Part 6:
Kalpana went back into her cabin and picked up a file. As she started writing on it, Paakhi came in. "Kya yaar, phir se kaam?" Paakhi asked, sitting across from her. Kalpana looked up at her best friend. "Paakhi, yahaan hum kaam karne hi aate hai." "I know yaar, but agar humme saara din yahi betaana hai toh kutch maze bhi kar hi lene chahiye na?" Paakhi asked. Kalpana shook her head and continued writing in her file. "Veise Paakhi.." Kalpana said. "Tumme kya kaam nahi hai ki tum humeisha mujhse baate karne aati rehti ho?" ""Voh.." Paakhi started when a message came on her phone. Sammy. "Kaam hai na, abhi aati hoon" Paakhi said eagerly jumping out of her chair and running out. Kalpana smiled and shook her head. Paakhi was so bright.
Paakhi knocked on Sammy's cabin. "Come in" he called out. She put on a smile and went in. "Sit" Sammy said, gesturing towards the chair. Paakhi nodded and sat down. "Yes?" she asked. "Did you complete that ABY file I gave you?" he asked her. "Almost finished" she replied. He nodded. "Okay, that's all I wanted to ask." Paakhi grinned. He could've just called her on the phone. "Veise.." Sammy said. "Raghav ne mujhe bataiya ki tum Hrithik Roshan ki kitni baddi fan ho." Paakhi blushed. "True" she said. "So.." Sammy said. "Kyun na hum usski film dekhne challe, iss weekend?" "That's a good idea" Paakhi said. "Maybe Kalpi and Raghav Sir should come as well" she added.
Sammy looked thoughtful. "Great idea" he said. "I'll talk to Kalpi about the plan" Paakhi said. "Alright" Sammy said.
"No" Kalpi said to Paakhi a few minutes later. "But why?" Paakhi asked her. "Ai won't agree" Kalpi said. "Especially with Aaji around, no ways." "Come on Kalpi don't be such a bore" Paakhi said. "Who says I want to be a bore?" Kalpi said. "Trust me I don't" Kalpana said. "But what can I do when my mom and Aaji don't let me do anything fun!" "You sure can" said a voice. Both the girls looked up to see who was talking. Raghav.
He came in and sat down next to Paakhi in front of Kalpi. "Sir, aap yahaan?" Kalpi asked. "Haan mein" Raghav said with a grin. "How about I ask your family about it?" Kalpana looked at Paakhi who was nodding excitingly. They would surely listen to Raghav. Kalpi shook her head. "No thank you, Sir. My family will allow me if I ask them." "But just now you said they wouldn't" Raghav said. Kalpi opened her mouth to protest when Paakhi said, "That's a great idea, Sir, why don't you come to her house today?" Kalpi shot a furious look to Paakhi who just shrugged. So that was the plan. Raghav would visit her house in the evening. All thanks to Paakhi.
After Kalpana was finished with her work, she immediately went home to ask Kamla for permission to go to the movies. So that Raghav wouldn't have to come.
Aaji had her hands on her hips. "Movies?" she asked her. "Nahi chodi, yeh kate nahi ho sakat!" "Ai, aap Aaji ko samjhaiye na" Kalpana pleaded her mother. "Kalpi..tumaari Aaji sahi toh keh rahi hai" Kamla told her. "Sun liya?" Aaji asked Kalpi. "Aaji, Paakhi ko bura lage ga" Kalpana said. "Toh?" Kamla asked. "Haan aur veise bhi" Aaji said. "Agar humme tumaare bura lagne se koi farak nahi parta toh yeh Paakhi kaun hai, huh?" "Aaji.." Kalpana said. "Aap kabhi toh kutch acha boliye." "Ab tu mujhe bolegi ki mujhe kya karna chahiye?" Aaji said. She took Kalpana's arm and dragged her off to her room. Pushing her onto her bed she locked the door and went out.
Kalpana started crying. She had only asked for their permission. It's not like she had already gone to the movies. So why were they still locking her up like she was a bride who was about to run away? Absolute nonsense.
Kalpi didn't know when she fell asleep. She woke up when she heard the doorbell ringing. She opened the window of her room which had bars on it.
Kamla got up and went to open the door. "Saab aap?" Kamla asked excitedly. She knew that Raghav was a famous actor. "Andar aiye" she told him. Raghav nodded and came in. While he sat down on the couch, Kamla asked, "Itne badde actor humaare ghar mein?"
Raghav smiled and said, "Shehd Kalpana ne aapko bataiya nahi lekeen mein usska boss hoon." "Kya?" Kamla asked, immediately standing up. "Ji" Raghav said. "Voh dikhaye nahi deh rahi?" "Voh apne kamre mein hai" Kamla said. "Mein abhi bula ke laati hoon." Raghav saw as Kamla shot Aaji a look. Aaji was to keep Raghav busy in talking so he didn't notice Kamla opening that huge lock hung up on Kalpi's door.
"Humaari Kalpi ne office mein kutch galat toh nahi kiya?" Aaji asked. "No, bilkul nahi" Raghav said, as he watched Kamla opening the lock with her key out of the corner of his eye.
When Kalpi came out along with Kamla he saw that she was looking sad. "Ji Raghav Baba bataiye" Kamla said. 'Vah' Raghav thought. 'Khud ki behti ke saath itna bura bartaav aur ek film actor ko Raghav Baba bulaa rahi hai.'
"Mein aap logo se ejaazat lene aaiya tha ki Kalpana humaare saath movie dekhne chal sakti hai?" he asked. "Na-" Aaji started, but Kamla interrupted her, "Bilkul, Raghav Baba issme kya hai?" "Okay, mein baar intezaar karunga" he said. Kamla nodded as Raghav went out. "Ja get ready!" Kamla ordered Kalpi once Raghav had gone out. "Lekeen Kamla" Aaji started. "Yeh chodi keise.." "Aapne suna nahi, Ma Ji ki voh Kalpana ka boss hai?" Kamla told her. "Agar hum na karte toh keise lagte?" Aaji nodded understandingly. "Ab go get ready!" Kamla told Kalpi.
Kalpana was in tears as she got ready. Raghav had asked once and her family had agreed. She had been pleading for an hour and they wouldn't agree. Why couldn't her family listen to her?
Raghav's Car:
"Paakhi aur Sammy hum se theater mein milege" Raghav told Kalpi. She nodded while trying to control her tears. She was still a little sad. Raghav noticed this and said, "Relax, Kalpana." "I am relaxed, sir" Kalpana said. "Right" Raghav said. "Veise.." Kalpi said. "Aap actor keise banne?" "Mein?" Raghav asked. Kalpana nodded, "Haan." "I've always been interested in becoming one" Raghav told her. "And after college I went straight to fulfill that dream." "Nice" Kalpana said with a smile. "Music?" he asked her. She nodded. They both reached for the play button when their hands bumped into each other. "Sorry" Raghav said with a smile. "It's okay" Kalpi said bringing her hand back. Raghav pressed the play button and the song 'Tum Hi Ho' came on. He looked towards Kalpi to see her reaction. She was blushing and looking down at her hands.😳
'She looks so pretty and cute. So innocent' Raghav thought to himself as he gazed at her. 'Am I falling for her?' he asked himself. He grinned. He had always thought he would fall in love with an actress but now he was falling in love with a to-be-actress. Ah..life didn't always turn out as planned, did it...?
Precap: Kamla invites Sammy, Paakhi, and Raghav in for dinner. Raghav explores Kalpi's room in interest.
