Part 6 - Last Part
The day of the wedding finally arrives. Shravan looks handsome in a black and gold sherwani. He keeps looking at the watch and is impatient to go. Pushkar takes a dig at him.
Pu: Someone is very impatient to bring his wife home. Kya bhaiya bus kuch ganto ki bath hai. then Sumo will be with you.. have a little bit of patience.
Sh: Chote do I have to remind you how you were on your wedding day. Even now every 10 minutes you keep talking to Preeti on the phone. And you are telling me to be patient?
Ramnath: If both brothers have done with your bickering can the baaraat leave?
Lalaji: Yes bhaisaab let's leave.
The baaraat leaves from Malhotra Mansion. Pushkar calls and tells Preeti that they have left. Preeti starts teasing Sumo.
Preeti: Di your groom has left. He is on his way. Oh oh someone is blushing...She smiles and makes fun of Sumo.
The baaraat is welcomed inside tiwari killa. Shravan takes the blessings of all the elders. Sumo is brought to the mandap by Preeti. She looks stunning in the gold and orange lehenga chosen by Shravan. She was wearing her mother's jewels and looked nothing less then a goddess. Shravan is thunderstruck. He had dreamed of this day since the last 11 years, 11 months and 7 days. Sumo is also in the same situation. She is in tears because she had been on the verge of losing him a few months back and is thankful to God for having got him for herself.
The entire family is near the mandap. Nirmala is also there but a little away from the mandap. Shravan sees her but ignores her. He does not want anything to spoil his day today.
The bride and the groom take the seven pheras around the holy fire. Shravan then ties the mangalsutra and fills her forehead with vermillion. Both of them have tears in their eyes. They come to take the blessings of the elders. Nanaji, Mamaji, Mamiji, Ramnath, Lalaji and Kamini. Sumo holds Shravan's hand and takes him towards Nirmala. Although she is scared, she wants a mother's blessings also on this auspicious occasion. So she takes him near Nirmala. Everybody is tensed.
She pulls him and both of them bend down to take Nirmala's blessings.
Suddenly Shravan says: Maa, mujhe maaf kar do.
Everybody is shocked including Sumo. Shravan continues: Maa, I know I have wronged you. I have hurt you so much. I don't know how to ask for your forgiveness.
Nirmala is in tears. She hugs Shravan and says: Bas chup kar. No need to ask for forgiveness. I have got my son back and that is more than enough for me.
Su: Shravan...
Sh: Okay everybody... I have got my memory back. I remember whatever has happened in my life...
Su: Shravan you could have told me na? Why did you not tell me?
Sh: Sumo I wanted to give everybody a surprise so I did not reveal. I had deprived you of your wedding dream and I wanted to fulfill that. So I kept quiet.
Su: But when did you get back your memory?
Sh: When I came to Tiwari killa on mehndi day. On seeing your hands with mehndi I was reminded of the day when Aditya wrote his name on your hand. I went home and made a mess of my room in anger remembering how cheap I had behaved, how low I had gone. I remembered everything - how much I hurt you with my words and actions. I then decided that I will give you the wedding you wanted.
Pushkar runs and hugs Shravan. Ramnath hugs him also. Lalaji pats him on his back.
Sumo's happiness is beyond words. She thanks God for giving her Shravan back.
Soon the bidaai happens and the Malhotras leave for their home. After completing all rituals Shravan and Sumo are left alone in their room. The room is tastefully decorated with flowers. Both of them change into their night clothes.
Su: Shravan I have a gift for you.
Sh: Sumo you are my gift, I don't want anything else.
Su: But I have something for you. Now sit on this bed and close your eyes. You are not to open unless I tell you to.
Sh: But Sumo...
Su: Chup...
She goes to the cupboard and pulls out something and comes and keeps it on the bed and tells Shravan to open his eyes.
Su: Ab gift kholo...
Shravan opens it and is amazed...
It is a plaque with the following engraved on it...
"Thank you Shravan for coming into my life and making my life worth living.
I promise to love you for the rest of my life
I promise to communicate
I promise not to be jealous or controlling
I promise to stick by you through tough times
I promise to always make us a priority
I promise I will do my best for our children
I promise I will always, always help you live your dreams.
I may sometimes get angry and say things that I don't really mean, but I promise I will never give up on us.
I promise I am in this until the end
I promise to show you every single day that you always were and always will be the best part of my existence.
AtAt the end of each promise she had printed and fixed a photo - childhood photos like ferris wheel, ice gola eating, grown up photos like those from her parents' house, or on the way to the Shastri clinic etc.
SShravan is stunned and is a loss for words. He picks her up in a hug such that her legs are dangling and she is on eye level with him. She also hugs him around his neck and runs her fingers through his hair.
Sh: Do you love me so much Sumo?
Su: Beyond words can describe...
He carries her bridal style and puts her on the bed. He joins her and keeps looking at her.
Sh: I am fortunate to have you as my best friend, my lover and my wife.
Su: Both of us are fortunate to have found each other Shravan. We complete each other.
Both of them were eager to start the journey of exploring the physical side of their relationship. Shravan takes the lead and starts kissing her from head and moves down her body. He places little kisses all over her face and moves down her neck. When he moves still further he looks at her for permission. Sumo has closed her eyes and is enjoying Shravan's ministrations. Feeling the loss of warmth she opens her eyes and finds Shravan looking at her asking permission. She nods. He moves further down. He bunches up her kurti and starts exploring her body. He places a deep kiss on her belly button and Sumo moans. This arouses Shravan further. Sumo now pushes him down and she starts her journey of exploring him and raining kisses. Soon the room is filled with moans and grunts of ecstasy and they travel into their own land.
