Hi guys,

Due to today's crappy episode I have rewritten my chapter, because I felt we all need some Kamla venting and some Ragna moments. The chapter might be short for I am typing it out as I think it. I hope it is good because it is rushed.

Chapter 25

Gauri maa looks at Kamla maa in disbelief; she cannot believe what she just witnessed. She walks towards Kamla maa, grasps her hand to get her attention and shooting out question after question, not waiting for an answer, because as far as Gauri maa is concerned there is no acceptabe answer... "What is this Kamla? Why would you want to separate Ragav and Kalpi? You would take away Kalpi's happiness?" Kamla maa looks at Gauri maa, her eyes brimming with tears, trying to understand what had just happened, all her mind can process is, "Kalpi did not choose her aai. Kalpi always chose her aai, no matter what, she was samajdar, and she always stood by her aai no matter what."

Shocked to the core, Kamla maa tries to speak, Gauri maa stops her by saying she is not interested in hearing anything Kamla has to say, she continues, "Since I have lived with you, I have observed Kalpi craving your love and affection. She would have heeded all your requests through your emotional blackmail, so I can see you convincing Kalpi to sacrifice her love, but what about Ragav, how would you have convinced him to forget Kalpi and accept Pakhi." Shaking her head Gauri maa says, "You disgust me as a mother; you have only given love and affection to Kalpi when you want something from her or when you want to reduce your guilt for when you have wronged her."

Kamla maa unable to take anymore of the harsh words closes her eyes, not wanting to believe the harsh words tai has just spoken. She mentally shakes her head, telling herself this is not true... tai is wrong. Gauri maa gives Kamla maa a disgusted look and walks away. On her way to her room, her glaze freezes on Pakhi who is, silently standing frozen in shock as silent tears run down her face. She glares at her, disgust clearly written on her face and says, "You would marry a man that loves another. Do you not respect yourself?" she turns back to Kamla maa and says aloud in anger, "You have denounced Kalpi as your daughter, from today I shall be Ragav and Kalpi's aai. From today, I shall not allow you to hurt either of them" Kamla maa looks on... lost... for she does not know how to respond.

Gauri maa angrily strides towards Kamla maa, grabs her hand and walks her to the entrance, opens the door and shoves Kamla maa out. Kamla maa follows, meek as a lamb, too shocked to react. Gauri maa says angrily, "Get out, you are no longer part of this family and are no longer welcome here", shutting the door on Kamla maa.

Gauri maa turns around to give Pakhi an earful, only to see Sammy dragging her to the terrace, so blinded by his anger that he does not care if she gets hurt in the process.

Ragav carries Kalpi to their room, his heart hurting as he watches her breaking down in his arms. He places her carefully on the bed and watches helplessly as she curls herself into a ball, her eyes shut as she hiccups away... silent tears continuously falling. He falls on to his knees by her bedside as he quietly watches his wife cry away... he is lost... he does not know what to do... should he leave her alone for some time to deal with this grief that she is experiencing... or... should he try to soothe her... he decides to wait and let her decide.

Suddenly insecure Ragav wonders, "Would Kalpi want me to soothe her, after all I am the culprit here. I broke my promise." He shuts his eyes as he looks up to the ceiling, berating himself for being a jerk. "Damn my temper", he thinks.

Suddenly Ragav feels someone wiping the tears from his face, tears he was not aware of, were falling. He looks at his wife, who is busy taking care of him instead of herself. It was as if she had sensed his inner turmoil. Overwhelmed with guilt... sorrow... love... he stops her by grasping her hands, he looks at the hands that were taking care of him... he kisses the centre of her palms, looks up into her eyes... eyes filled with concern for him, momentarily forgetting her own grief. He begins, with a tremor in his voice, "Kalpi I..." Kalpi immediately stops him from saying anymore by placing a finger on his lips and gives him a fiercely tight hug as she says, "Shhh..."

Kalpi immersed in her grief did not immediately realise that she was no longer in her husband's arms. Sensing his absence she opened her eyes in concern, thinking, "where is he... he must be hurting and does not want me to know." The sight in front of her proved her premonition correct; her husband was on his knees by her side, silently crying as his expressions reflected his inner turmoil... grief... guilt... despair. She knew that he loved her too much and too deeply and that he was breaking inside for having unconsciously having caused her pain.

Kalpi looks at her husband with so much love, thinking as she wipes his tears, "Here is a man... who never wanted to love anyone... who had planned to spend the rest of his life alone... who kept everyone at an arm's length... who did not do emotions... here is a man so passionate... who loves me as nobody ever will. I love him too much to see him break. I need to hide my pain."

Ragav looks at her; his gaze filled with guilt and despair, unable to see this, Kalpi hugs him tightly. Wanting to break him out of his guilty spell, she pushes him on to the floor. His back on the floor, she straddles him, with a hint of mischief in her eyes, she grins evilly and says, "I know you are ticklish, this is your punishment for not giving me your hugs and not kissing me better" and proceeds to tickle him, taking great pleasure in it.

Ragav stays on his back motionless, chocking on emotions as he watches his wife hide her grief so that she can take him out of his. He thinks, "I love this woman!" He grabs her hands, flips her so that their positions are reversed, he places her hands above her head, grasps both her hands in one of his and trapping her with his body. He looks into her eyes and says with an equally evil grin, "Sorry hun, it is not I but you that is ticklish" and proceeds to tickle her with his free hand as she squirms and squeals.

Ragav stops, desire taking over, he covers her with his body as both his hands grasp hers above her head, he looks into his wife's eyes, eyes reflecting a similar desire, he whispers passionately, "I was very remiss to not kiss you better, let me rectify it", he places small kisses around her lips. He lifts his head away from her, fighting for control, looks into eyes demanding more and says, "Feeling better." Kalpi shakes her head in frustration, her eyes demanding more, he smiles and kisses her passionately.
