I agree with xoxoly Sakshi has many shades, I love her character but I still think she is technically the villain of the show.

We can see he hates it when they overrule him plus he has no real affection for them if Durga strokes his ego making him believe he will benefit from backstabbing them he probably will. I've always thought Sakshi was more like Cersei from Game of Thrones a woman obbessed with power and her one weekness was her worthless brat of a son Joffrey.

Love your observation, Durga can also portray lady Macbeth, and everyone else who doesn't find sakshi and lady Macbeth similar, you guys are also right because saksh is more of hands on cruelty than lady Macbeth , and sakshi has motherly instinct and nature unlike lady macbeth.
I need to start watching more American television lol I have very little knowledge about them

Oh, god! It's Scottish throne story!
Sakshi is not as like lady Macbeth, it's different! Sakshi is anything do to protect her son shaurya because she fear her son would be sent to imposioner...sakshi doesnt want see to him be hang because she loves him so much...that's why she killed some mitras family and bagchi family!
When sakshi came know her son raped Payal...sakshi blamed shaurya what he did! Sakshi afraid, she can't lose her son...

Not exactly. Sakshi is more power hungry than Lady Macbeth who had actually just instigated her husband to murder Duncan.
I hope she ends up in the same institution as Payal...that would be a fitting end

Alright guys I do understand that the stories and the characters are quite different but I just made an observation by looking at both personalities of the women which I believe are indeed quite similiar.
  • Both women are power hungry and more ruthlessly involved in crimes than their husbands.
  • You can say that Lady Macbeth just instigated her husband, but the scenes where she manipulated him to kill the king and where she took the dagger out of her husbands hand after he did and ordered him to go wash the blood, etc. make her seem so power hungry that she would have committed the murder herself if she was a man. The general idea of women were limited to caretakers and soft creatures in the 1600s. Men represented power and cruelty at that time.
  • Just like her, Sakshi learnt to kill and fight for power (the bread and dog scene shows that )
  • Finally, remember the death of Arnab Goenka is not fully explained yet, so it is possible Sakshi could have been behind it so she and her hubby would have all the wealth /control.
The only difference I see btwn them is their weaknesses. One's is her love for her son while for another its her excessive greed. Still, you can also see greed in Sakshi and Lady Macbeth never had a son so we wouldnt know if that would have turned into her weakness or not.

Im not forcing anyone to agree with me, I knew the stories of the characters before I made this post. I only found their personalities quite similiar and do recognize the differences you all have mentioned.
