So without further ado, let me bring to you the next part.
CHAPTER 1: THE GAME OF FATE.
Pakhi to Kalpi: "Since the day I started to understand the workings of this society and it's nature, I always felt that I have wronged you in more ways than one. I tried distancing myself from Kamla Ma because I thought I took away your mother when you needed her the most. But today, I feel you deserve it. You DESERVE being abandoned by your mother."
Kamla Ma interrupts "Pakhi Beta, yeh kya ho gaya hai tujhe! Why are you saying all this. What has happened? What made you slap Kalpi?"
Pakhi hissed around in anger, she caught hold of Kamla Maa and hissed, "Today I am going to show you what your daughter actually is. Today I am going to reveal her true, conniving face in front of you."
Kamla Ma, Kalpi, Vitthal were perplexed, they could not understand Pakhi's turn of behavior towards Kalpi.
Pakhi continued. She stepped closer to Kalpi and calmly asked her, "What kind of a relationship do you and Raghav share?"
Kalpi was taken aback. Kamla Maa's eyes widened in horror and Vitthal was left speechless. Kalpi was dumbfounded. She could not fathom the answer to the question.
"Answer me Kalpi. Are you both just in a cordial professional relationship- that of a boss and an employee... or is your relationship more deeper?"
Every person in the chawl was attentively listening to every word Pakhi had spoken. This was their late night entertainment show. Kalpi composed herself and got up to her feet. She didn't need to answer any question. She wiped the tears off her face and started to leave, when Pakhi caught hold of her and spun her around.
She demanded, "Answer me Kalpi. I need an explanation."
Kalpana finally spoke up, "I don't owe you any explanation. I don't have anything to explain to you. You are nobody to me. Your questions hold no importance to me."
Pakhi turned around to Kamla Maa and said, "Kalpi will not answer, I don't expect her to confess everything in one go. But you know how much this explanation means to me. You knew about my feelings towards Raghav. I confessed everything to you. You knew hoe madly I am in love with Raghav. Trust me Kamla Ma, if I wasn't so sure of what I am saying I would have never come here."
Pakhi's words shocked Kalpi. She didn't even have the slightest idea of Pakhi's feelings towards Raghav. She remembered the pen fiasco from her childhood, but had ignored it thinking it was some childhood jealousy of that age. Kalpi's mind blanked out. She knew what was next for her. There was no way that she could convince her Aayi about the feelings Raghav and she shared.
**She had lost the battle even before it started. Her fate had played its cruel game and she knew she was going to lose everything tonight.**
