Lovely post TM
Too bad that the cvs replace her because her performance was bad (though they may state that was the reason) but because she was not fair (and in their opinion) lovely
I this was not india, the cvs/channel would probably have been sued by now for racism

just posting my views..u say pakhi was more beautiful and glamorous than rachna, the old kalpi..i disagree.

rachana is very beautiful..irrespective of the complexion..and the actress playing pakhi is not..she may be fair..but not lovelier than rachana..i know its not right to compare looks of actors...but its already done here.
just saying that rachana is pretty and has beautiful features.
asha too is pretty..and it has more to do with her innocence and a beautiful soul ..not her complexion. i would have loved her just for the kind of person she is..
and as someone said..producers wouldn't have signed rachana at all if they were racists..

about the story..ya.the story u all fell in love with has changed..havent really followed EMA earlier, but read few posts.
the makers already said they r revamping the show.
maybe they won't go for the conventional revenge saga..lets just wait n watch..who all r still watching

@ bold - that's why I used the term conventionally, because I too felt that Rachna is very attractive as is the actress who plays pakhi.

I was referring to the conventional view where pakhi being fair would be considered better looking than kalpi.

Kalpi is well portrayed by RachanaP no one else can like rachana did...this fact is also known to ph and cv so they changed the story as well...old ema was lot of potential but now they lost all...at the end of old ema msg given to viewers by ema was
Murderer always murderer(kapoors)
Bevkoof always bewkoof (singhanias)
Bai always bai (jadhav)
No one is able to change his/her ema. 🤢 ema

Racism is really serious accusation. And Did I just read its easy to connect with dusky skin replacement? So racisim is only when u put down dark skin people but its completely alright when u sound harsh towards fair skin people? Thats not racism? So fair girls have no right to start journey to touch asmaan? Or kamvali bai's daughter has no right to look fair.?

Just to express sentiments of dark girls its not important to be harsh towards fair girls. And if fairness was real matter or problem then there many makup kits available in market.

Lets not be judgemental when real reason of replacement is unknown. And need to think twice before such big accusation. PH deserves little respect for giving opportunity to ur fav actress.

Yes, the two actors portraying the character have contrasting Skin tones but I highly doubt it had anything to do with CV's/Channel's decision.

Kalpi who had a dark skin earlier, was still the Lead of the Show. Fan's loved her for her acting and I'm sure everyone from the PH, CV and channel knew that. Had color been an issue, they would have never approached the actor in the first place.

This is a very serious accusation.

This is 21st century and do u think skin color is an issue? Bollywood is full of dark girls but who cares about color? Talent is the matter at the end of the day.
We dont even know real reason of replacement. And that same racist cvs approached her to play kalpana. Its amazing. They r racist but gave chance to dusky girl.

With all due respect to White-Rose, there is a reason why the post was made.

Racism has been apparent among many other things in the cast and CVs in their behavior & treatment towards Rachana and her onscreen character.

@ TM did not mean any disrespect to Asha. This is not about her at all.

Like it or not, many Indians have a fair skin hang up. This is a general statement, again I am not referring to Asha.
