Chapter 4a

Why only Singhania's and no other company?' was her question to the Head. The Head tried to explain her that he was partnering her with the best. I will decide who is the best was her stern reply. She is right' said Prem. Prem had to get this project to earn the lost reputation of his company. The company was facing a major setback due to the arrest of his parents in a case of fraud and murder of Mr. Singhania. She suggested the Head to ask both Kapoor's and Singhania's to present her with a case on how this partnership will be lucrative to her. Prem was surprised at her audacity but decided to keep his calm till the deal was fixed. Raghav was equally taken aback and had always believed that he did not need to prove himself in front of anyone. However, he was all set to do anything to bring her back in his life. Fine! Meeting is tomorrow at 12' he said and left the place with Sammy.

So, you have 5 minutes to prove that you are the best for this project' said Kalpi as soon as the meeting started the next day. Prem was flabbergasted and tried to cut in saying that 5 minutes was too less to explain what Kapoor construction can do for her. 5 mins' she said again loud and clear. Prem started with his talk praising himself and his company but in the entire 5 minutes he was laying points which would just benefit him. He was a shrewd person who wanted this project but was still considering Kalpi as the same old chawl girl. Without letting him complete his words she gestured Singhania's to continue. Sammy was about to start speaking when Raghav said loudly If you partner with us you will be sole decision maker of this project. Singhania's will just back you up with all resources'. Prem's eyes widened after listening to what Raghav had said. He thought that Raghav was offering too much to this chawl girl who is new in the business world.

If at any point I feel that I am not getting what I was promised I will leave the project and you will have to bear all the expenses Mr.Singhania' Kalpi retaliated. 'I have my own guidelines and principles at work and you will have to abide by them' she added. She was playing it hard and Raghav was in no mood to negotiate on this. He readily agreed to whatever she said. The deal was sealed between Singhania's and KJ construction leaving a staggered Prem who was fuming in anger.

Payback time begins Mr. Singhania' muttered Kalpi as she signed the official papers for the deal.
