Part 15
"Let's party, let's party.." Maya said in her sing-song voice.
"Let's chill chill, let's chill.." Paakhi went on. Paakhi was comfortably settled on the couch in Tani's room, her feet dangling over the edge of it. "Yeah.. yeahh.."
"Lal Dupatta.." Kalpana sang in her sweet voice as she sat on the stool, pretending to look out the window. One day, she promised herself, she would see the world beyond it. She went on. "Lal Dupatta Ud Gaya re.."
Tanya who was sitting on the bed with all her work files scattered across it, threw down a blue colored one in frustration. Smacking her head in irritation she snaps at the girls. "Guys shut up!"
Paakhi and Maya immediately stop what they are doing and focus their attention on Tani.
Kalpana however, continues on singing unaware of her surroundings.
"Mujhko piya ne dekh liya haaye re dhoke se.."
The girls silently listened as Kalpana sang her song. After she was finished, the girls clapped eagerly.
"Wow.." Tani said in awe.
"You sing so well Kalpi!" Paakhi added cheerfully.
"Unbelievable!" Maya said.
Kalpana smiled at the girls. "I believe that God has sent a person for everyone, and well.. whenever I sing I feel like there is a prince charming out there.." Kalpi confessed.
"Beautifully said Kalpi" Paakhi told her as she sat up on the couch. "What say girls?" she asked the other two.
"You definitely have talent" Maya told Kalpi. "I say.. you addition for one of those singing shows.. like Sa.. Re.. Ga... Ma.. Pa.." she says dramatically.
"Maya!" Kalpi says laughingly. "You know I only sing for fun!"
"It's her habit of dramatizing everything, don't take her to heart" Tani said laughing. "But for now help me find that file!"
"Which one??" Paakhi asked her casually.
"The Mehra one.. you know na.. we have a deal going on with them." Tani replied.
"Arre Bappa..." Kalpi cried out as she fell from her stool.
The girls immediately jumped out of their spots and went to where Kalpana lay on the floor, crying in pain.
One look at her friend and Paakhi knew. Kalpana was reacting at the mention of the file.
"No, I'm fine" Kalpana insisted as she managed to get herself up.
She gulped as tears threatened to rush through her eyes.
"I'll go home" she said as she turned towards the entrance.
"I'll assist her" Paakhi said a little too cheerfully as she rushed after Kalpi.
"These two are acting fishy" Maya told Tani.
"So toh hai, but what could it be??" Tani asked.

"Is Kalpana here, Vitthal Uncle?" asked an unexpected guest who had arrived at Kalpana's doorstep.
Vitthal scrunched his eyebrows as he tried to remember where he had last seen this person.
"Uncle, may I come in?" he asked a little reluctantly.
Vitthal nodded as he let the guest in.
"Please sit" Vitthal said to him, and just when the guest was about to take a seat Vitthal shouted, "Stop!"
"You're the Raghav Singhania, are you not?!" as Vitthal finally remembered where he'd seen him.
Sure his eyes had focused only on his heart broken girl, but no- they had not failed to catch the person because of whom his daughter had been in pain.
"Yeah Sir, but-"
"I saw you that day in court" Vitthal went on, as if he hadn't heard Raghav. "Chee!"
"I can't believe you accused my daughter of such a thing?!"
"But Sir-" Raghav tried to say.
"What do you have to say now huh?" Vitthal asked him. "Haven't you already done enough?"
"Baba..?" Kalpi said as she and Paakhi came in. "What's going on?"
Vitthal remained quiet.
Kalpana walked forward a bit until she was right before Raghav.
Feeling her face burning a little, she reached out her hand and felt Raghav's face.
Raghav closed his eyes out of shame and backed off.
Vitthal pulled Kalpana to his side.
"Don't touch him Kalpu beta" he said soothingly. "It's Raghav, he's come here now.. I don't know why.. but seriously beta.."
Kalpana was standing still as her heart came to a stop. Her Baba needn't have mention Raghav, she had known it the second she had come in front of him. How could she forget the person who insulted her so much?
She put her hand on her forehead as Raghav spoke up. "Ms. Jadhav, I have come here to ask your forgiveness."
"I just had to say that I'm- I'm sorry." Raghav said. As he looked up to see Kalpi's reaction he was shocked to see her falling to her knees and collapsing on the ground right before his eyes.
"Kalpi!" Vitthal cried as they rushed to her.
Raghav tried to take a step forward but Vitthal stopped him in his tracks. "No Raghav.. enough is enough.. now just get out of here."
Vitthal didn't need to say it twice. Raghav walked out but not before he cast a worried glance at Kalpana.
"No, don't look at her" Vitthal snapped. "I don't even want you to think about her, got it?"
Paakhi rushed back to them with a bottle of water. "Kalpi.." she said sprinkling some water on her face. "Get up!"
Finally Kalpana regained consciousness and croaked out, "I am okay Baba, Paakhi please take me to my room."
"Paakhi, I am feeling so guilty" Kalpana said as she finally let her tears out.
"I took Tanu's file to take my revenge on Raghav."
Paakhi put an arm around her. "Well Kalpi, I won't say what you did was right but having suffered what you did no one would blame you."
"I'll tell Tanu the truth" Kalpana said. "I can't lie to my best friend.' "She's an honest person who does everything with responsibility and respect, I can't ruin her attitude in front of Raghav just for my revenge."
Paakhi just stayed silent as Kalpana went on. "Paakhi, she won't be able to meet his eyes.. you know why cause she's a girl who does everything without any fear, and without lying."
"I am proud of you Kalpi" Paakhi said. "I knew that good person in you would never let you do anything wrong."
And so they told Tanu the very next day.
Tanu was hurt at first but then chose to forgive her best friend. "I know what you were feeling Kalpu" she said patting her head. "But please don't betray me ever again."
Finally after all that emotional drama was over Maya rolled her eyes and said, "What now??"
Tanu smiled wickedly and said, "We'll surely take revenge on them, but not behind their backs."
"Ok..?" Maya asked not getting the point.
"Kalpi" Tani said turning to her. "Kal tum khule aam Raghav ke saath jang ka elaan kar dena."
