We're same in not understanding the concept of feminism and believing in equality, humanity. Feminism concept is so hyped that I find it scary. I too fight for the rights but as a human and not as a girl. I believe in equal rights for each individual be it man or woman.
I know right! It's getting so rigid and petrifying these days!
We share another common thing, I too don't believe in fairy-tales (I haven't actually read/watched any except Snow White, its for the 7 dwarfs), there're no prince charmings in reality, there're only normal men who might be flawed in several ways just as we girls are, real life romances aren't romantic in a lovey-dovey sense, we rather have someone who would be with us till the end of the road.

I love fairy tales😆 I'm a Disney buff! I've danced and wept at a Disney parade not too long ago😉 But that doesn't mean I believe in fairy tales... Much like you, I'd rather find someone that would stand by my side😛

Shayri was beautiful & meaningful. I understood most of the Urdu words, some which couldn't understand I understood after reading in English.

Shravan's unsaid words for Sumo, always comes for her as saviour, if she is standing under sun for ration, while climbing down stairs or when her jaan give her problem, when his car met with an accident he made sure she wouldn't get hurt by keeping hand on her torso, so that she won't hurt herself even though she wore seatbelt, he was always there for her. He is such darling husband every girl would ask for.

The Shravan of our collective imaginations is what I like to call this character as he absolutely cannot be real. 😊

No doubt Suman is so overwhelmed by the intensity of this love that she is speechless while trying to acknowledge it.

All that comes to my lips when I raise my hands skywards is a meager Thank You.

For all you do my almighty, I am too small to acknowledge in better words.

I love and agree with this perspective you put forth letting your spouse do something nice for you isn't against feminism (which itself is a confusing topic for me still). What words cannot convey in years, a simple action does in a matter of minutes.

But everyone should keep their mind and heart open to observe these traits, these little things in the other person. that is when silence becomes comfortable.

Your couplets are fabulous.👏

The scenes were artistically laid out, romanticized no doubt, but stuck to reality strongly.

Can you hear a sigh for the beauty of this one. 😊

You won't even let me crib about the day being boring is it😛

Where does one begin to talk about a piece she read and applauded very much😛

I begin with the premise. Of him being with her, around her.

She grew up around people, for whom she was a debt personified.

He gave her the care she craved, the succour she never learnt to receive , the concern she might have searched for in those faces, the love she might have desired so badly.

He kept her secure , enveloping her into this safe cocoon, for his peace. He was her sky, he helped her fly.

He never desired her applause, he did it because he never learnt to do anything else. His mind was programmed to be there for her, even before she realised that she needed him.

This reminds me of these lines from Kazekirion:

"You were the moon all this time,

And he was there for you to make you shine."

"Was he the sun?"

"No honey, he was the darkness."

Loved all your couplets, but my favourite was "Hafiz to the hi mere tum" one. God Zoya, you made this Shravan, what dreams are made of. Is it that heart of gold and the stardust soul that makes him this beautiful?😃

What are you made of really? A thesaurus ticking away up there giving company to your brain is it?😆 ..Whatever it is, we get to enjoy the awesomeness you keep bringing, so who's even digging up that bone?😳
