you might disagree with me - but if I am in trauma - I will not care who introspected about me in one dark corner of their house for me - what would be more effective for me would be if someone came to me and only asked if I am alright and gives me the reassurance that all is not lost, that everything is alright! -

I agree with you hundred percent...And apart from a small word.. please take care of yourself...we did not see Shravan as being her friend (forget lover)...in terms of saying few words of solace...like he did..when she posed the question...I will be alone after Nanu (phone convo)..he said no, I shall be there for you...But, if the cvs have yet not shown this or even Shravan not even once coming close to telling her...I am there for you...the reason is as I said, they want the misunderstandings to continue for few more weeks..and to keep open the gates for Nimmo's son to enter and say sorry...If Shravan behaves as the good friend he once was...rest assured that the story will come to an end in two days flat...
So, the lack of empathy for Shravan's person which we rightly feel as of now shall be countered by the logic which we will see emanate from Sumo and Tiwaris after Chomu's re-entry...
The cvs cannot balance our love and affection for both the leads at the same time...😆

that is my only gripe against shravan. i do understand what all is stopping him and hence I feel heart broken because the smoke screen on his eyes is getting thicker by the day.

the rest of the people around sumo are ridiculous - nanaji in particular - gone is the wise man and what we see now is a petty human who surprisingly thinks that getting her married is the only solution available - not a word of solace - not a word of assurance. had his character been kept intact (by the CVs) he would have been the one telling her to stand up and get going with her life and not to depend on anyone for her happiness. but alas!

your question: what if suman had never read shravan's letter - that's a very interesting question indeed. But we did see how reading that letter made her more resolute about him and cleared out a chunk the fog by itself. Its the same craving this time around too. Just imagine what all shravan reading suman's letter can do to "them"!

@rekha - its such a pleasure to read your thoughts ! ❤️
Yes - you are right - sumo draws some sort of unwavering positive energy from a belief that despite every bitterness and apparent hatred - shravan will never fail her - as a friend.

It is this belief that will be broken completely when the shravan-adi conversation is unearthed.

and the rest is what you penned down so beautifully. that heartbreak will be painful to watch - because it will not only a final breakdown of sumo's entire belief system around shravan but also because shravan will realize the enormity of what he has actually done and he will have a hard tme facing himself.

@indrani - you are right. its important from the story's POV to stretch the misunderstandings a little more. more its just sad to watch.
also, as you had mentioned in another thread - I too am not sure if the CVs actually know what all they are dealing with and whether they have the ability to actually deal with these "ideas". Hope they do not trivialize anything in the process.

and no - the way the two lead characters are sketched, it is difficult to keep both camps happy at the same time, particularly within the scheme of the current track. 😆

Thank u...

I want to also post a contrarian thot to how we see the narrative unfolding from this point. I may be completely wrong about this but I feel it in my bones...that even if the belief system that u mention breaks...it is actually a leading light for Sumo to gain understanding about this man too..For me the narrative works immensely if this is presented as an opportunity for Sumo as well to know what has scarred Shravan..she knows his issues but never has seen the issues as linked to her.
.of what Nirmala absence and Ram's influence has done to this guy..how his devotion to her has changed and yet remained the same over the years. Its depth and despair!!
of his love for her has been a beacon that has kept him sane and alive for the large of the time he felt unwanted and unappreciated.
I don't know if the writers think that...but the reason I see this becos there will be no reason for her to believe in him otherwise. why does she believe the love of this man who despite all the love in his heart has never loved her with respect...Again i am opening a pandora's box with this LOL

"She had blue skin,
And so did he.
He kept it hid
And so did she.
They searched for blue
Their whole life through,
Then passed right by-
And never knew"

what an apt quote for the two...from the "The Mask".

Yes isn't that what these two have been doing to each other...all the words of analysis can be summed up in this quote...

acceptance of self and of others...is an important milestone in a journey of life. I had once read an article that referred to this poem...it was a beautiful article...trying to remember the article..thank u for that memory..It was such a beautiful piece...that its context remained etched in my memory...

About human frailties...of our vulnerabilities and why owning upto our weaknesses should never be looked down upon...its not necessary for the mask to remain if we find courage to speak what is in our mind and the world lets us to...

This poem indeed sums up ShraMan - the two wandering souls - who are yet to realize the importance of expression. How can ShraMan find (or expect to find) "'love" when they are the one hiding it themselves? Shel Silverstein is my all time fav <3

So two things...

Knowledge needs to be acquired...knowledge does not go knock on people's doors...begging for acceptance...and even if maybe sometimes it does knock...dense and thick doors like Shravan's brain...hardly ever hear the knocks!

Number two...at this point Shravan's teenage feelings hardly have any meaning...because Sumo cannot comprehend grown up Shravan's feelings and emotions...this was clear from her monologue the other day. In fact, sometimes having too much knowledge clouds your clarity of thinking.

Okay...the last point...mistakenly romantic scenes???? Oh how hilarity and horror can be evoked from the same phrase!

We should realize that we have analysed more than the show demands when we have a LU post running well into the next day 😊
I think all along I kept believing that the bond that binds ShraMan is way stronger than the barrier(s) that separate them and somewhere I feel that bond is becoming weaker. I hope I am wrong of course.
