Hai everyone...i am a silent reader...but since my fav. Show is coming to an end, thought to make a post...on the above topic!!!!!
your point of view okay, but do bear in mind others having opposing views. always happens.

Everybody here are not agreeing to the fact dat dev saves durga becoz she should only end him...kk..its fine...till now we have seen durga as a mind game player only!!!!!!thats why she is able to give it back to sakshi always!!!!I dont understand why people are disappointed with dev savig durga becoz she is a woman at d end and she will not have strength to resist a beast like shaurya...i am not saying that women are strenght less they are more strenghty when it comes to will power but not in showing pasubal...afterall sakshi grewup with her buddibal only...
i personally want durga to overcome 'the beast' shaurya because her main issue is with him. he attacked her sister horribly and this is her personal battle. Dev can help yes, but he has not always been successful, the earlier episodes she got so much done without him and could have continued but did not and suddenly became weak. Why such a transformation of a character being advertised as a strong, independent woman? i want durga to avenge her sister for her sister and herself. no body else. for justice and if the show started with her then it should end with her. else they ought not to have named it ek hasina thi, never used the idea of gaining justice against corrupt people and never used the name Durga - synonymous with feminine power 'physically' overcoming evil.
also women can be strong physically and mentally like men. both are capable to all emotions. the only place they are different is just reproduction in my opinion. some can beat up men - there are male and female abusers alike! - and some men cannot. equal.
in durga's case she has already managed to spend time with shaurya and get away and she can do it again but only if her character is written like that. her character was changed for the worse. it is so different from the original now you wonder if it is the same person.

May bemany people dont agree with my pov...and say that just to show dev as hero they are doing this...i didnt find him awkward in d show...many people has negative opinion on him i dont know why may be he isnt handsome like vatsal or smthg...
can't comment on this as i don't find either 'handsome'. it all depends on one's criteria.
he always added the much needed positivity in d show acc to me!!!!!!I loved his acting too...passing very bitter comments abt him is not done!!!!!
this show is a grey show, where many difficult and negative themes are attempted to be portrayed. i don't think it was intended to be positive, most thrillers are not.
you can enjoy his acting, you are allowed, but one person will see an actor's acting as great, another will see it as terrible. sometimes a role is just not right for an actor and they don't express it properly. nothing wrong with that but it will be pointed out by someone.

Bashing allowed becoz i know many dont agree with me...but just i want to keep up my POV!!!!
okay then...you are allowed your point of view as i said before but do bear in mind some people will also be vocal about their own.

Duniya kahan ki kahan pahuch gayi and it seems some people have thoughts that a woman needs a man's support. TM, Durga can carry this show on her shoulders without Dev's support. Women can prove themselves to be independent and there are gazillions of cases where you can study about this. Durga can self-defense herself; like Anu said, there are self-defensive classes but she can also go on internet to learn about how to self-defend herself. Regarding criticism of Bhuvnesh, like others said its his acting, not his looks. How he emotes himself as Dev is more important; his acting ability is similarly analyzed as his co-stars acting are.

As Anu said I am a Devga fan and I believe in equitable relationship also. Durga the name of the heroine here is linked to that of Goddess Durga. The title track " Prachanda Shakthi Shalini" treats her as the embodiment of feminine power.
If you know mythology even a little bit understand that it is Goddess Durga who kills the demon Mahishasur. She is given power and support by other Gods but the actual slaying she does after a severe fight with the demon.
So if the theme of the show needs to be adhered to Durga has to defeat Shaurya. He is her target. Dev can be her support system. I am fine with Dev taking down Raj or Sakshi thus peeling of Shaurya's protective system isolating him.
I am even fine just as Durga is about to kill Shaurya, he stops her from killing the demon telling her , her life should not be in jail for killing this beast but should be with him and then makes police takes away Shaurya.
But the defeat of Shaurya has to happen from Durga's hand not izzat bachao drama.

Shrutiravi explained it well.
We watch shows to feel inspired. Especially a heroine like Durga can be inspiration for girls to be strong and vigilant. This is why she gained popularity as she was different! If she also falls prey and screams and only hero saves her then what is inspirational about it?

We have already had flashback of helpless Payal repeated again and again. Why can we not have new changed reality of a woman who has learnt to fight for herself? To show how tables have turned?

In my opinion that would have been a powerful comment. Just like Kajol is first brutally raped and killed in Dushman but her twin sister who was earlier afraid, finally fought head on with the rapist. Though hero had come in end of the fight bringing police and ending it all. But that transition in story, that transformation in character was a great message. This is why that film won awards. Victim's family fought the most feared serial rapist.

Why then can EHT not do same? Why does it have to condone that aurat has only buddhibal but no bahubal? Lastly, even clever use of buddhibal can make a heroine save herself.

Else Durga should never have taken up the fight if she was not equipped to play with fire without taking caution against burn!

what exactly strength and courage means??..is strength is all about physical stability?? if then i want to say only strength is not the fact brain is also needed to save own-self or others..well i think who is able to play such game with goenka's she has enough strength and brain to save own-self alone..just cause she is women she need man's support is just sick thought yrrr...i mean seriously yrr you need to move on ""women are just not support case they should support others too as well keep herself save too""...

Since childhood my father has told us sisters the real story of the girl who warded off her rapist by using her fingers to gouge his eyes.
And the morale of the story was a woman is never helpless. What she only needs is presence of mind.
The CVs have shown Durga having that in tons. Even if she has not learnt judo or karate, she can use something like a vase or statue to bash his head, make him trip, a fruit knife etc.etc.

Every woman who protects herself is not a judo expert. They simply have courage and common sense.

Durga should also be shown expecting some sort of vicious attack by the Goenkas and be mentally and physically prepared. U don't bait a snake without expecting to be bitten. So the taken by surprise element should also not be there.

Therefore it would be perfectly possible and plausible for Durga to be shown protecting herself from Shaurya.

I was kind of expecting a post like this!!!!why do u think women cant tackle people messing with them??women r nt brn nly to handle the cumbersome load of their families, kids etc etc.they lso hv strength to fight back in the most oddest of situations.hese daily soaps in the mission of showing an ideal man end up making their heroines mere show-pieces.nd physicsl strenght is nt the nly factor tht works my dear!!nd in this this story it was durga who started the battle durga had tackled shaurya so well at such unsafe locations nd now suddenly this!!u agree or not tjis an just a way to make dev the hero.yup dev is a +ve character bt wht has he done till now other thn making sm "so called plans" which failed big time.it was nitya's fight fr her sister nd it was she who shld hv ended it not dev.i personally feel tht after introducing dev though their main motive was to show dev as the loveinterest od durga/nitya bt other than tht they cldnt reakly fit him into the scenario nd thts why they decided to make him the hero.u knw wht the biggest problem is??its nt tht women cant fight back its just tht they r themselves nt aware of their strength!!nd those protests, rallies cant do nething untill women r not acknowledged of their own strength.they r considered goddess nd they shld know why??they shld stop being complaisant nd fight back.i thought durga would be an inspiration to women but all in vain!!she has been shown as an embodiment of goddess durga throughou the show then wht happened now??goddess durga had destroyed the evil which even the male cldnt nd they will end the show like this-showind durga weak!!

And one more thing to whoever started this post. Do you know the name Nithya/Durga stands for the same the deity and 2 forms of her. A woman is Nithya or constructive force to the man who respects and values her and she is Durga the destructive power to the man who uses her.
If the love, respect and value Dev gave to Nithya has taken him to the position of Chairman of Goenka group( It is very well shown in EHT that it is because of Nithya and what happened to her family that has made Dev break many barriers. Though he ends up in jail the woman he has loved and respected never leaves and becomes the reason to get him out and finally position him where he truly belongs). So if Dev is shown getting the benefit of the constructive power of the woman Shaurya has to face the real power of a woman.
Shaurya has used woman throughout his life as playthings. To be used and thrown. He doesn't value his mother who has protected him all along. Uses her also. He doesn't value his sister. He is fine to use her as a bait for his dad getting power. So this man needs to know what a woman is capable of. He needs to face her in the most destructive form as Durga. He needs to know the power a woman posses if she decides to retaliate. He needs to understand and not only he men who think woman's silence as mark of weakness the fact that her silence is not weakness, her bearing insults and taunts is not because of weakness it is because she is a nurturer and protector in first place and believes to give her energy in conservation than in destruction. But if she decide to destroy then maybe Gods even cannot save the target of her destruction.
If that message has to come Durga has to defeat Shaurya.

One more thing since the person who started this post has mentioned about the physical power of men I want to tell one more thing why I like the character Dev irrespective of the flaws and bloopers CVs have made
It is not because he does some street fighting it is because
- Dev never once has suggested marriage of Payal and Shaurya as the remedy to rectify the damage caused by rape. He was trying to collect proof and from the moment he knew rape happened he was always for sending Shaurya to jail
- He respects the woman in his life. Attached to his mom. Values his friendship with Nithya. Willing to let go of power for his sister's life
- When he knows Durga is Nithya accepts her for what she knowing fully well she has used deviant methods to claim justice for her sister. Completely understanding why she is doing what she is doing
- Rather than imposing his love on her gives her space and allows her to be herself
- Respects her qualifications and decision making abilities by making her a board member
So a man doesn't rise in a woman's eyes with izzat bachao drama. The real respect he gets from a woman is because of his sensitivity, understanding the fact that his better half is also an individual with her own aspirations and respecting those. And believe me only men who are secure with themselves can do it.
