Part 3 :
5 yrs passes by. Kalpana has been turned into a beautiful and rebellious young lady. Her attachment with Sanskar and Sanskriti has grown more stronger .She has centered her world around them but her hatred for Raghav is intact.
She is eagerly waiting for the day she will finally meet her baba. Her room is proof of her hatred for Raghav and her love for her baba. The calendar in room is marked with release date of her baba. She had tricked Bhavo to disclose the information and she had already made two unsuccessful attempts to run away. Last attempt was scary one and she is grateful to chotte kunwarji that he rescued her on time but she will not accept it to anyone, not even to herself. But the frequency of darts she used to throw on chotte Kunwarji's photo had lessened.
Sanskar enters into her room - "Di, you know what happened in my school today". Sanskriti is following him. Kalpana hurriedly Raghav's photo which is torn and damaged by her thrown darts. She may hate chotte kunwarji but she does not want Sanskar and Sanskriti to know this. For them, he is their perfect chachu. Everyone finds him perfect. Her college teachers also praise him for his generous donation. His charity and generousity always make headlines in newspaper. But none knows his reality like she do. He is like a monster from his father's story who kidnapped princess and took him away from her family.
Sanskar, sanskriti and she talks about lot of things and atlast they decide to see a cartoon movie and come downstairs. Kalpana puts the dvd in dvdplayer and starts the home theater system when Raghav walks in. Sanskar and Sanskriti get happy seeing him and asks him to join them. Raghav happily agrees. He was little busy from few weeks and could not get time to spend with the children. Raghav settles himself with Sanskar and Sanskriti. Seeing this, Kalpana gets unhappy. Her plan for a good evening has been destroyed by him. Kalpana tries to walk away from the room when Sanskriti calls her to join them. Kalpana answers that she has to complete her studies , an obvious lie and turns back to leave.
"As far as I know, your final year exams got completed last week and you are not enrolled in other courses" - Raghav asks.
"I have some personal business" - she answers curtly and leaves from there.
Sanskar and Sanskriti get upset and they leave the hall after some time. Raghav loves them a lot and they also love Raghav's company but seeing movie without Kalpanadi is a boring task. Raghav sometimes feel outsider between this trio. Whenever he tries to to be with them, Kalpana walks away. She never misbehaves or shouts. She just makes an excuse and leaves. Raghav has been trying very hard to impress her from last 5 yrs but she spoils her every effort. She accepts his every gift in front of all and discards them the very first opportunity she could find. Whenever Raghav tries to plan an weekend with everyone, She cuts out herself cleverly. Whenever she finds herself alone with Raghav, She just nods to whatever he says. She is curt, sweet. Raghav knows if he would have insisted her to see the movie, she would have seen it but he knows that she would not have enjoyed it. Raghav smiles thinking he is in love with a girl who is not interested in his money, power and fame. Even She is not interested in him. She obeys him as she knows that she can't escape from here after her two unsuccessful attempts and it is better to accept the circumstance when she can't change it. May be then she will be able to see her father again. Raghav knows he will be the luckiest person in the universe if he would be able to get one percent of love which she feels for her father.
Again her plan of perfect evening is spoiled by chotte kunwarji. She angrily throws a dart on his photo and then covers it. She knows Sanskar and Sanskriti are going to join her in few moments. They never enjoy movie wirhout her. Sanskar and Sanskriti comes there. They play some indoor games and as usual Sanskar and sanskrit fall asleep in her room. Kalpana sleeps on the floor as usual. After sometime, Raghav enters into Kalpana's room and finds her asleep on the floor as usual. He lifts her in his arms carefully so she does not wake up and places her on bed near Sanskriti. He kisses her on her forehead. Then he puts blanket on her. He kisses Sanskar and Sanskriti on their forehead and leaves the room. He meets Bhavo outside the room. Bhavo has also come to check them. "You should tell her that you love her. She is not a teenager any more. She should take her responsibilty as your wife and daughter in law of this house" - bhavo tells Raghav. Bhavo knows Vittal wants same for Kalpana.
"What good will that do, Bhavo. I want her to feel my love. I want her to accept me in her life whole heartedly. I want her to love me. But she is quite stubborn. She is adamant to hate me. And talking about wifely duties. She is already fulfilling her role as a wife quite devotedly. She never forgets to keep Karwa chauth fast and then she breaks it without me in front of me. "
Bhavo remembers the day when she asks a 16 yr old Kalpana to keep fast for the first time and she realises that she is unaware of all the rituals. She was brought up by Vittal singlehandedly. She keeps the fast as bhavo once told her that she will be able to meet her father if she listens them. In course of time, she had understood the meaning of marriage and this rituals but she is stubborn enough to accept the fact that she is married to Chotte Kunwarji.
" Raghav she was not aware of the rituals and responsibilities as she was brought up by a father and vittal had always treated her as a princess. But she is now aware of your and her relation. She is just not ready to accept it. You have to try to make her feel your love in spite of her reluctance. You should not let her go. No one should let go their love" - bhavo sighs. Raghav looks at her. He does not know but he always feel a certain kind of softness in Bhavo's voice whenever she talks about vittal yadav and Bhavo really cares about Kalpana like she used to care for his bhaisa and like she cares for him. Raghav does not know what to answes. Bhavo speaks again - "tomorrow juniors from Kalpana's college have arranged a farewell party for them. They called to invite her. Kalpana had denied to go."
"Ask her to go. She should accustom herself to attend this type of social gatherings. Eventually she is going to attend social gatherings with me."- Raghav says.
Kalpana wakes up on the bed again. She can't remember when she sleeps on the bed. She wants to sleep on the floor as her baba must have slept on the floor. Tonight she will make sure that she will sleep on the floor only. Bhabo asks Kalpana to attend the farewell party. Kalpana agrees to attend the party. Kalpana gets ready for the party in Salwar Kamiz. Bhavo looks at her and thinks about Kalpana's hidden anger towards them under her obedience. She knows Raghav wants her to dress according to their life style. So, she is stick to her old dressing style. Her cabinet is full with different type of dresses which she had not used once.
Raghav's business meeting with one of his client is scheduled on the 1st floor of a pub. During the meeting, Raghav gets disturbed by the noise when he is informed that some party is going on in the ground floor. After finishing the meeting, Raghav stands at railing with his client for few minutes and he sees her laughing and dancing with someone.
When Kalpana entered into the pub first time, she did not like the place much. She could not understand what is the enjoyment in dancing madly on loud music when they are not in their senses. She remembers her days from jodhpur when she and Maya used to dance on folk songs, when her baba used to take her in the fair. She was happy. She was princess of her baba. But right now, she is a toy of chotte kunwarji. Her life is regulated by Bhavo and chotte kunwarji. She sees people dancing madly on loud beats and she realises these people are actually not enjoying but are trying to forget everything under the loud beats of music like she wants to escape from her life's reality. She joins the people in dance floor. One of her class mate joins her and they start dancing. Kalpana could not help laughing as some moments ago, she was wondering about dancing madly and now she is dancing on the same floor.
Raghav feels burning rage in his heart. His Kalpana is so close to someone else. He thirsts for her one smile and she is laughing with someone else. In his jealousy, he makes his way to the dance floor and right in front of Kalpana. Kalpana just gets stiff seeing him in front of her. Suddenly some one asks him - "Who are you? You are not from our college". Crowd stop dancing . Every eye on Raghav and he knows it and suddenly he wants to let them know how is related to Kalpana and he speaks to Kalpana - "kalpana will you not inform your friends who i am?". Kalpana is suddenly feel nervous as she can feel all the eyes on her. She stammers - "Raghav Singhania, Prince of jodhpur". Raghav remembers Bhavo's words from last night and he wants Kalpana to accept their relation so everyone can know that she belongs to him only and he speaks- "Kalpana, your friend also wants to know about our relation". Kalpana does not want to answer this question. She is aware what he is hinting. She never accepted it. She will never accept it. He is none to her. Her one of friend asks loudly - "tell us Kalpana. Don't be shy" and everyone starts laughing. Raghav again speaks -"they had already guessed, Kalpana but they want to hear it from you" . Kalpana feels humiliated. "They must be thinking him as my lover" - she thinks. She thinks about various lies to answer but she could not come up with a suitable lie. She knows answering this question means accepting the bitter truth of her life which she does not want to accept. It reminds her the fateful day when he snatched her happy life and she is forced to live this life where she is not free to speak her mind. She sometimes feels like a puppet. But she has to answer this question as all eyes on her. She gathers herself and answers in clenched teeth- "He is my forced husband". All the eyes look at them shocked. Raghav was not expecting it to be turn out like this but he manages this situation - "my beloved husband. Kalpana you didn't have to mention that. They already can see our love" and Raghav holds her hand and pulls her toward him. Kalpana crashes on his chest and Raghav places one hand on her shoulder and another one on her waist and whispers in her ear - "forced. Now enjoy our forced dance." Raghav is very close to her and he leads Kalpana to the dance .Kalpana just moves according to Raghav's steps. She should control her anger. She knows it but for a moment, she wanted to rebel. She wanted to scream the truth but she knows it will just make her far from her Baba. She wants her baba back. She wants her life back.They finish their dance with sound of clapping from every corner.
