In middle of the bed slept the blessed couple, much contrary to the prior sleeping arrangement, today they shared the same blanket. She had pulled him by his collars and slyly whispered, "I'll show you" in her silkiest voice to which Shravan could only utter, "shit! Sumo how do you kn..." before Sumo disbalanced herself and fell on the bed with him. Shravan who swayed his head saying "Sumo!" in faked disappointment was taken up with surprise when all of a sudden Sumo's lips covered his mouth. Sumo poured her ten years of love in that kiss whereas it took him some time to believe it was actually happening. After an eternity he broke the kiss and rested his head on her forehead while looking into each other's eyes they smiled their happiest smiles.
"Shravan".
" Hmm..".
" I love you too".
"Well I guess you've already told that", he grinned.
"So since that's established, there's one more thing I want you to know."
"And that is?", confused seeing the emerging pain in her previously content eyes. He shifted sideways allowing her to be more comfortable in his arms.
"I'm sorry, Shravan", she with brimming eyes.
"Sumo let's not..".
She stops him placing a finger on his lips, "please, let me complete".
"Shravan I'm so sorry for everything. I'm sorry for letting it look like it whatever happened between us was all your fault. I'm sorry for not being there for you like the last time when you needed your best friend the most. I knew you were hurting but still I didn't do I thing about it, never told that I loved you too, chosed my family before you. I'm sorry..", she sobbed.
He held her face in his palm, that was resting her back, and wiped her tear with his thumb.
"Do you know Sumo what your tears do to me?"
She looked at him blankly.
"You remember during our childhood days you had once hurt yourself falling from your cycle? You were crying in pain and I tried all I could to lessen it. That's exactly when I realized it was love for me! And again when you fell while you were running around, the time you came here to gift that book? Every single cry pierced my heart, and that's when I realized that the love I had assumed had faded by time and fate had surfaced itself one more time. Imagine the pain I went through when had met with that accident. I died a million deaths!." She went quiet, sobbing stopped and her eyes gauged the fathomless love with which his eyes sparkled. She wondered if she could ever love him the way he did!
"My God Sumo, you're such an accident prone!", he added to lighten up the atmosphere.
She blushed and giggled at the same time and hid her face in his chest.
"Sumo?", he said tightening the hug.
" Hmmm", she hmmmed into his neck, inhaling the most pleasant aroma of belongingness.
"Now that I've learnt, won't u let me practice?"
