I had an apprehension too when I heard about Shirni not wanting to do negative role. It is surprising like you said since I usually hear actors wanting to do negative or heavy roles as there's more scope. I guess she feels she wont be able to pull it off. The change in characterization of pakhi shows the "essence of the story " has changed to suit requirements coz she is favored by a certain creative
