FF: Unseen Love

'Things were going NORMAL in Kalpi's life until HE showed up.'
"Mom, I'm going to be home late today because of a meeting so please don't bother to stay up" Kalpi told her mother Kamla Bai.
"Beta, it's your first meeting at work, how can I go to sleep before you return?" Kamla questioned her daughter.
"I know mom but don't worry, Maya told me that the presentation will go well" Kalpana replied.
"Arre mom, why worry? She'll be fine" Pakhya assured their mother. He walked over to his sister and put his arm around her. "I'll drop you off to the taxi" he told her. Kalpana smiled and nodded.
Kamla smiled as she watched Pakhya take his sister outside. She was proud of both of her kids.
Once Kalpana was safely seated inside the taxi, Pakhya gave her a quick peck on her forehead. "Love you, sis" he murmured. "Same here" Kalpana replied looking straight ahead. After Pakhya had slammed the door shut, the driver took off. "Aap boht kismat waali hai ki aapko itna acha Bhai Jaan milla hai" the driver told her. Kalpi said, "I know, I am grateful to God for that."
She and the driver knew each other quite well. It was usually Ram who drove Kalpi to and from work.
Once they'd reached their destination, Ram got out of his seat and opened the door for her. "Thanks, Bhaiya" Kalpana told Ram. "Kalpi!" Maya called out excitedly. She ran up to Kalpi and gave her a big hug. "Let's go" Maya said grabbing Kalpana's hand and walking into the building with her.
"Let's practice" Tani told Kalpana once they were in the meeting room. "Yeah" Maya said. Kalpana took a deep breath and said, "Okay." Paakhi got up to escort Kalpana to the front of the room & then sat back down. Tani put the CD in and said, "Ready." The girls watched as Kalpana presented and clapped kindly when it ended. "Too good" Paakhi said. Maya and Tani nodded in agreement. "Thank you, Tanu" Kalpana said to Tani. "What for?" Tani asked. "Giving me a job in your dad's company" Kalpana responded. "Especially after knowing that I-" "No, no" Tani said. "Don't say thank you, Kalpi. Truth is that when dad handed this company over to me he gave me one piece of advice." Tani paused for a moment while remembering then continued, "He told me to make the right decisions. To do what I felt was right. Hiring you, my friend was one of the greatest decisions I've ever made."
Just then, Ramu Kaka entered. "Mam, clients are here" he said to Tani. "Okay good" Tani said. Maya saw Kalpi fiddling with her hands nervously and said, "You'll be fine, Kalpi." Kalpana smiled and nodded.
The girls didn't want the businessmen to flaunt off too much attitude so they remained seated. When Kalpi was about to stand up, Tani quickly pulled her back down. "Don't respect them too much" Maya added.
Ramu Kaka was left alone to welcome the clients. "Welcome, Mr. Singhania" he stuttered. Raghav Raghav smirked and looked at the girls. They hadn't stood up to welcome him. How rude. He made a mental note to take this into consideration when sealing the deal.
Raghav gestured for his fellow workers to sit down with his hand.
Sammy was immediately drawn towards Paakhi. She was so very pretty. Smiling, he made a mental note to take Paakhi into consideration when advising Raghav if he should make the deal or not.
Raghav sat at the head of the table and nodded his head curtly for the girls to begin their presentation. "Kalpana will be presenting from our side" Tani declared haughtily. She was no less than this Raghav Singhania. Kalpana stood up and smiled slightly. As soon as Raghav saw her, he blinked his eyes several times. He immediately straightened his collar.đ
Paakhi muttered something to Kalpana but she shook her head. "I'll manage" Kalpana whispered back.
Raghav noticed that Kalpana always looked straight ahead when presenting. Did she have everything so well memorized that she didn't need to look at the screen at all? It was quite impressive.
Once Kalpana sat down, Raghav spoke up. "So you girls run this entire company?"
"Yes, any doubts?" Tani asked angrily. "We are quite capable, Mr. Singhania!" "Oh, not to get angry, Miss, was just generally asking" Raghav replied while rolling his eyes out of boredom. "So Sam what say?" he said turning towards Sammy to know his opinion. "Sammy!" Raghav snapped and Sam quickly shifted his eyes from Paakhi to Raghav. "H-haan, I mean yes, we shall take it!" Sammy said eagerly. Raghav took his pen out of his front pocket and scribbled his signature onto the papers in front of him. Sammy had said yes and so the deal was done. "So we're officially business partners" he told Tani. "We'll be working together. And-" he added. "Don't forget your business will be our business." "And" Tani retorted. "Your business will also be our business then." "Of course" Raghav said with a smile. Raghav looked at Kalpi one last time which was unnoticed by her and then left.
Once the guys had left the girls cheered. "Who'll organize the party, us or them?" Paakhi asked. "Of course us girls" Tani and Maya replied at the same time. "I'll drop you home, Kalpana" Tani said grabbing her keys. "Okay" Kalpana said quietly.
Tani was their boss but she never mentioned it to any of these three girls. They were best of friends since college. "Okay guys, take care" Tani said to Paakhi and Maya as they walked out. Tania took Kalpana's arm. "Let's go" she told her friend.
When they got to the chawl, Tani accompanied Kalpana up the stairs. On the first bell, Kamla opened the door. "Kalpi!" she said pulling her into a hug. "How was it?" Kamla asked. "Aunty, Kalpana totally rocked the presentation!" Tani exclaimed. "Sach?" Kamla's face had a huge smile on it. "I'm proud of you, beta" she said kissing Kalpana's forehead. "Okay, Aunty I'll be leaving" Tani said. Kamla nodded. "Bye, Beta."
Precap: Party at Tani's house. She thinks that guys are thieves and keeps a close eye on them.
