Chap 18 :
Kalpana is leaving from office when Mrs. Sharma reminds her that she has to attend the party of Mrs. Mehra.
Kalpana : Mrs. Sharma.. you know I don't attend parties. I have to complete some work of NGo. Then I have to go home. Neel and Hiya must be waiting for me.
Mrs. Sharma : Kalpana, Neel and Hiya have gone for camping and attending Mrs. Mehra's party will be beneficial for our NGO also. She really likes your work and personally invited u for the party. she wants to talk about our new college project.
Kalpana : But Mrs. sharma , we can handle this project ourselves.
Mrs. sharma : I know we can complete it by ourselves but association with Mrs. Mehra can help us in other projects. We do have funds but our projects are also expensive.
Kalpana : Thank u for reminding me and It is good that Mrs. Mehra also wants to contribute towards the society. Ok, I will attend the party and you are coming with me..
Mrs.Sharma : I would love to but Today is my anniversary and me and my husband want to spend some time alone
Kalpana : oh.. happy anniversary.. Mrs. Sharma
Mrs. Sharma : Thanx Kalpana.
After completing her work in NGO, Kalpana comes home and gets ready for the party.Amrita helps Kalpana to choose her dress for the party. Kalpana wears white salwar suit and accessories with diamond earrings and bracelet. Kalpana leaves for the party.
In party, Mrs. Mehra attends Kalpana and expresses her desire to work with her NGO. Someone calls Mrs. Mehra and she leaves saying Kalpana to enjoy herself. Kalpana is feeling bored as she does not like this type of parties. Kalpana is unaware of the fact that someone's eyes are following her everywhere. Raghav could not help himself from staring Kalpana. He is noticing her from the moment she entered into the party. Kalpana can feel someone's gaze on her but she could not see Raghav. Mrs. Mehra again joins Kalpana and asks her to have a drink. Kalpana politely refuses that she does not drink. Mrs. Mehra ask waiter to bring soft drink for Kalpana. Waiter comes with drinks and by mistake , kalpana takes glass of vodka. Kalpana starts drinking and finds it a lil bitter but she does not pay attention and finishes the drink. Vodka starts its affect on Kalpana and Kalpana starts feeling dizzy. Raghav notices Kalpana and understands that something is wrong with Kalpana. He rushes to her and sees a man is asking Kalpana for a dance and kalpana is not in her senses.Raghav asks the man to find another partner and takes Kalpana's hand.
Kalpana asks Raghav to leave her hand and struggles to free herself from Raghav's clutches.Raghav does not budge and takes her to his car and makes her sit on the front seat and he himself sits on the driver seat. Kalpana tries to goes out of Raghav's car when Raghav holds her hand saying - 'Please believe me kalpana, I will drop u home. You are not in your senses'. Kalpana smiles and says in her drunken state ' I was not in senses when I believed u. Let me go. I can take care of myself.'Raghav forcefully ties her seat-belt and starts driving the car. first few moments Kalpana keeps murmuring to leave her. Then the soothing breeze starts effecting her and she falls asleep resting her head on Raghav's shoulder.
Raghav is surprised to feel Kalpana's head on his shoulders and sees sleeping Kalpana. He can feel the breaths of Kalpana. He forgets his every worry, every thing. The sudden moments of closeness may not come again in his life. He does not want this journey to end. he wants to be selfish and Keeps his Kalpana with himself like this only. He knows Kalpana is married and he does not have any right on her but his heart is not ready to accept it. Suddenly in her sleep, Kalpana hits her hand to music system and Raghav hears the song playing in the FM

Raghav does not switch off the FM. It is Kalpana's favorite song and he looks at sleeping Kalpana. He remembers
Flashback :
Raghav and Kalpana are going somewhere in Raghav's car. raghav is playing some English songs on music system. Kalpana does not like it and starts playing FM on her mobile and puts her headphone in her ears. Suddenly she screams 'Wah'. she switches off car's music system and puts one headphone in Raghav's ear and says that it is my favorite song. After hearing the song, raghav asks Kalpana if this is ur favorite song. why did not u save it in your mobile?
Kalpana : I love this song and I want to hear it when I don't expect it. It will be a surprise for me
and I will enjoy the song more.
Raghav : R u mad? People keep the things near to them which they like.
Kalpana : I am mad but do u think I would have enjoyed it so much if I could play it according my
mood. and look at the bigger side, It is played on the FM when I am with u. we both listened the song together. Do you know Raghav it depicts trust and love in a relationship. I love u and trust u more than myself and I know you will support me in every step of my life no actually our life.
Kalpana's words of trust creates a strange feeling in Raghav's heart as he knows that he will break Kalpana's heart and trust soon . But he just shrugs of his uneasiness. His mind wins over his heart.
Flashback -end.
Raghav comes out of his memory and feels Kalpana's hairs on his face and he tucks Kalpana's hair behind her ear. Raghav stops his car. he wants to see his Kalpana more . He had spend 10 years of his life without seeing her, without hearing her voice. May be he will not get a chance like that. He just wants to live these moments, His Kalpana is infront of him, he does not want anything else. Raghav is about to cerras Kalpan's face and he remembers neel's words.Kalpana is now someone Else's wife. He does not have any right to touch her and he fists his hands in anger and starts driving the car.
Kalpana is sleeping peacefully on Raghav's shoulder being unaware of everything. Raghav drives to his home. After reaching to singhania mansion. he calls Pakhi and asks her to come out. Pakhi comes to Raghav's car and finds sleeping Kalpana.Raghav explains her everything and tells her to come with him so that they can drop Kalpana home. Pakhi sits at back seat and Raghav drives off for Kalpana's home.
Pakhi looks at Raghav and Kalpana together and self thinks 'You both look so good together. perfect for each other'. They reach at Kalpana's home and Pakhi calls Kamla Ma and informs her that she has come to drop Kalpana and Raghav is with her. Kamla asks the security guards to open the entrance and allow the car to enter. Kamla opens the main door of house silently. She knows Pakya will not like Raghav's presence. Raghav picks Kalpana in his arms and Follows Kamla Ma. Kamla leads him to Kalpana's room . Raghav puts Kalpana on her bed. He is about to leave when He notices Kalpana's room. He finds many photos of Kalpana with her family and children but he does not find a single photo of her husband and then he hears Kalpana's voice. Kalpana is murmuring in her sleep - ' I am sorry baba. He does not deserve any truth. He does not exist for us.'
Raghav leaves the room but he is sure Kalpana is talking about him only. He does not exist for the person whom he loves more than his life.
Next day, Kalpana wakes up and finds herself in her room and remembers previous night's incident - How Raghav put her in his car. How she struggled to come out of his car and then she remembers herself dozing off on Raghav's shoulder. She self thinks how could she sleep on shoulder of the person becoz of whom she had spent so many sleepless nights. She throws her pillow in anger. She goes to take bath and sits under shower. She let water flow on her so that she can wipe off Raghav's touch from her body.
on the other hand, Raghav is cherishing the moments he had spent with Kalpana. after a long time, he is feeling alive in real sense. and then he remembers her words and smile disappears from his face. If she would have been in her senses, she never sat on his car.
In camp, Trisha, Hiya and Neel are sitting and talking.
Trisha : Camping is a bad idea. I am getting bored and breakfast that they gave was yuck.
Hiya : Right, should not have forced mumma to send us in this boring camp.
Neel : I am missing mee. I could not sleep properly.
Trisha : Now what to do. I cant bear this torture any more.
Hiya : we should do something that mam will cancel the plan to stay one more day.
Neel : No, mee will get angry if she gets to know. I am calling mee to take us with her.
Trisha : Neel is right, I am going to call Dad to take me from here.
Hiya : Ok as you all say.
In Kalpana's home.
Kalpana is having her breakfast silently with her aai and bhabhi. Her dada had left early for some works.
Kalpana : aai, how did I come home yesterday?
Kamla : Raghav baba dropped u home. you were drunk.
Kalpana : aai, I am sorry. I did not drink purposefully.
Kamla : I know kalpi,you don't have to explain it to me.
Kalpana : Can I ask u something aai, do you still consider Raghav as your son?
Kamla : Truth will hurt u but yes I still consider him as my son and I always will.He had done
mistakes and he had hurt my daughter. But I knew the circumstances in which he brought up.Can I ask u something Kalpi? why don't u forgive Raghav baba?
Kalpana : He does not need my forgiveness. he does not exist for me.
Kamla : or you don't want to part away from his memories Kalpi? Are you afraid that if you forgive
him, you will be able to move on from these memories.
Kalpana : what are u saying aai? His memories only give me pain? why do I want pain for myself?
Kamla : because sometimes We accustomed to live with pain so that we get afraid to lose that pain also.
Before Kalpana could answer, her phone starts ringing.
Kalpana : Neel..Neel..r u alright..what .. I am coming ..just take care of yourself.
Kalpana leaves from there in haste.
and In singhania mansion,
Sammy receives Call from Trisha that she is not feeling well. Sammy is about to leave when Raghav asks him the reason and Sammy informs him about Trisha. Raghav also leaves with Sammy.
