked at her finger and saw that it was bleeding.

Nitu: come, let me bandage your finger.

Kal: I will be fine mom.

Then Kalpana ran to the terrace to hide her tears from everyone. She dropped herself on the ground. How she will be able to live without her Ragahv's care, his pampers, his love. Everything seems lifeless without him, she thought while sobbing.

Half an hour later, Ragahv called her. Nitu picked up the phone.

Nitu: Hello

Rag: Aunt where is Kalpana?

Nitu: she is on the terrace. She left her phone in her room.

Rag: oh

Nitu: Raghav, do you mind, if Kalpana stay here for few more days?

Rag: No

Nitu: I know no one is there to take care of you at home. Why cant you come here directly from office and stay here with Kalpana.

Raghav would agree if he would hear it from Kalpana. "Its ok. Don't worry about me. Please take care of Kalpana and remind her to take her medicine on time," hearing him, Nitu said, "I will beta." Then he cut the call.

The next day

Ragahv and Sammy were discussing about a project. While doing that Sammy noticed that sometimes Ragahv was getting lost.

Sammy: Ragahv, let's go out for coffee.

Rag: We can have coffee here

Sammy: No, I would like to have coffee outside.

Rag: Ok, lets go

While sipping coffee, Sammy noticed Ragahv's mood was still the same.

Sammy: Raghav, I brought you here so that your mood can change.

Raghav didn't say anything.

Sammy: only two days passed and you started missing Kalpana.

Rag: Look Sammy, I gave you all the responsibilities so that I could spend time with her and what she did. She didn't have time for me to make even a single phone call. I am dying to talk to her yaar.

Sammy: Ragahv say the same lines to her. I am sure she will run to you.

Rag: I cant do that

Sammy: why not

Rag: she is attending guest at home.

Sammy: tu bhi uski guest ban ja.

In the mean time Ragahv's phone buzzed. "pick up the phone. Probably Kalpana," hearing Sammy, without seeing the name of the person, Ragahv picked up the phone with a smile on his face. His smile got vanished when Mr. Anil said from the other side of the phone, "Sir we have a meeting in 5 minutes."

Rag: hm. We are coming

Raghav came back home in the evening. After freshening up he tried to eat Chinese food he ordered from outside but he didn't feel like to eat. He looked at the phone laying on the table. Taking it in his hand, he messaged Kalpana,

Rag: Hey, missing you a lot. Can I come and pick you up?

Before he pressed the send button to deliver the message, he thought something and then deleted the lines. Then he came to the balcony. After spending one hour he came back to the bedroom. He laid down on the couch. Looking at the empty bed, he said, "Kalpana we all are missing you a lot." Then he looked at the car key laying on the center table. Without wasting a second, he got off from the couch. Taking the car key in his hand, he got out of the house.

In 20 minutes he reached Kapoors house. Seeing Ragahv, Nitu said with a smile, "I am glad you took my word." He smiled. Ragahv's eyes were only searching for Kalpana. When he didn't see her around, he asked, "Aunt, where is Kalpana?"

Nitu: She was here earlier. I think she is in her room now.

Rag: let me go and see her

Once Ragahv entered into Kalpana's room, his eyes fell on Kalpana who was sleeping peacefully on her bed. Finally he saw his Kalpana after 3 long days. He felt so relief. He wished he could tell her how much he missed her. He walked to the bed. He sat beside her on the bed. He looked at her. He noticed some strand covering her forehead. He raised his hand and tucked her locks behind the ear. In her sleep she was looking so innocent. He leaned toward her as he couldn't stop himself and placed a soft kiss on her forehead. Covering her with the blanket, he came out of the room. As he came out, Kalpana opened her eyes slowly. A fresh tear rolled from her eyes. Hearing the sound of the car, Kalpana got off from the bed and walked to the window. Seeing him leaving through the window, Kalpana mumbled, "I am sorry Raghav ji. I love you that's why I want to stay away from you." We have no control over our mind to fall for someone but we have control to stay away from the person we love, she thought. She came back to her bed. Looking at Raghav's photo she brought it with her from Ragahv's house when she left the house, she said, "The time I spent with you were the most memorable days of my life and they will always be with me. I will always keep loving you even though we won't be together. I am sorry again to end this beautiful journey I had with you."

The next day

When Ragahv was getting ready for the office, he got a phone call from Ramu.

Rag: Kaka, how is everything?

Ramu: Everything is fine Ragahv baba.

Rag: Good

Ramu: Kalpana called me and told me to come back to Mumbai as soon as possible. Before I left the village I thought to call you.

Rag: Kaka, you stay there and don't worry about me. Kalpana will be back in one or two days.

Ramu: Ok, no problem. Call me when you want me to come.

Then he cut the call. Looking at Kalpana's picture, Ragahv said, "Kalpana you called Ramu kaka so that you can stay with your mom for few more days right. But I am sorry to say that I can't fulfill your wish this time. I am coming to pick you up tonight."

At office

Raghav dialed Mr. Anil's number, the person who was helping Raghav in the only project Ragahv was handling.

Mr. Anil: hello sir

Rag: Mr. Anil, where are you now?

Anil: Sir, I am at the spot now.

Rag: Is there any good news?

Anil: Yes sir. I just hanged the signboard in front of the gate.

Rag: Good.

Raghav was so excited. This was the time for Kalpana to see that her dream was coming true. In the meantime his phone buzzed with Sheena'a number but totally ignoring her call, Ragahv went to make some important calls regarding the project. As soon as he finished his work, he wanted to pick up Kalpana.

Three hours later Ragahv was about to get out of his cabin but stopped seeing Sheena there.

Rag: sheena you here?

Sheena: Since two hours I been calling you but you didn't pick up the phone.

Rag: vo actually I was very busy. Is everything alright?

Sheena: Ragahv you sit. I need to talk to you.

He looked at the wrist watch. It was 6 PM. "Sheena, If it is not that important can we talk some other time," Raghav said and added, "I need to do something important." Hearing Sheena, "It is regarding Kalpana. Hope there is nothing important for you than Kalpana,"Ragahv was confused and said, "Kalpana?"

Sheena: Hm.

Raghav sat on his chair.

Sheena: Raghav, is everything alright in between you and Kalpana?

Rag: why are you asking this?

Sheena: Kalpana came to meet me today.

Flashback start

Sheena: so Kalpana, what was so urgent that you wanted to meet me?

Kal: Sheena ji, I could clearly see the same love in your eyes you had for Ragahv ji before. If I wouldn't come in between you, you and Ragahv ji would be together by this time."

Sheena: Kalpana, it is not like you are thinking. I was his past and you are his present and future. You both are made for each other.

Kal: I was also thinking the same but I was wrong. Actually you and Ragahv ji are made for each other.

Sheena: I really don't understand, all of a sudden what happened that you are saying this. Kalpana is everything alright? Did Raghav hurt you with anything?

Kalpana: he is such a nice guy. He can not even think of hurting anyone.

Sheena: then what happened?

After taking a deep breathe Kalpana said, "I am leaving India for forever. Not only the country, I am also leaving Ragahv ji." Hearing her Sheena was shocked. "Let me call Ragahv and tell him to come here," saying so Sheena was about to dial Ragahv's number but Kalpana stopped her saying, "Please don't."

Sheena: I am sure Raghav doesn't know anything about it.

Kalpana shook her head in no. "This is all my own decision," Kalpana said. Taking Sheena's hand in her Kalpana said, "Sheena ji, after I leave, please take care of Ragahv ji. I am sure; your true love toward him will erase all my memories from his mind." (Flashback end)

Present

Ragahv was just listening to Sheena without uttering a word. He didn't know how to react. His heart refused to believe what he just heard. He kept mumbling to himself, "I can't believe that Kalpana said that." Getting off from the chair, he said, "Sheena, I am... am sure she must be joking." Taking the car key in his hand, Ragahv was about to leave the cabin but stopped hearing Sheena, "She is not Raghav." Ragahv turned back to face her. Handing over a divorce paper, she said, "Kalpana is determined with her decision." Raghav's hand was shaking. Somehow he managed himself and took the divorce paper in his hand. After Sheena left from there, he looked at the paper. Caressing his fingers on Kalpana's signature, he mumbled to himself, "I still can't believe that you signed here." A tear escaped from his eyes on the paper. After a while, taking the divorce paper in his hand, Ragahv left the office.

On the way in the car, Raghav was so restless. He couldn't calm his mind down until he sees Kalpana and talks to her. He dialed her number but her phone was switched off. In the mean time he reached Kalpana's house. He got off from the car and was about to get into the house but stopped hearing the guard, "Sir, no one is at home."

Rag: Where are they?

Guard: Nitu mam went to office and Kalpana mam went to the airport.

Rag: Airport?

In the meantime driver came back. Seeing Raghav, he got off from the car and said, "Namastey sir. I just droped off Kalpana mam to the airport." Without wasting a second, Raghav drove off to the airport. Breaking all the rules he reached the airport in 20 minutes.

In the airport

Kalpana was waiting in the waiting room with her luggage. Hearing the announcement, "All the passengers of Canada, please come to Gate num. 123 as we are going to onboard you now," taking her luggage in her hand Kalpana got off from the chair. Once she turned to go to the gate, she saw Raghav. They were standing face to face.

WOW right now my condition is so horrible can't have a word for u 😭i am crying so badely after reading this wonderful amazing update .update was so emotional where RAGNA is in pain .both r thinking for each other best .THEIR LOVE FOR EACH OTHER IS LIKE NO ONE UNDERSTAND .how could u write like this so beautifuly .i am sure u also in pain while writting .so painful but so amamezd by ur writting .hope to see RAGNA 2ther .please don't seperate them . title of story reminds me the seperation for RAGNA .hope this won't happend .RAGNA won't loss each other and won't stay alone .Thanks for pM .can't wait for next till wend.

Nice update fara.poor rags first Sheena now kalpna hurt his feelings His true love 😭 idont think kalpna koyi sacrifice kiya 😡 I know the truth will affect her badly broke her dream but divource is not a solution and she went to Sheena and ask her to help rags erase her memory really that's what kalpi think ki rags easily forgot her with sheena 😡 chiii I really don't like that attitude of kalpi 😡 .I don't think ki rags easily kalpi ko maaf bhi karega.kalpana nai situation ko bigad diya hai.ab rags ki reaction kya hoga desicion kya hoga ?really confusing plot but interesting too brilliant fara.and please update soon.
