^ So true, Puba. It's moments like these when I really wonder what love means to Shravan.

It's been always admirable that he's stood by her in times of distress. That he comes to her rescue whenever she needs his help.

But Suman Tiwari is not the teenager Sumo who used Shravan for her own ends. She's grown into an independent woman who can make decisions for herself...it's how she could survive, considering that her bestie was not with her for 10 whole years...and her family never did care for her that way anyway. She has learnt to fend for herself.

I think Shravan is still unable to reconcile the Suman of the past and the future. And he still has major trust issues, especially with regard to his perception of women. He seems to see love as a relationship that fosters dependency and makes you in charge of taking care of the other person, which in turn gives you some sort of power over them. But he's still to learn how a healthy relationship involves give and take and mutual trust and even a bit of space.

It's not a game of one-upmanship...where egos clash and one tries to overpower the other person. But it's something where both of you complement each other...accepting your partner's flaws as well as your own and becoming better people in the process.

And can I just say how irritating the family drama is?

I know that all weddings involve this subtle power plays and conflicts between the two sides...but it's a criminal waste of screen time for some much of the track to be devoted to all this family tashan.

Both the leads hardly get about 5 mins tops in this ruckus.

I could hardly care about why and how PreeKar get married either. Candyfloss and insubstantial romance with no appeal to me whatsoever.

I agree guys and that's why it's losing it Charm and trp falling. All tracks are looking like they don't know what to do after they confess they don't get story moves so they should right something. Since they day I know international viewers doesn't matter for trp I have stopped watching on tv just scroll on Laptop and see Sharman scenes and if I know it will be Sharman epi or more scenes of them then I watch on tv. Hope cvs writers know what they doing.

This!!! You spoke my mind!! He absolutely does not understand that Sumo has evolved over time. He still thinks she is the ever dependent Sumo who would run to him for help. With the various incidences that have played out since his return...my question is why doesn't he understand that she has morphed?? Is he so dumb? Why is he so colored by his dad's abominable ideologies? And for how long is he going to clench on to his dad??

Puba...he becomes happy whenever she leans on him for something...he just loves being her knight in shining armour. I like that he's so attuned to her needs so as to be there for her whenever she requires his help...it's admirable indeed.

But that does not give him some sort of entailment over her...he still needs to figure out how relationships involve reciprocity rather than mere dependency.

Yes...absolutely agree! But I really don't see how the CVs are going to make Shravan realize this important life lesson...especially when the leads hardly even get 5 mins of screen space!

I just hate it when Shravan thinks of Ramnath's words and sees how it pertains to Suman. Which is why during this track...in spite of Sumo's harshness, I'm firmly Team Sumo.

Shravan's love confession must not happen now. It's still too premature. He still needs to understand what a healthy relationship entails and what sort of a woman Suman is before proposing to her. Actually I feel that this time he himself will back off thinking that Suman is not right for him. It'll all make sense to him only after the Ramnath revelation.

Bang-on comments and looking at his behaviour very true.

Shravan has never had a bench-mark for relationships ever. he was always an introvert largely attributable to the fact that he was a nerd he was in school and an introvert. His mother and later Sumo were the only 2 people who were the brightness in his life- it seems that he was closer to his mother than ramnath. After his trust in women was broken as the 2 most important women in his life let him down, when he needed them the most, he became as cynical and bitter as they come. Probably continued to be the loner he was even in London with few friends. The only person who he trusted was Ramanth (the worst possible choice) who actually let him down as well by sending him of to London.

Whatever relationship/friendships he would have nurtured probably were at a superficial level and he never matured emotionally to invest in relationships/friendships completely. As he grew up and transformed from the geek into a handsome successful lawyer, he continued viewing women and their attitude towards him at the same level. Did respect come into it, probably not.

If Suman's and his relationship is to be of equals, he will first have to change his perception of women starting with that he has of his mother. And understand her and treat her as a person with her own mind and views to be respected for what they are..And along with the understanding will come the trust.

She has kept telling him that she will not let him down but i guess he never really listened to her each time she said that to him. So it kind of makes it a superficial love if his yardstick of falling in love again is that she will not leave him and go.

Hopefully in the next week, the CVs do show a progression of his thoughts and understanding as this track progresses else reconciling with this Shravan will be a tad bit difficult.

Too long a post but just had to write it all after i read your views!

Fernweh

What a lovely insight into his character! So well-delineated.

He still needs to attain the requisite emotional stability...which Suman has in spades. For example...even if she's confused about whether he loves her or not...she still vests her trust in him and asserts to Ramnath that he'll come to her one day.

But shravan... in spite of telling Ramnath that he has an inkling of her feelings...dilly dallies as to what sort of person she is and whether she is selfish or not. And whether her innate sense of selfrespect is just ego. Sometimes I feel as if he doesn't get her at all.

Yes maybe...Ramnath's revelation is important. But this shows that Shravan's maturity level is quite low. Only when someone points out his father's fault will he realize Sumo's worth!! As a modern day man...how can he not appreciate Sumo for the person she is?? How can he not question his father's beliefs? All this is a bit depressing when I think about it...not just in the context of this show...but to think that there are people like Shravan who exist in today's times.
