Yes, the two actors portraying the character have contrasting Skin tones but I highly doubt it had anything to do with CV's/Channel's decision.

Kalpi who had a dark skin earlier, was still the Lead of the Show. Fan's loved her for her acting and I'm sure everyone from the PH, CV and channel knew that. Had color been an issue, they would have never approached the actor in the first place.

This is a very serious accusation.

And she could've been replaced with someone who had a similar skin tone. The crux of kalpi pakhis conflict also lay in the difference in their looks. Now this new kalpi is nowhere relatable to the old kalpi.

Also Raghav loved kalpi even though by conventional standards pakhi was more glamorous and prettier, that's where the strength of their love lay, in the difference in their status and personalities. Now just like that cvs have removed these differences.
