I hope I live up to your expectations and once again this SS is my POV for EMA so it may differ with yours. 😊
So lets have a shubharambh of the story from that fateful night.
Part-1
Kalpi was shattered. She was sitting in the middle of the terrace. Tears were flowing continously. She couldn't believe that her Aai again failed to understand her. She slapped her for Pakhi. She denied to accept the alliance eventhough she knew that Raghav loves her and not Pakhi. She was ready for her heart break but not of Pakhi. That night was really long for whole Jadhav family as well as for Raghav.
Even Raghav couldn't believe that Kamla Maa the lady who has been a mother figure to him failed miserably in understanding his Kalpi. He was standing somewhere near to Chawl with Sammy his support system.
"Sammy yaar all this while I thought its only me who is so unlucky that my mother left me for someone but I was wrong. See...Kalpi has her mother with her but still she is not with her. She has always placed Pakhi over Kalpi and today also she did the same. Sammy how can a mother be so heartless for her own daughter. I don't know but I cannot live without her and if she does not agree I'll prefer to lead my life as a bachelor but in no case will I marry that Kapoor princess."
Sammy didn't utter a word. He stood there for he knew Raghav needs a listener right now with whom he can share his pain and not someone who consoles him.
Vitthal and Pakya were at home. They were also thinking about Kamla's behaviour. Both were getting furious on her.
"Baba Aai aisa kar sakti hai.She is our mother and instead of being on our side we always found her standing on the opposite side. Why???"
"Pakya I know but I guess she has forgotten it long time before. In order to fill in the deficit of love for Pakhi she ignored you both completely. Today again she proved that she doesn't understand her children at all. At the time of result also she didn't trust my Rajkumari and failed to understand her. This is not something new beta but yes this time I won't allow anyone not even your mother to come in between my daughter's happiness. Its my word to you."
"Hey Deva!! Why did you put me into such situation where you know it will be difficult for me to say Yes to Kalpi. Kalpi is strong enough to handle the heart break but my pooki baby isn't that strong. How will she manage herself. No I have to convince Kalpi anyhow to leave Raghav. She has to forget Raghav or else my Pakhi baby will suffer. She may probably harm herself. No no I won't let that happen. I will talk with Kalpi tomorrow." Kamla convinced herself that whatever she is doing is right and that Kalpi will get over it soon.
Even the darkest night comes to an end with rays of sun. Kalpi got up. She realised that she has slept on terrace. Quickly she went down. While coming down she saw her mother sleeping near Bappa's temple. She turned her face from her. She went inside her house where her Baba and Dada were sleeping. She got ready and left the house before anybody wakes up especially her Aai. She didn't want to face her. She knew if she says anything against this alliance it will break the last string of control in her and she will lash out on her mother which she didn't want to and so she left the chawl without informing anyone.
When Kamla woke up she went to her home to confront Kalpi and make her understand that Raghav is not the right person for her coz he is rich and they stand no where near his status and that Raghav and Pakhi match perfectly and for her namesake sister's well being she should take the back foot in this relationship which will help Raghav to forget her and think his future with Pakhi. But to her surprise Kalpi was not at home. She called out her name loudly. Vitthal and Pakya woke up hearing her scream and asked her as to why was she calling out her name so loudly.
"Vitthal, Pakya Kalpi is not at home. I have searched her everywhere but she isn't there. I am feeling scared. Where is she??"
"Kalpi is strong Kamla remember thats the reason why you are ready to ruin your own daughter's life coz you feel she will be able to handle the heartbreak unlike your Pakhi baby whose love is just one sided. You need not worry for her for you were never there when my kids needed their mother the most. I am capable enough to take care of my kids." Vitthal said to Kamla. His blood was boiling in anger and his voice reflected the same.
Raghav had gone to temple to pray before Bappa to give him his due share of happiness. He pleaded before him not to seperate him from his Kalpi. After doing Pooja the way Kalpi had taught him he left the temple. While going back home suddenly a lady came before his car. It was impossible for him to control his car as that lady appeared suddenly from nowhere. He applied the breaks with all his force and managed to stop the car but in the process the lady got injured a bit. He immediately came out of his car.
Seeing the huge crowd the goons that were after Gauri on the instructions of Sahil ran away from the fear of being caught. Raghav turned the lady and was shocked. She was his mother. He had seen her last almost around 20 years before. He took her in his car and headed for his home. Gauri was unconscious all through the drive. Raghav was just staring at the lady sitting beside him. His heart was jumping with joy to see his mother back after so many years but in the very next moment remebered the anguish he had because of her. Had Kalpi not come into his life he would have been the same stone hearted Raghav Singhania.
Raghav was pacing in the room waiting for his mother to wake up so that he can get answer to all his questions. The questions that have been haunting him since the time she left. After few hours Gauri woke up. She was scared to see herself in a different place. She scanned the whole room and found a photo frame that had Raghav's photo along with his father. She remembered everything. She started screaming Chintu...Chintu...chintu. Raghav was on call outside the room. He cut the call in mid and rushed in. Gauri hugged him tightly. She was crying. All the pain that she had was pouring out in the form of tears. The pain of staying away from her son for so many years, pain of not remembering anything about herself, pain of loosing her husband, seeing his murder before her eyes and her helplessness that she couldn't do anything to get justice.
Raghav wanted to hug her back but first he needed his answers. Before he could say Gauri started her story. She told him everything. He clenched his fist in anger. His blood was boiling and his eyes were fuming. He wanted to take Revenge but now his spirit has increased in manifold. His mother told him how Kamla and family in Singhania Chawl took care of her. Raghav got attentive on listening to this. He was surprised that all these years Kamla ma took care of his mom. He felt proud of his Kalpi when Gauri said that she loves her a lot and that she is like a daughter to her.
After hearing the last line his fading hope revived. He thought that if his mom will talk about kalpi and his marriage then Kamla Ma won't deny. Excitedly he told her that he loves Kalpi more than his life and wants to marry her at any cost. But what he heard next snatched away all the happiness he felt on getting his mother and on knowing that his mother likes Kalpi.
"Raghav Kapi is a nice girl. But don't forget she is a chawl girl. She doesn't match up with our status. She isn't suitable enough to be your wife. NO!! I am not going to allow you to marry her. You are Raghav Singhania and she stays in Singhnia Chawl. Its not accepatable to me."
Raghav felt devastated. He couldn't believe his mom can think so low of a girl who took care of her inspite of the fact that she is not related to them. The same Kalpi who was like a duaghter to her is now a chawl girl. He felt sorry for Kalpi and her family. But nothing can shake his detemination not even his mom.
Kalpana was sitting on bench where she used to sit when she felt lonely, when she was sad. So engrossed she was in her thoughts that she didn't know when the night came in. The feeling of being rejected yet again was difficult for her to digest. This time it was matter of her life and her own mother was ready to ruin it for Pakhi. She was dejected. She had cried the whole day and now even tears stopped forming in her eyes. Her phone rang, it was an unknown number. She had not taken any calls since morning which came from her home be it even of her Baba and Dada. Since it was unknown no she picked up. It was Pakya.
"Kalpi when are you coming back. Look I know you don't want to face Aai its okay you don't have to. Baba is there to support you and me too. Come home fast. We have not eaten anything since morning and I know even you didn't have anything. Chal ab jaldi ghar aaja."
"Haan Dada mei aa rahi hun. You don't worry."
Pakya reached home and informed that Kalpi is coming in a while. Kamla was happy to hear this. She thought now she can confront Kalpi. Vitthal noticed her smile and warned her "Kamla you dare speak with my daughter about this matter and I'll will forget what relationship we share with each other. She is my Rajkumari and you have already broken her heart by not supporting her so it would be better that you don't speak to her at all. "
"Vitthal she is my daughter too. Who knows better than a mother of what is right for her child. Kalpi is wrong Vitthal and she has to understand."
"Where is she wrong haan? You only taught her to dream big and that to be educated as well as become a successful person is every human's right than how is she wrong?? She proved herself in every front. Though she stays in chawl yet she topped her university, she proved her worth in her job when she was accused of being a thief who stole the presentation and gave it to Kapoors. She has every right to dream big and live big."
Kamla was shocked to see this side of Vitthal. Never in these years he had spoken to her in such a rude manner and today he is ready to forget their relation when Kalpi is wrong. She dropped the idea of talking to Kalpi and thought she had enough time. Let the dust settle down and then she will raise the topic again. She was sure Kalpi won't marry Raghav against her mothers wish and will.
Kalpana came back and was taken in a bone crushing hug by her brother and was soon joined by her Baba. The trio cried a little but did not make space for Kamla. She was standing near the kitchen. She was happy to see them happy but at the same time she felt sad on being ignored.
They all sat together and had their dinner. None of them spoke a word. Kalpi thanked her Baba and Dada through her eyes and they smiled at her. After finishing dinner she went to terrace to have fresh air. She felt suffocated in the home coz she had to face her Aai every minute and she was afraid when her Aai will come up with the topic. She didn't want to talk about it and therefore left for terrace.
Raghav and Gauri were having their dinner when Gauri said " Raghav in order to take revenge you have to marry Pakhi Kapoor and also take all the property of theirs as a condition to marry her. You will torture her and that will make Kapoors realise how does it feel to see your child going through pain and you are standing there seeing it in front of your eyes but are helpless. I want to see their faces at that point of time it will soothe my pain to a certain extent."
" Mom I said I love Kalpi with all my heart and soul. I won't marry anyone else. Thats final and I don't want any argument on it." Saying so Raghav stood up from the chair in anger and went to his room without looking at his mom.
Gauri thought this is not the right time. I have met him now after ages. Let me settle down and then I'll make my son do what I want but one thing is for sure I won't allow Kalpi to become my daughter in law. She smiled wickedly.
In the mid night Kalpana was still on the terrace when she heard a sound. She got scared for a moment but soon handled herself. She took the stick that was lying down nearby and went towards the parapet. She was shocked it was Raghav.
"Why did you take this route?" Kalpana asked surprisingly.
Raghav pulled her to himself and took her in a tight hug. It expressed his desire, his longing, his pain and his LOVE. She hugged him back with same emotions. Both were crying and stayed in each other arms taking strength from each other.
Moments later Raghav broke the hug, he cupped her face and caressed her cheeks with his thumb. He was just looking at her intently taking in the beauty and innocense she has. After taking a deep breath Raghav said "Kalpana I am left with two options. One to run away with you and marry you which is what I want and the other one is what my mother wants to marry Pakhi and take revenge on Kapoors."
Kalpana was surprised on hearing mother from Raghav's mouth. She looked at him questioningly. Raghav told her the entire incident that happened within a day that changed his life completely.
Fresh tears started forming in her eyes on knowing how low her tai thinks for her. She said "Raghav I cannot marry you without my Aai and your mothers consent"
"Kalpi you know what are you saying!!! Your Aai wants me to marry Pakhi coz she loves me and my mom wants me to marry her out of Revenge. None of them is thinking about us. Where are we wrong Kalpi if we love each other. I cannot give my name to Kapoor's daughter. No its only for you. Kalpi for once just once think about yourself, about me, about us. Will you be able to live without me? Can you see me with someone else living a loveless marriage which is nothing but compromise? C'mon Kalpi you can't do this to us. We have dreamt our future together."
"He is right Kalpi." A voice came from behind. Both turned and were startled to see Vitthal and Pakya standing in front of them. Kalpi and Raghav left each others arms and stood straight. Kalpi, your mother will never ever be able to understand her mistake. She won't support you instead she will convince you by emotionally blackmailing you to step down. You have all the rights to live your life for yourself and for him. I'll handle everything over here by the time you come. Remember Kapoors are coming by tomorrow afternoon and then things will get much more complicated once Pakhi gets to know about the truth before that go and get married. Raghav Baba take care of my Kalpi I am giving her to you let not anything harm her. She has already gone through a lot and nothing has been hidden from you. Take care of her. And once Kamla and Gauriji accept this relation then we will marry you again with all the taam jhaam and I will fulfill all my dreams that I have seen for your marriage but for now go and get married. Jao."
Vitthal placed Kalpi's hand in Raghav's and made them run away from chawl with the help of Pakya. Before leaving Raghav hugged Vitthal for supporting them. Kalpi also hugged her father and brother for undertstanding her and taking her side.
Another dark night was going to end soon but this morning will be new. It will be different. All three mothers will be left heart broken. And see the irony of fate its the mothers who are wrong this time and not kids.
