Long update to compensate for the delay😛
--- Kalpana's POV ---
"Yes, yes I'm almost there.. Paakhi please now let me please just park my car in peace.. Just two minutes I'll be in..", hush, this girl.. Apparently she has some surprise for me (hopefully a good one) and so here I was parking my car outside Raichand mansion..
Walking on the marble pathway I went to the main door.. Before I could ring the bell someone opened the door.. Who else, it was Paakhi. "Come on di..come on..", saying so she literally dragged me inside making me run to match up to her pace.. Climbing up the stairs she led me to Gauri ma and Hrishikesh uncle's room..
"Mom!! Look who's here!!", paakhi said excitedly after opening the door.. I smiled looking at gauri ma and went on to hug her."So now I need Paakhi to talk with you ha?", Gauri ma scolded me and I smiled sheepishly, I'd been ignoring her calls because of the interview.. Was that difficult or what..
Coming out of my thoughts I looked around the room, packed bags near the door and clothes laid on the bed, what exactly was going on??, I thought "Gauri ma what's going on?? These packed bags and all??", I asked confused.. She shook her head smiling and pointed towards Paakhi, "She planned a Europe tour for me and hrishi.. Says that its our".."Second honeymoon", Paakhi said jumping on the bed.."Still a kid", I thought smiling when Gauri ma hit her head lightly saying," Chup badmaash"..
"But suddenly??", I asked.. "That's what I said but she and Samar insisted.. To be more precise they 'forced' us..", Gauri ma stated..
Paakhi gaped and said in a dramatic style, "No we didn't , We just thought it'd be great for you to have a break..".. "Yeah right so that you can plan your surprise party..", Gauri ma said while she browsed the sarees in her closet.. Paakhi got up and while towards me said, "You guys are no fun.. We plan surprise for your anniversary and you guys never look surprised.. This year it'll be really surprising... Pakka..", coming to stand behind me she whispered," told you I'll handle ma".. I narrowed my eyes confused at what she was saying but then ma said," And for that you need to send us out for a MONTH!!".
Now I got it, One month!! No Gauri ma around!! Paakhi you're a genius!!, I covered my mouth to hide the big grin on my face..
"Big surprise, big prep, need more time..", Paakhi said.. While putting some more things in the bag Gauri ma said," Paakhi , you should be at your home planning your honeymoon and you're sending your parents on their second honeymoon".. Giving a tired look Paakhi replied," Now what do I do mom, my husband is more interested in work than me.. Neetu ma says its hereditary , all Singhania men are workaholics..".. Gauri ma shook her head and we continued packing, joking.

--- Raghav's POV ---
And, done. Shutting my laptop I went downstairs. Mom was placing dishes along with the servants while Dad and Sammy were discussing some work in living area.. "Dinner's ready..", Mom called for us.. "Samar where's Paakhi??", Mom asked Sammy. "She went to see off her parents, they're leaving today for a holiday",he replied.. "Holiday??".. "Ya Europe tour.."
Hearing that mom said," Lucky Gauri.. Otherwise some husbands are so busy in work they can't take out even a day for their wife", Samar smiled thinking it was just for dad but it wasn't," Don't you smile.. It was also for you Samar..", mom said.. "Mom but there's so much work at present, but don't worry I've planned for a vacation next month..", and their conversation went on.. Thanks to mom, most of it wasn't related to work which meant no one (meaning Sammy) won't be asking whom I hired but the next words that reached my ear made me say,' Spoke too soon Raghav'..
"So bhai.. Whom did you hire??", came Sammy's question but before I could answer luckily Paakhi came back and all attention shifted to her and her parents' holiday plan..
For a moment there I thought I was being paranoid but Samar cleared all my doubts after dinner when I was returning to my room," Bhai, the assistant is new so just don't give him/her much work.. Take it bit easy on them", he had said.. If for an unknown person he's saying that then if he gets to know its his wife's sister-like friend who's my assistant he'll very well be making me do all work..

--- Kalpana's POV ---
Today its going to be a long night for me, I'm so happy!! Now everything will slowly fall into place.. After working for about a year or so I'll leave the job, by that time I'll have enough money to restart my business and then it'll all be like the way it was..
The only problem that I might face is Gauri ma but now I feel its not that big of an issue so that means its going to be a really smooth road ahead.. Smiling I picked up my appointment letter..
Congratulations Ms.Kalpana Jadhav, you've been accepted for the post of Executive assistant by Edifice group of companies..
Next Morning
At Edifice office
I was sitting on the couch near the reception twiddling my thumbs.. After completing my studies I'd started Shubh aarambh and so working under someone was an area I was completely inexperienced in and the interviewer's words of the boss being short-tempered just added to my nervousness..
"Excuse me", a middle-aged man stood in front of me. I got up to greet him," Good morning sir", I said.. With the way he was dressed in the three piece suit I assumed he was my employer, Mr.Sahil Singhania.. Weirdly that surname sounded familiar but I just couldn't remember where I heard it.
"Ms. Kalpana??", the person said breaking me away from my thoughts.. "Sorry", I said and he nodded after which he started explaining what my work will be in detail.
The head office had many buildings, some dealing with their construction business, some with their software business and so on.. There were about three-four such businesses.. Mr.Sahil who I thought was my employer was the CEO of the company and I was working directly under his son who was the MD and the CEO of the software business.. It went for about an hour, Mr.Roy also gave me tour of the building where I'd be working from now on.
Now it was 9 am an hour before the office hours began so I went down to the cafeteria to get a cup of coffee..

--- Raghav's POV ---
I looked at my watch it was 9.15, "She might've been done with the instructions and all", I thought and just then I heard a knock. "Come in", I said and Mr.Roy came in. "Sir I've explained her everything and showed her the office too as you asked me yo", he explained.. "Thank you Mr.Roy. Umm.. Just send her in then..", I told him but he replied that she has gone to the cafeteria.. "I'll give her the message", he said and left.
I sat on my chair after removing my coat as I always did and picked up one of files on my desk. Trying to concentrate was in vain as my thoughts constantly shifted to one thing, What am I gonna do about Sammy?? Generally speaking this thought made me look like a paranoid person but I knew my brother way too well.. He gets to know about Kalpana working here, he either will be me get a new assistant or lessen her work either of which was unacceptable to me.. Guess so there's only one way out now..

"Raghav sir would like to meet you", Mr.Roy informed me and left..
Wait.. Raghav sir.. That name did ring a bell.. Raghav sir, Sahil Singhania's son means... RAGHAV SINGHANIA !! "Oh great", I thought sarcastically.. Just when I'd started to think that its going to be a smooth road I just realised it was blocked by huge rock.. Him!! Again!!
I wasn't really prejudiced about him but even a mere mention of his name would make anger surge in me.. Guess so it was all credit to all our meetings.. But now I knew I had to behave professionally so I just got up and leaving the cafeteria went straight to his office..

--- Raghav's POV ---
I'd decided what I had to do and so now it was easy to concentrate on work.. I was typing an email when I heard someone knock.."May be its her", I thought.. "Come in". The door opened and she came inside. She didn't look surprised at all, perhaps Mr.Roy mentioned my name or maybe it was because of her appointment letter which was signed by Dad.
She stood before me and greeted me," Good morning sir".. "Good morning", I greeted her back in a professional way same as her..
"Mr.Roy has informed you about your work, I suppose.."
"Yes sir.."
"Good, but I'd just like you to know that there are some thingshe hasn't mentioned"
She nodded and was now listening to me attentively.
"I know you're Paakhi's", before I could finish she cut in saying.

--- Kalpana's POV ---
" Sir, I got this job not because I'm Paakhi's friend but because of my merit so I'll also like it if you treat me like you would've treated any other employee", frankly I was initially shocked as I never expected HIM to even consider the fact of his sister-in-law being related to me in any way and so he would be lenient with me but his words that followed cleared all those doubts," Great to hear that Ms.Jadhav", he said," And you need not worry as that was exactly the thing I'd planned. You'll not be shown any different behavior and you'll have to work same as my previous assistants did".
And he went on to explain me how he works or if what really meant,' How he makes his assistant regret their career decision..'. For him holiday or no holiday he has to get his work done at exactly the way he asked it and exactly at the time he asked it..
After finishing giving me all instructions he said," The last and the most important thing, whenever you see my brother just hide".. "Huh..??", though I heard it clearly I was confused, why would he even say that??
"Cutting the long story short, My brother will give the special treatment you don't want.. He'll not treat you like an employee because you're like Paakhi's sister which according to him makes you his sister too.. So just do what I'm saying..", he completed and after assigning me some work asked me to leave..
