Present day
Stepping foot on indian soil after years, ten years to be precise, Kalpi feels a moment of panic, when she feels the hot Indian air caress her skin, whispering under her breath, she tells herself to calm down, angry with herself over the weak moment. Collecting her luggage, Kalpi heads out to look for her sister. She could not understand her sister's decision to move back to India four years ago. It didn't matter, she was here to support her sister in any way she could... Just as their parents.
Pakhi smiles on seeing Kalpi, walks towards her with open arms, saying, "couldn't stay away could you." Kalpi grins, replying, "where you are, I am. I would have come sooner if you allowed it." Shaking her head, Pakhi says, "no. I could not have you disrupt your education."
Ragav Singhania, p.a. to Pakhi stares in surprise. His boss smiled. In the six months he has worked for Kapoor Investment Group, he has never seen her smile. He nicknamed her, ice princess; of course Not to her face for getting fired would beat the purpose of having worked so hard to get hired. He looks to the girl that brought Pakhi to smile and frown, thinking, "what is wrong with her... What's up with all the layers?" "Di, where is mum and dad?" Kalpi asks, as she looks around her sister. Neetu says, "behind you, beta." Kalpi turns to hug her parents.
"Mr Shukla," Pakhi calls Ragav. Ragav frowns, thinking, "why does she not call me Ragav. Mr Shukla." He hated the name, for it was an alias. "Yes ma'am," he says politely. Pakhi introduces Kalpi and ragav, saying, "Kalpi meet Mr Shukla... Mr Shukla, meet my sister, Kalpana Kapoor." She then adds in a stern voice, "she is the reason I hired you. You are to be her shadow. Your background in self defence is why I actually hired you. You are to be her p.a. Cum bodyguard. She is never to be out of your sight." Ragav and Kalpi look at one another, instant disliking one another, both say in unison... "But ma'am..." "Didi..." Pakhi raises her hand, gesturing them to stop, turns towards her mum and says, "dad and I have a meeting to attend. We will run late if we don't leave immediately." Looks at Pakhi and says, "we shall see you later in the day. Dad, shall we."
Sahil nods, kisses the top of kalpis head and says, "welcome home pumpkin." Ragav stares after Pakhi thinking, "W*F just happened. When did I get demoted to babysitter."
Neetu pats Kalpi's arm and says with a smile, "I am glad you are home. Maybe you can bring in some changes. Pakhi's world just revolves around work."
Neetu smiles at Ragav and says, "don't be disappointed. I know this has come as quite a shock." Shaking his head, Ragav says with a smiles, "no no aunty. I am glad to serve your family in anyway I can. You were kind to me when I was new in this town." Thinking, "I am here for a purpose and I shall succeed. No matter the price."
