If lust is driving Adi's actions, then he could've tried other ways to get to her, like we see in other shows. He doesn't need to secretly pay for a dress and go through the trouble of getting PCT started just for her to notice him. That makes absolutely zero sense! If he wanted to show off, there are other ways of doing it.
If Adi has ulterior motives, then thats that... but so far, his characterization does not prove in any shape or form that he is thinking of her in a bad way. If scanning her body in one scene was lust, then Arnav must've lusted over Khushi atleast twice in every episode. 🤣
Just because you know someone from childhood, doesn't mean they have a right over you. I don't know what this show is trying to prove from that angle because you meet new friends in life, and some are more loyal than others -- regardless of age.
