@puba - you are absolutely right and that is how it should be. But not in the world of Indian daily soaps. However, it is rightly reflective of the larger Indian psyche about women - always pegged to some relation (maa, beti, bahu etc. etc.). our society - at large - is still a long way from identifying women as human beings first, and relations later - sans any man's shadow.

And yes - these are all off topic indeed. no point expecting such strong nuances from a popular daily soap striving to raise its TRPs. 😳

Let's just be happy with pretty faces, a somewhat coherent story line and some good performances.
