Chap 19:
Kalpana reaches the camp and sees Hiya, neel and Trisha talking. She comes to them and starts questioning: Neel, r u alright? how did u get hurt? show me wound.
Neel lowers his eyes : I am sorry mee.. I told you lie. I am not hurt but me and di are not liking
this camp..so.lied to u.
Kalpana gets angry for a moment and then seeing their innocent face, her anger vanishes.
Kalpana : ok, you could tell me this on phone. Why did u lie to me. If you do not like the camp, I
will not force you to stay here.
Hiya and Neel holds their ears and say sorry to her.
Kalpana hugs them and tells : I am going to talk with ur teacher so that I can take u home.
Trisha's face falls hearing this and Kalpana sees it.
Kalpana : hi Trisha, you are also not enjoying this camp,
Trisha : Masi, it is worst. I want to go home.
Kalpana : ok, I will take permission from your teacher to take u home.
Trisha : Mom and dad are coming. Please wait for them.
Kalpana does not want to meet people from her past but Trisha's sad face makes her to stay there.
After Half an hour, Pakhi, Sammy along with Raghav reach there. Kalpana remembers last night's incident seeing Raghav and leaves from there to meet Hiya and Neel's teacher. Hiya runs to Raghav to greet him.
On her path to teacher's camp, Kalpana looks back and sees Raghav is sitting on her knees and
laughing with Hiya,. She feels good for a moment seeing father daughter duo but then flashbacks of her past starts dancing infront of her eyes and her face falls. She turns back and starts walking
toward camp.
Kalpana comes out of camp and informs that teacher has given permission to take children home.Kalpana moves toward her car with Hiya and Neel and finds out that her car is punctured. Raghav, Sammy and Pakhi who are walking behind her, notice this. Pakhi offers Kalpana to drop home but Kalpana politely refuses and calls her dada to inform everything. Pakhi again insists Kalpana saying that Hiya and Neel are not liking this place and she should agree for Hiya and Neel's sake. Finally, Kalpana agrees.
Sammy sits at driver's seat and Pakhi is about to sit at back seat when Trisha pulls her and asks her to sit with dad and her. Pakhi gives a helpless look at Kalpana and sits beside Sammy and trisha. Neel says that he wants window seat and sits in the car. Hiya after announcing that she will sit beside her brother goes inside the car. Not knowing what to do, Finally Kalpana sits in the car. Raghav sits beside Kalpana. Sammy starts the car.
Pakhi remembers how she punctured Kalpana's car when everyone is busy. She self thinks - I don't know what I am doing is right or wrong but I want to see Kalpana and raghav happy. otherwise my happiness will be always half. My husband will always live in guilt that he is responsible for Raghav's sadness and Kalpana's destruction. I am sorry Kalpana if it is hurting u today but may be it will be good for you in long run. I had kept my promise and did not tell Raghav and sammy anything about Hiya but I am a wife also. I want to erase every pain from my husband's life. My husband will be in pain till Raghav and you will be in pain.
Kalpana and Raghav are sitting side by side. Kalpana is feeling uncomfortable but she does not show it and starts talking with Trisha, hiya nad neel. Raghav looks at Kalpana who is busy in telling neel that it is risky to take his hand out from running car's window and then asking hiya not to tickle Neel, then asking Trisha about her likes and dislikes. Kalpana is keeping herself busy in talking with children so that she can avoid the embarrassing situation. but car is small and luxurious. So, whenever Sammy takes a turn or cross a speed breaker, Kalpana's arms brushes off against Raghav's shoulder. Raghav senses Kalpana's uncomfort and tries to sit a lil far from Kalpana. Kalpana notices Raghav's this effort and she just mutters ' Please sit comfortably. I am Ok'. Raghav does not say anything and asks hiya to come and sit with him and Hiya readily agrees. Hiya pulls Neel with her. Hiya and Neel sits between Raghav and Kalpana. Raghav starts talking with Hiya, Neel and Trisha.
Kalpana who is staring out of window is listening their conversation. and she is shocked to learn
that Hiya and Neel have developed a special bond with Raghav.Her arrogant and stubborn Hiya and mischievous neel are not too friendly. She can understand Raghav and Hiya's bonding but when did Neel start liking Raghav. Then she heard Raghav and Trisha's talks and a smile appears on her face unintentionally. She is seeing raghav who is so gentle and caring with children. Is it his real self or it is also fake like his love for her. It is said that eyes don't lie but Raghav's eyes also lie.But why does he cheat little kids. Raghav can't be so bad. she is thinking all this when her phone rings.
Kalpana : hell.Dada..yes I am on the way.you dont have to come. Pakhi will drop me Home
Pakya : I am on the way, Kalpu and your car has just crossed me. Tell mr. Raizada to stop car.I will
drop u all home.
Kalpana asks Sammy to stop his car as her dada has come. Sammy stops the car. Kalpana, hiya, neel comes out of car and Kalpana says thanks to Mr. Raizada. Hiya and Neel waves good bye to Raghav and it does not go unnoticed by Kalpana. Pakya is aso witnessed everything. He looks at Kalpana. This Kalpana is just shadow of her former self. A girl whose non stop chattering and laughter is life of their house, is no more so lively. She talks but don't chatter . She smiles but don't laugh. She is happy but no more carefree. Pakya starts driving car, Kapana is sitting beside him and Hiya and Neel are sitting at the back seat. After few moments, Hiya and neel fall asleep as they are exhausted.
Kalpana can sense that her dada wants to talk to her and she also wants to talk woth her dada.
Kalpana :Dada, if u on't mind can I say something to u?
Pakya : from when my kalpu starts taking my permission to say something?
Kalpana : Dada, please give some time to bhabhi, She needs you.
Pakya : You know Kalpana, I am thinking the same. if there is anyone else other than amrita, she
would have left me for ignoring her. I am very lucky that I got such an wonderful life partner.Amrita
is so understanding. I will try to be a good husband. Can I say u something?
Kalpana looks at her dada.
Pakya : Kalpu , you should get married.
Kalpana (in hurt voice) : Why can't a girl live alone? Why can't she lead her life in her own way?
Why does society considers her incomplete without marriage?
Pakya : Kalpu, don't misunderstand me. I know marriage is just a part of life and it does not
complete or incomplete life.But you can't deny that it is a beautiful relation . you had always
dreamed about marriage and family. You decided not to marry after Raghav's betrayal. But the pieces of your broken dreams will always pierce your heart and it will eventually effect Hiya and Neel's life. Your hesitation to trust and love will hamper Hiya and Neel. They will grow up with the
insecurities in which you are living. Kalpu if you don't want to marry, I will not force you to
marry, But please start to trust and live again. If anyone again break ur trust, It will be his/her
bad-luck as He/she does not deserve to be trusted. Be carefree for a moment like before and live that moment. Don't just smile but starts laughing again. Do you know Kalpana, I was not busy in these days for office works but I was taking a counselor's help to overcome my addiction to work as I realized that I am ignoring Amrita. We had suffered a lot ,Kalpu and I know your sufferings were far worse than ours but You have wonderful family and children and specially a most cute and sweet brother.
Saying so, Pakya winks at Kalpana.
Kalpana smiles seeing her dada. today She has seen her baba's glimpse in her dada. She leans her head on her dada's shoulder and self thinks I will give my life one more chance, I will think about marriage.
But It is said that whenever we plans something for ourselves, God laughs at our plans as he has already planned our lives in his own way. Kalpana is ready to marry again, Raghav believes that Kalpana is married but God has planned something different for them.
One week passed. Kalpana gets busy in her college project and she is shocked to learn that her
application for opening college is rejected without any proper reason. She and her NGO people decides to sit on dharna infront of Home minister's house. Kalpana and other people from her NGO set up their tent in-front of home minister's house. The officer who had rejected application convinces home minister that Kalpana's plan is unrealistic and stupid. He is angry on NGO as they did not give her money for approving their plan. He plants some anti social elements in the NGO crowd. Raghav who heard news of Kalpana's dharna comes to Home minister's house to talk with him. Raghav's car is about to enter in home minister's home when the planted anti social elements starts throwing stones on appointed police men. Kalpana tries to stop them but no avail. Seeing this Raghav comes out of car and moves toward the crowd to step them. police men get angry and starts beating NGO prople. Raghav tries to stop police men and three or four police men starts beating him. Raghav is lying on the floor and police men are beating him. Kalpana notices this, her heart sanks. She just runs toward Raghav and leans on him protecting him from policeman's beating. Raghav realizes a soft touch on him instead of beating and sees Kalpana protecting him like a shield. Police men are beating her blindly.
Tears are rolling down from Kalpana's eyes. Raghav holds her waist tightly and turns so that he can protect Kalpana. Kalpana is on ground and raghav is protecting her bearing beating on his back. Raghav is just staring kalpana's eyes. Today her eyes have been failed to hide her love, her care for him .Kalpana is feeling helpless as Raghav's hands trapped her and she is not able to protect her Raghav . Kalpana pleads Raghav not to bear this torture, she can't see him in pain. But raghav is too busy in staring her that he is not feeling anything. Kalpana gathers all her courage and Jerks off Raghav and again covers him bearing the strokes of cane on her back.
Media people gathers and police men come into their senses and stops their beating session. Kalpana and raghav are lying unconscious on the ground side by side.
