Kalpana decided to cancel her leave and join office from the next day as she was feeling too lonely at home; of course a part of her is missing Khadoos Singhania as well. However harsh he was, she always enjoyed his presence...he never failed to bring best out of her in the worst possible ways; they share a love & hate relationship. She couldn't wait for the night to melt to catch a glimpse of Mr. Attitude King, though she is almost sure of his welcoming taunts, she is not comfortable to think on those lines after seeing his genuine concern
Next day she was welcomed to the office with unexpected good news. Quarterly appraisal report of the interns has come and she felt extremely happy with the feedback, her work was generously appreciated by everyone in the office and to her utter shock appraisal was done by the great Raghav Singhania. Her happiness found no bounds seeing his insightful feedback and she was genuinely surprised; she wasn't expecting Raghav to evaluate her work and give brilliant feedback. She looked for Raghav to thank him and found he is off to some meeting. In the process she jumped in to Ramu; she took flowers from him and started decorating his cabin
Raghav's meeting got cancelled and on the way to office he bumped into Pakhi at the parking much to his irritation. Though he wanted to use her against Kapoors, he always failed to maintain the lovey-dovey charade in front of her. He came to the office in the worst mood and surprised to see Kalpi in his cabin arranging flowers. For a moment he couldn't believe she is actually there...he wasn't not expecting her back to work so soon. Initially he thought she is figment of his imagination as lately he is doing that more often and stood agape but his trance was broken by her words bringing him back to reality. He quickly pulled his arrogant faade..."Ms. Jadhav what are doing in my cabin", he asked sternly. "Sir I was arranging flowers" she replied. "I guess we appointed you as intern not as florist" he snapped and continued "we have allocated staff accordingly, so just do your job properly and rest assured". She apologized and turned to leave his cabin but stopped in tracks hearing his voice. "Ms. Jadhav I have a piece of advice for you, I know you are ambitious and want to make big in life" he looked at her and continued "mark my words...change yourselves, change your life style and change everything that shows your status in the society. Conduct yourselves according to your job and don't indulge into others work or else you'd never be able to reach new heights" he said calmly. "Sir I don't think I have to..." he cut her words harshly pointing to the flowers she kept in the water bowl "you arranged these flowers right?? Do you know anything about my tastes...who the hell gave you permission to arrange my cabin with the cheap flowers, they don't have any beauty or class" he spoke angrily taking the flowers out of the bowl and went to throw them in the trash can.
Kalpi quickly stopped him and took the flowers from his hand; he stared at her expecting her to spit out. "Sir have you ever heard of saying that beauty lies in the beholders eyes...beauty is not in these flowers but in you, your eyes see what your heart and mind guides them to see and thanks for the advice Sir, I don't need it" she said calmly. "And you are right Sir, I am ambitious and have big dreams but I want to pursue them by being what I am not by faking something I am not; I love my roots and not ashamed of the insults and taunts thrown on my face as they always remind me from where I have started...that is my impetus. And Sir, what is the use of success when I fail to identify with it after accomplishing, how will I enjoy the destination when journey itself fails to inspire me" she said looking at him. Raghav was lost in her sparkling eyes and most of her words fell on his deaf ears. Sir, she called him again, he jolted back to reality. "hmmm...Miss.Jadhav...he struggled for words. She bailed him out saying "I am sorry sir, I shouldn't have encroached into your personal space" and left the room. Raghav looked at her retreating form with awe and admiration..."gosh this girl has attitude to match with me to hilt" he smirked fondly, though he still couldn't not believe Kalpi giving calm & composed reply. "Did Kalpi give up her fighting spirit, she can't be so calm after taking all the crap I have thrown at her", he thought. "He has always seen her standing up for self respect giving back solid replies no matter who the person is...but what is different today?? he sighted. Kalpi herself was surprised with the calmness she exhibited in front of Raghav...did it has something to do with her strange attraction or just out of gratitude for his concern, she couldn't decide.
First half of the day passed pretty quickly and quietly; during lunch time Kalpi remembered about the Prasad her Aai gave for Khadoos Singhania...not wanting to disobey her Aai words she went to his cabin. "Sir, aai has sent Siddi Vinayak Prasad for you", Kalpi offered him. "hmmm...I don't believe in god, don't mind take it away" Raghav said wryly. Kalpi cursed herself for getting into this..."if not for Aai I would never give him anything, let alone Prasad" she murmured. "Did you say anything" he asked. "No Sir, she said and continued "Sir Aai told me to make sure you eat the Prasad". Raghav gave the same answer a bit sternly. Kalpi is not the one who gives up so easily; "sir take this Prasad as elders blessing and eat it assuming it as a sweet, so simple" she left his cabin leaving behind Prasad and shocked Raghav. Hearing her answer his lips twirled into smirk, "this girl won't take No for answer...she indeed has the ability to put her point fluidly making the acceptance obvious" he sighed, remembering the similar incident happened on the 2nd day of their internship. On the 2nd day of internship - Raghav went to catch a glimpse of Kalpi before starting the daily routine and waited at her bus stop to see her. He saw her walking with Vitthal with gloomy face; after seeing Kamala getting down from Kapoor's car he understood Kalpi's sadness has something to do with Pakhi & Kamala. Later in the office Pakhi barged into his cabin without knocking. Though Raghav was very irritated, he maintained his cool and asked the reason to disturb him. She offered him Prasad sent by Kamala Bai and gave him long lecture on importance of god, Prasad, her kamala maa when he rejected to take that. Raghav was indeed pissed off seeing the gloomy face of Kalpi and the sight of Prasad doubled his anger as Kalpi's gloomy face again flashed in front of his eyes. Even his reverence for Kamala didn't bend him to accept the Prasad that day, even today seeing Prasad he got irritated thinking kamala and Pakhi might have went to temple
He jolted back to reality and checked on Kalpi from CCTV monitor, the girl is franticly working on system and turned to see Pakhi who is lost in some thoughts with a dreamy look etched on her face. Raghav couldn't help to compare the two girls who are strikingly different in everything though raised by the same woman. Kalpi is a simple girl, mature, composed, hardworking, practical, intelligent and fiercely independent who keeps self respect and family ahead of everything. And Pakhi is a cheerful, carefree, dependent, sophisticated girl with streak of jealousy and keeps her self interest ahead of everything. "Damn it Raghav what are you doing, wasting time thinking about those two stupid girls... If your done with the thesis, get back to your work...concentrate on Pakhi; she'll help you to reach Kapoor's emotionally" he slammed himself.
Phew...this is too boring even to read, you are free to throw anything except sade ande ( hmm being repetitive here lol)
