Next part.I think dis is gonna be a three part OS😃

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Virat touched the steering wheel of his jeep. He was glad to see it again, as he thought he never would. He jumped inside casually and started the engine. Perfect. Time had not changed anything, or maybe he had to thank his bhai for the good condition of his jeep. . He was on his way to Chandigarh. He had replied to his bhai's text with just three words "I am coming". Immediately Viren had called him but Virat cut the call, not ready to talk yet. While waiting at the airport for his flight to arrive he had texted Viren the details about his flight and also warned him not to come to the airport to receive him. He wanted to keep his arrival a surprise and asked Viren to send his jeep. And on reaching Chandigarh his jeep had awaited him. With no one with it other than a driver. He was pretty sure that his Bhai had kept his arrival a secret too. Running away did have its advantages. After sending away the driver he had gladly got inside.

The Vadhera mansion was a half-an-hour drive from the airport. And somewhere in between the journey memories of a particular person caught up to him. He had driven his jeep all the way to Hrishikesh for her. "deewana me chala'".Ya right.Love was indeed blind. He had cared for her more than himself .He still wondered why she had acted the way she did. A simple no would have been enough right?

Had she wanted to punish him for something? Had she wanted him to suffer all his life? If she had then she should be very happy now. She had succeeded in a way, as he still felt his heart burn at the thought of her. Her laugh. He needed to stop this burn. She didn't deserve this victory. He wouldn't give her the sick satisfaction of ruining him.

As if an answer to his silent plea he felt drops of water touch him. It was raining. He turned on the vipers of his car wishing that this rain could soothe the fire that raged inside him. He noticed the fresh smell of earth as the raindrops wet them. It hadn't rained in a while.

He wondered what his family's reaction would be when he suddenly reappeared in front of them after his self imposed exile. He hoped Swamini Bua wouldn't rush to hold one of her society parties. He knew that whatever happens she wouldn't change. But he also knew that however she had behaved towards him she did love him.In a strange way.

Dadaji might give him some cold treatment. His anger toward him might be for leaving without any warning. Dadaji must have worried about him. But Virat also knew that he might not accept that he had been worried about Virat, and instead blame him for the bad name their family might have earned for having a run-away as its member. He smirked. His dadaji never really learnt how to show love.

His Chachu and Chachi will be very happy and Chachi might even quote a dialogue or situation from her favorite movie. He hoped that his Chachu had become more successful than he was when Virat had left. But he wasn't much worried. After all they had finally managed to convince Dadaji'They..Maanvi again..Why did all his memories include her in one way or another? That chapter was over and the time had come for him to accept it and move on. He had to think of something else..He had always thought that his chachi was the most innocent among all the family members. He loved her for not changing herself even under Swamini bua's eagle eyes. It was not as if Bua didn't try but she was never successful.

Then he thought of his mother. He knew that even though he wasn't there his bhai would take care of her. Maybe even better than he ever could. But he liked to think that he shared a special relationship with her, that he was closer to her. To him she was the only person in the house other than Viren who thought him to be as capable or more simply put, as 'good' as his bhai. He was never jealous of his brother, knowing that he deserved it but still it felt good to be appreciated. When their father had died he was just an infant. His bhai was taken care of by Swamini bua thus leaving him to gain the full attention of his mother. Sometimes he felt as if his mother wished that his bhai was more close to her. He hoped that his absence had fulfilled her wish.

Bhai. He was much more than a bhai to him. A father, a friend and more importantly his support system. Even during childhood his bhai had often proved how much he loved and cared for Virat. Viren, who was the perfect child often used to admit to mistakes that were not his,but Virat's. His usually calm and peaceful brother would even get into fights for him during their teenage years. As the both of them grew older they became more sensible but the fact still remained that Viren would do anything for his little brother Virat. He was the only one who had known about his'.love for Maanvi. And he was the one who told Virat to follow his heart. To get his love. Virat wondered whether he figured out why he had left.

He knew the news of his arrival would reach Hrishikesh too. He loved her family. If someone had asked him 2 years ago, he would have said without doubt that the feeling was mutual but he wasn't sure about anything anymore. He wondered if they would come to visit him. He wasn't sure if he was looking forward to it. If Maanvi came with Manan'.He wished that silence would swallow his thoughts.

The rain was making it increasingly difficult for him to concentrate on his driving now. Everywhere around him people seemed to be rushing for cover from the brutal rain drops. Suddenly he saw someone at the roadside. That person held out his/her hand signaling that he or she wanted a lift. Virat stopped his jeep and looked out to see who it was. His eyes widened in shock.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Maanvi curled up under her bedspread and buried her head into the pillow. She felt safe there. She wondered whether she should go back to Hrishikesh. She must have become a burden for them by now. For the past 2 years she had an excuse for staying here. Cancer. But now she was better. She didn't know if she could leave the house. She had lived all this time only with the hope that Virat would come back for her. Everything around her reminded her of one thing or the other about him. They comforted her that she hadn't imagined all those wonderful moments with him.

The sound of water drops hitting her window pane made her look up. Sunlight still lingered but rain had joined it. She was sure that everything looked beautiful now. The rain drops catching the sunlight was a promising concept. But she didn't find in herself the curiosity to walk towards the window and look out. She saw her face on the windowpane. The raindrops sliding down stood for all the tears that she cried for him. The treatment had taken its toll on her looks and she knew it. But she knew that he wouldn't care. She knew him.

So she couldn't leave. What if he came back and no one told her? She wanted to apologize, tell him that she loved him, loves him, and will always love him. She wanted to tell him about all the pain that she had suffered, both mental and physical. She wanted him to gather her in his arms and tell her that everything is going to be alright. No' No she couldn't leave.

The slightly unbalanced edge to her thoughts didn't go unnoticed by her. But she couldn't stop herself. It was plain to her and maybe everyone who met her. She was desperate.

She didn't want to lose control. She had to remain hopeful without going overboard. She sighed and slowly sat up on her bed. She closed her eyes and tried imagine Virat. The Virat before she broke him. To her horror she realized that she couldn't think of him as he was. When she thought of him she could only see that heartbroken expression on his face.

She gasped. She got up in a flash and ran to the door. She swung it open and raced through the corridor. On the way she banged into the one of the waiter-Chef's that Swamini Bua had arranged. She barely looked at him. She shouted an apology and left leaving him to pick up the broken plate. Mentally she promised herself to apologize to him later.

She finally reached Virat's room. Although memories of him were intensely appreciated she never had the guts to set foot in his room. But it was necessary for her now. She opened the door and surveyed the room. From what she saw she assumed that nobody had messed with his room in his absence. It was pretty much left the way it was. The dusty table tops showed that. Nobody had even dared to take away his punching bag. She also saw his guitar placed carelessly on the side of his bed. She looked more carefully. Was the punching bag moving? And the guitar's strings seemed to vibrate as if someone had just let go of them. No doubt a figment of her imagination. But it seemed as if this room still had Virat in it. She could imagine him now. Her purpose of visiting his room was fulfilled.

She turned around to leave and banged into someone. She opened her mouth to shout but that someone covered her mouth just in time.
