Chapter 32
Mehndi Continuation
Kamla senses a bit partiality between Raghav and Kalpana but brushes it off as Shaadi environment.
Kamla POV: No, I promised Kalpi after Rahul misunderstanding I will trust her and ask instead of jumping to conclusions. Let this wedding happen at peace.
Kalpi watches in jealousy as Raghav is dragged by Rahul to dance with random girls for a bhangra number...
K POV: Here I am putting henna on his name and starving; there he is enjoying with other girls...hmpp...I will show this Ziddi, how stubborn I am...She takes Mehndi and eye talks with Raghav to follow her to rooftop.
R POV: Oh my lucky day! Kalpi is being valiant and signaling me to come up!
He follows Kalpi while asking Rahul to distract Prakash...
Rooftop
K(glaring): Done dancing with those girls...Finally had time for me...Oh My, you are like this now...how about after marriage...you would be a two timer...
R(silently hearing his rant) comes closer places his hands on her waist, "I love you jealous Mrs. Cavewoman."
Kalpi requests Raghav to close his eyes and he is wearing a shirt with open button, she takes Mendi cone and writes Kalpi on his chest.
Raghav feels cold and wet on his chest and wonders that can't be his Kalpi's lips and opens only to find a grinning Kalpi.
K: There you go, my property.
Raghav is so happy to see her like this, he would have dressed as a baby just to see her like this.
Raghav pulls Kalpi closer, hugs her tight and whispers, "always and forever yours as you are mine!". Kalpi and Raghav s hearts are racing. Raghav then breaks the hug, pulls her chin towards him so as to look into her eyes which are drooping in anticipation of a kiss. Raghav kisses her lips from one end to another into finally plunging his tongue in her wet, warm mouth. Kalpi soon realizes people will ponder where they are and they return to the celebration.
Next Morning at SaKhi's place
Sammy: Baby, let's go I will leave you at Kamla ma's place. Your mood swings are going haywire.
Paakhi: Whattt? This is your fault! You don't get to complain...I want to eat papaya and pepsi.
S: That is the most disgusting combination and in pregnancy, no papaya.
P: You are so inconsiderate...she starts sobbing. "I'm so sorry, it is just I feel so ugly and fat. I'm 6 months pregnant and none of my clothes fit... I know you rubbed my feet and tummy last night...I love you".
S POV: Why God Why...women are already dramatic and you made them have mood swings on top...I will go crazy...If I tell her I love her, she hates me...I say I'm tired, she is like I love you!

Kamla: Kalpi, don't you want to go to office and come early today. Sangeet is today and Paakhi is coming now, so I will need all the help necessary.
Kalpi: Okay Aii, I will ask Rahul to come early too. He will give a hand and he has to leave tomorrow.
Raghav is outside chawl to pick up Kalpi.

K: You didn't need to pick me, I could have come on my own.
R: Yes, but as your future husband...I'm getting in the role.
Kalpi shakes her head...
K: You just missed the turn to office.
R: Kalpi, I told you I want to make things special for you until we get engaged. We are going to learn Salsa dancing. Mom told me you liked to dance as a kid but... I mean even today, you dance as gracefully as a swan.
K: Nice save hehe, you should have seen your face! It is okay and thank you...I am so lucky to have you in my life. Never change!
R: Yes madam!
Salsa Class
K POV: Out of all the dances in the world he would pick such a sensual dance form.
Raghav and Kalpi hardly needed the trainers to correct their stance; mostly due to their jealously for allowing the partners to switch. Raghav and Kalpi had a sensual lesson where they learned to trust each other in the turns and lifts. They both had so much passion and emotion that the trainers praised them and recommended them to join dance.
Kalpi asks Raghav if they can leave since she wants to help aii out and asks him to come along with Ma after dropping her.
Sangeet
All the sangeet preparations are done until one of the dhol performers cancel on last minute. Kalpi assures everyone she will see to the problem and Raghav jumps at the opportunity to offer her the ride. Sammy insists that her and Paakhi will tag along since a lot of people could be claustrophobic for the baby.
Prem pays the dhol people to cancel at last minute to casue havoc. Accoring to his plan, Kalpi and Raghav fell for the trick.
P POV: That is it...goodbye! My ultimate revenge...your deaths; this is why you don't mess with the Kapoors. Go laughing in the car, the breaks are failed!
Prem doesn't know Sammy and Paakhi joined them in the car.
Car
K: Raghav, please drive a bit slow, there is no rush. I'm sure there is a misunderstanding.
R(tight frown): Ummm. We have a problem
S: What?
R: The breaks are not working.
Paakhi is crying...Omg...my baby...my baby...Sammy is cooing Paakhi, all will be well.
Kalpi asks him to drive along the road and directs Raghav to a farm close by. She calls the farm people and asks them to call an ambulance and explains their situation.
K: Paakhi, when I say open, you have to jump...Your baby will be fine. There are paramedics waiting. Sammy you too fall on the other side, they got some padding on the other end.
S: What about you guys?
R: Kalpi, you jump along with Paakhi.
K: Nope, we will make a U-turn and then follow...
R: you won't get the most padded landind and I'm not willing to risk your life...
Kalpi holds Raghav's hand, I will be fine if you are fine!
K: Get ready! Jump!!
SaKhi jump and Raghav wants to make a U turn but car goes out of control. Kalpi jumps on Raghav protecting him from any harm.
R: KALPI...Help please...someone...God.
Kalpi is unconscious from the blow and something deep pressing against her stomach. There is blood everywhere, Kalpi's blood...Raghav breaks open the door and with one good arm gets his Kalpi out of car while pressing on her wound so she doesn't lose more blood.
Next thing Raghav knows is he is in hospital, crying, broken. Paakhi and Kalpi are in OR. Sammy and Raghav had numerous cuts and burns physically but mentally they were more scared about their other half to acknowledge any pain. Rahul, Kamla, Vitthal, Pakhya, Gauri and Amrita too were worried sick to their stomachs wondering what is happening and praying for both of them.
Prem gets to know about Paakhi is undergoing surgery because of the accident and regrets what he did.
Kamla: Sammy, you shouldn't have taken Paakhi...See what happened. Whose idea was it to jump from moving car?
S(ashamed): Kamla Ma, Kalpi's plan was full proof and doctors got to her too. Please don't worry, I know she will be fine...I know it.
Raghav POV: Here, we told her about Kapi's courage, her intelligence and she is doubting her...Kalpi...saved me...Idiot...doesn't she know if something...I will die Kalpi...You need to be okay for me...for me to believe.
Rahul POV: My best friend...Please God...she is my family...my mother, sister, my support system...please don't take her away from me...Please
G POV: What a shame...you are blinded in Paakhi's love you can't see through what my Kalpi did...my heart goes out for her. I bet if Kalpi makes it out before Paakhi, Kamla will blame Kalpi for all.
G: Kamla, Please stop in the name of God. Kalpi saved everyone's life but hers...did you miss out on the part on how she saved Raghav's life before seconding hers...How she made sure ambulance reached Paakhi first...If anything you should be thanking Kalpi to stay calm in such situation and think logically.
Vitthal and Paakhya numb in front of mandir praying for his daughter's safe return.
Doctor from Paakhi's OR comes outside and tells everyone that Paakhi is out of danger and baby is stabilized for now but they need to keep a close look out for both mother and baby.
Everyone sighs halfheartedly in relief since Kalpi is still in OR. The doctor from Kalpi's OR soon after rushes out.
Raghav: How is she? How is Kalpi? Please Doctor?
Doctor: We are trying our best...she is a fighter but she is very low on blood and unfortunately we ran out of her blood group. I came outside to ask if anyone has her blood group (O -) .
Vitthal jumps on hearing this..."Doctor sir, Kamla has it...she has the blood group...She will donate her blood for her daughter. Kamla is numb after hearing this.
