BTW - I did watch Banegi apni baat and remember some bits of it. There too rich girl married rich guy using devious means after poor girl and rich boy fell in love. But that was before TRP system started right?

DJs and their CVs have a sadistic bent of mind IMHO. I have lots to rant about one of their previous shows that was a light hearted, simple story with a comic touch but had an awful end even though the leads were together. Among the people on that forum, I am the only one who dared to watch another DJ show.

Haha Dhani.Haan meine dekhi hai Kasauti Zindagi Kay ,lekin zyaada se zyaada 15-20 episodes.Usse zyaada nahin.Baaki ka story I got to know from shows like Saas Bahu aur Saazish that give juicy gossip about Hindi TV shows.

Aap sar phod dengi usme kya kya hua.Lekin Haan TRPs shooting through the roofs.Makes me want to kill off the 8500 homes jinke TV mein TRP metre attach kiya gaya hai.

I was right here all this while.Lekin mein zyaada comment nahin karti,more of a silent reader.I got to know about this forum when I was searching for news about EMA.Uske baad bhi I didn't register,just used to read the posts and have a great time.Phir ek mahine ke baad I joined sirf EMA ke liye.It's the only show I had been watching for the past 11 months.

Meine Banegi Apni baat nahin dekhi but have heard about it.And yes,tab TRP system nahin tha.

Meine zyaada TV shows dekhe nahin because my father wont let me and I had to study most of the time.Toh meine zyaada comedy shows dekhe hain aur 2-3 dramas aur un sab ke bhi bahut kam,at most 10 episodes hi dekhe honge.Aur DJs ek hi production house hain jinke meine sabse zyaada shows dekhe hain.Although saare shows ke bas 10-15 episodes hi dekhe honge.Sirf EMA hi ek show jiske meine almost saare episodes dekhe hain.

How can I ever forget that The Great Kamala Mahan left Kalpi to drown to save her doodh ki beti Pookhi and claimed later that it was an attempt to make Kalpi Isshtronggg 🤢

@AlexWaverly...You seem to know your stuff, thanks so much for giving a detailed insight into what happens with shows, PH and television channels.

You know, I remember that once upon a time Zee had some really nice shows years ago where I wasn't turned off by them but as time went by for some reason or the other the shows and them have gotten so unwatchable. They will start off good and then from the middle they take a nose dive and end up in the land of fantasy and make believe. For this reason I had taken a long break from Zeetv. I started to watch EMA in May only because of Rachana but then lo and behold this show went the same route like every other show before.

I honestly don't know how people do it, I don't know how they could continue watching a show day in and day out which has no logic and going nowhere. I'll be honest, I tolerated EMA after May 9th only because of Raghav and Kalpi, cvs had such a good thing going with this show, they could've done so much with it but they choose to go the fantasy path. I know channels have power yes but so does the audience, if audience use the power that they have and exercise such power, channel or PH would be forced to improve their show, afterall channels and PH need people to see their shows, if they don't have an audience how will they survive?

By the way, thanks KyaRe for a nice post.
