I'm sure Adi had a backdoor made for himself when he created the investor smokescreen... He will worm his way back in...

LOL Anu, I still have hope. Just saw the episode and I am so glad Sumo said what she said 👏
She's like ok, now that you are clear, get this straight, since I don't matter anymore , Naanu is my problem and not yours and I am fully capable of finding a guy for myself, I don't need your help.

Rekha, what is absolutely shameful is the way Shravan has shut the molestation episode out of his memory. His monologue and that brief moment during their conversation at Malhotra House today gave a glimpse of his hurt, and it was evident that he still cannot be unaffected by Sumo.

How then can he not think about the traumatic impact of what Aditya did to her?

He acknowledges that they were friends, that he dreamed of spending his life with her. Forget the present, cannot that Shravan Malhotra pause a minute to consider what Sumo must be going through? That's where he really loses my empathy.

@bold + Zillion

As much as I tend to discount his behaviour, that one thing stands out. How could he not think about her plight ? When Sumo did not understand him, how many posts were there to empathise with him. Most of the fandom openly hated Sumo. How many do we see today ? CVs have failed us miserably in handling the trauma that Sumo is going through. What kind of message is this ? Don't bring the person who molested you to court and please they are all lawyers.

Nith, I have to admit that I hated the way Sumo treated Shravan during the PP wedding circus. Even now, I do not think she had to thrust the knife in and turn it the way she did. There was a much saner, more mature way of handling the predicament. Yes even that would've left Shravan hurt. But it wouldn't have turned him into this bitter, vindictive, hate-spewing machine.
But I can't and won't blame Sumo for Shravan's behavior toward her post the AdiMan wedding fiasco.
I'm shocked that the CVs seem to have handed the burden of recovery to Sumo. You have a few people like Naanu commenting fleetingly on how strong she is, and then you have the great Shravan Malhotra mocking that her Sumo-ness will help her weather every storm. Wish he realized that SUMO IS THE VICTIM HERE. Not Shravan Malhotra.
I hate it that everyone seems to be consciously or subconsciously trying to sweep the episode under the carpet. Sumo is the only one who can't. Because it was her boundary that was violated. She's trying to be strong and brave - but she doesn't have to. It hurts to see that she's trudging down that path alone.
And for this, I hate Shravan Malhotra.

Actually, I agree that Sumo treated him badly and the way she went to him today to clear things up, she should have earlier but I will not blame her solely for what he has become. Because Ramnath has a big role to play in it and so does Nirmala. Both of them(ShraMan) have a lot of introspection and retrospection to do.

The way the family is ignoring Sumo's trauma is not new, it is typical of our society. Things that you don't want to talk about just close your eyes, stop acknowledging that there is an issue, it will disappear. What is the worst that can happen ? She'll deal with it anyway. What is very disappointing is that the CVs had an opportunity to change this, to send a social message but they chose to give more time to the more dramatic fight sequence. TRP's matter.

Wow! What a discussion thread! 👏
My two cents-

On Aditya not being charged with molestation- I am glad Suman has not relived that episode...especially since Nimmo apologised to her...She had begged her not to let this affect her- so that is what she has done. She has given it zero importance.

As for Shravan, he seems to believe he has punished Aditya enough, so that he'd remember his face on his First Night whenever that happens..That is how much faith he has in the legal system, I guess.😆 Point is, everyone feels Aditya got it for what he had done.

Shravan not remembering the molestation, while he paints Suman a gold digger...this is his defense mechanism to blame her for making the wrong choices in life.

'I had been ready to confess to you. You pushed me away and went for Aditya because he proposed first...Had I proposed first, I bet you'd have agreed- but not for love. Your attitude got you here, Ms. Suman Tiwari. My sympathy you have, but not empathy.' 🤔

Hi Chick! I'm kinda little torn over this whole issue... On certain aspects, I root for Sumo while in others, I want to go soothe Shravan's pain.
1) Sumo not letting the Adi episode affect her: She's trying very hard, that's clear. But I fear that it's just a matter of a trigger to set the bell tolling. She must be reliving that incident - in fact once these two get married I wouldn't be surprised if Shravan witnesses her having nightmares. It's a different matter that she has donned her mask and is braving the odds. But that's Sumo, right? Ever since she was a child, she has tried to hide her weaknesses and push her way through. And everyone - including Shravan - has bought that persona. No one, barring Pushkar a few times, has actually bothered to look past the carefully cultivated facade. So I think the trauma is there. We just haven't glimpsed it yet.

2) Shravan not remembering the molestation and painting Suman a gold digger: People much smarter than I ever will be (girls, you know who you are 😆) have patiently explained to me how this is his self-preservation kicking in. I understand. I can see the pain, very obviously in Shravan Malhotra's eyes. That brief moment today when he looked almost beseechingly at Sumo, asking if there was any love between them, only to be heartbroken again was painful to watch. I love this character, but (Namik notwithstanding 😉) it still rankles. I know his aggression is a mask, but it's sad that even at such a moment of crisis, he is able to put his pain over hers. He's so taken with the Sumo image, that he completely disregards Suman. And that worries me, because in the home, that's who she is - Suman. Does Shravan recognize that? I honestly can't wait to find out. Once he understands the Sumo-Suman dichotomy, he will be able to answer a lot of his own questions.
