Dev...the actor is - Page 2

i actually like this guy...although i do agree the background of the character wasnt established very well..i'm actually quite surprised people are hating on him for looks and acting. sure eye candy is nice to have, but to hate on a new character just because he doesnt match up to your expectations of 'hot' and 'handsome' doesn't seem very fair. and as far as his acting is concerned, let's be honest, we havent really seen much to judge like that. it's not like vatsal or sanjeeda were oscar winning actors in the beginning either. give the guy a break, let him grow into his character before you chide him for his acting ability.

Actually, the character of Dev seems to be forced. No offence people!! but the whole Nitya - Dev story is just not working. Now-a -days, foreign travel is not a big deal and keeping contacts with your dear ones while away isn't that expensive anymore. I mean there are internet cafes everywhere in Kolkata and we are talking two years back not twenty years back.So much happened in his absence and Nitya never seem to have informed him a single thing. Practically speaking, it was so unconvincing.

I think the makers had no such plan to introduce a 'good goenka' in the story but as people had started asking for some spicy romance, they got in a new face. Unlike other characters, his character has not been specified and seems to out of blue moon. I think little more clarity was required. Nitya seems to have a nice relation with him but now as Durga she didn't even remember him for once especially when Dayal was talking about her marriage plans.

Let's see I hope the makers have some good explanation to the whole story.

Please note :I am not bashing the actors or the makers but making my point. If it hurts the sentiments of any person, actor or any member here, my heart felt apologies.

I gotta disagree. They had plans about a positive Goenka all along. Even in one initial episode, I don't remember which one, he was mentioned.
Why would Nitya like to keep in touch with a friend or a mere crush when her life turned upside down! She changed herself... abandoned her identity. Then why would she keep updated a Goenka?

Emily never bothered about Jack too since she didn't want any outsider to get involved in her plan.

i think the character needs tume to open up...but i like the guy...seemed nice enough to me and i think the jodi would look good too! just my thoughts

I'm ok with the actor. Not expecting anyone 'hot' since this isn't particularly a hot chemistry-based love story. I just hope the makers have a proper reason behind why Dev did not stay in touch with Nitya during the incident/court case, etc and why did he come all of a sudden after 2 years...

He looks OK but that hopefully that won't matter as long as he acts well and looks good with Sanjeeda. Vatsal gives me creeps when he plays Shaurya! This new dude didn't have any impact on myself.
He does not even have proper screen presence! Powerful actors like Simone or Ayub Khan are gonna eat him alive when they have a scene together.

Mere crush ? really ? she was shown exchanging a pendant that had her photo. The man with mere crush is also shown revenging upon everyone who badmouth about the Mitra family. My question: where was he all this time ?

Yes, his acting skills are important but his physique and his having six pack Abs is not really a requirement to the story line.

This show is driven by the agility of the cast to have smarts and the cunning to outfox the Evil Doers.

But we all watch shows for different reasons.

I know this story is not about good looks! But when you choose actors like Simone, Ayub, Saneeda and Vatsal, who have tremendous screen presence, then suddenly this dude does not really match the quality. He had a a scene of almost 5 minutes...but all his expressions are so blah... I am very disappointed. Even the hiacker had more screen presence in that particular sequence! 😆
Good actors along with good script make good shows.

I didn't think the CVs would go for a newcomer or someone as bland as him for such a important role.
Mind you I am not at all rooting for a romantic or hot couple. The character of Dev is very important, if it's anything like Aiden or Jack. He will probably be turning around a lot of things!

I still stand by my opinion that a good actor should have been chosen to play Dev Goenka.

Exchanging a pendant means nothing really. When your own family is ruined and your life is threatened, why would you remember your crush who's left the country! Don't forget he's a Goenka too. Probably Nitya couldn't trust him enough.

I can understand why Nitya never bothered about him in these 2 yrs. Why he didn't? That's a thought provoking question? But his entry has not been decided abruptly.

The PH should have taken someone like Abhinav Shukla, he and Sanjeeda had awesome chemistry in her last serial, Badalte Rishton Ke Dastaan.

Who is hating on him? I just said what I felt duh!

Have you really watched the initial episodes. The Goenka clan along with Sanjedaa was way better than this Dev guy. Except Mr. Thakur though! He was robotic and still is. 😆
