The Trip - Part 4
Next day they go to London where they have a private accommodation owned by Shravan's firm. They are watching a movie together sharing a big bowl of popcorn when Shravan receives a call. It is Nirmala and she informs them that Shiv is not well and has high fever. Sumo immediately wants to see him so they FaceTime. She is very worried so they decide to go back. However they only get one flight ticket for the day after so Sumo decides to go first and Shravan says he will follow her one day later.
Sumo goes upstairs to pack her stuff, Suddenly she remembers that Shiv had asked her to bring all colors and flavors of m&m's. So she decides to go to the m&m world. Shravan offers to go with her but she says it would be nice if he could get her clothes from the laundry and meanwhile she would buy the chocolates and come back soon. Both of them leave the house.
A black sedan is parked near their house and Trisha is watching them go. Once they are gone she goes to the backyard of the house and waits there.
Shravan comes back first and goes in the bedroom to take a nap.
Sumo arrives, trisha sees her entering the compound. She comes out from the back adjusting her clothing, walking towards her car as if she has not noticed Sumo.
Sumo is already very tensed and assumes the worst.
Her temper rises when she enters the bedroom and finds Shravan sleeping.
Sumo - mujhe dekh kar sone ka natak mat karo, main thodi der ke liye bahar kya gayi tumne usko bula liya.
Shravan - still sleepy and confused - kya hua Sumo, kisko bula liya, yahaan koi bhi nahi aaya.
Sumo - mujhe pata tha, tum mujhse jhoot bol rahe the, tumne hi usko humari trip pe bulaya. You also lied to me when you said I was the only woman in your life, that you only loved me all those years. I now know that after nanu, I have nobody except my baby in this world.
She is very upset and stays in the bedroom all by herself till it is time for her to leave. She does not speak to Shravan despite his several efforts.
She leaves for the airport without meeting or saying bye to Shravan.
Shravan is devastated and is unable to figure out as to how he will win her trust again. She is equally sad and has not had a moment of peace, she cries throughout her flight. Her flight reaches Mumbai. She goes to Nirmala's house and pretends to have had a very good time on the trip. Since Shiv is a little better, she decides to go back to Delhi by the next flight. She reaches malhotra house, packs shiv's and her stuff, unnoticed by anyone she picks up her car and moves to her parent's house which she had bought two years ago.
Shravan reaches home and is shocked to see his room devoid of all of Sumo's stuff, Shiv's room is also empty.. Pushkar comes to his room to welcome the trio back, he gets very worried when he finds Shravan alone in the room, staring at the empty shelf in the closet. Suddenly he collapses and falls on the floor. Pushkar immediately calls the ambulance and takes him to the hospital..
Sad no, and thoda melodramatic.. but had to take the story forward.. Don't worry, it gets cuter and bittersweet henceforth and I hope you will enjoy the upcoming track.
