Also about nirmala ,as a woman she did the right thing to leave ...she's did the right thing to herself. But not staying in touch with Sravan is wrong. That cannot be attributed to ramnath

Sravan has a pathetic opinion of nirmala not because ramnath brain washed him...it's also becuase nirmala was never there to justify her stand

I made a post when nirmala entered the show

Thanks for the reply dear. Nirmala failed big time as a parent. What an irony, the good human turned into a bad pqrent while the bad human turned into a good parent!!

I know that in the show, when he will learn of the truth, he will be busy in making amends to his mother and Sumo and start avoiding his father like a plague. But if we think realistically, can a person like Shravan survive this awith such high emotions flowing around?
I wish questions about Nirmala's absence are not buried post the revelation and she be given a clean chit.

Yes. You're correct! Realistically a person wouldn't have been able to handle these emotions. I mean after all it's his father. A father who he is devoted to. So upon hearing the actual truth he will be shattered. And I feel they should keep this aspect in the show too. Like they should show the deep level of scarring in him. And then later he will obviously apologize to sumo and Nirmala. And yes! I want Nirmala's answers. Where was she all these years? Shravan is right! When he needed her the most, she left! If she had really cared about her son, she wouldn't have left him. So Shravan's anger is actually justifiable. And if Nirmala never married ahuja, why write ahuja as her last name? She also has a great number of faults as much as Ramnath. She wasn't a good mother at all. And that's what is irking me now. Like whyyy after 10 years come and ruin your son's life, when you didn't even think about him once before choosing to leave?

Bang on post. I've always felt that the writers wanted the viewers' sympathy to be with Nirmala- but that didn't happen. We will always wonder at why she abandoned her son to his own ends and happily migrated with Ahuja and raised his children, on top of it! She is a bad parent, period!

I am convinced that this leaves the door open for Ram and Nirmala to unite in the future

Nirmala is perhaps more to blame of the two- I've always maintained that she is the bigger failure as a parent among the two. Abandoning your child without an explanation is not done. But I am considering this from Shrav's perspective. To know that your mom had an affair- it must be heart-wrenching. It's one thing for your parent to remarry after getting a divorce, and another for them to have an affair while they were still married. That is a big betrayal!🥱

Sorry to butt into this discussion, but couldn't resist myself.

@Amri: Mom being an adultess, scarred him big time. To him, his mom came out as the worst person on the planet. She rejected him and his father for another man (and as supplied by his father later, is raising the other man's children.) Plus she never tried to contact him, was he a toy, jab man bhar gaya tab chod diya. Must be heartwrenching for him. Wish the CVs had undergone the path , would have made a wonderful arc.

@ttrocks: Nirmala has all the rights to divorce and remarry. And Shravan wont understand this and it will be his problem, not hers. Every word was brilliantly put forth!

I agree with you completely! The writers have not been able to gain sympathy for her because she has also done some odd things that don't really justify her actions as a mother. And this is the reason why I feel sumo is wrong. I mean she tried to do the right thing, but in the end it's really not worth it and not that big of a deal. Sumo is trying to prove to Shravan that Nirmala is a good mother and Ramnath is a bad father because he is the one who abused Nirmala. But that is partly true. Nirmala wasn't a good mother at all. Sumo can't change that fact. Whatever Ramnath did was due to his own insecurities but he never failed Shravan. Also, I didn't understand that why did Nirmala go and cry to her boss about her personal life? I mean she can speak to her own mother and her own family about it and ask for assistance. Why would anyone go to his/her boss if they're not that close? So clearly Ramnath sensed something that was maybe true. There is never smoke without fire! So her closeness with her boss was there, which is why she ended up even raising his children and NOT HER OWN SONNN!!!!!!

Wow, you sutely gave me a new perspective. Until now, he did not have the right to make the choice but now all will be in his hands. He needs to know the truth, be it devastate him to smithers. Let a new Shravan rise from his ashes !

But I wish the blow had been softened. Sumo should not have foisted this meeting. She could have tried to make him familiar to the truth by conversing in a cool and composed manner.

The question would be that... would sh4 wants to live his life unhappy with his biases and prejudices or... go beyond those and let out all the pain that he had been holding on for the past 10 years and gradually realize the man that he really is... instead of living his life under an illusion.

We saw the live he has four his dad ... But we are yet to see how much he loves his mother. As @red would say that mask is yet to come off... it would be grossly wrong to assume that he would feel nothing if a situation similar to the ramnath issue happened to his mom. What I'd he had suppressed those feeling too?

And that is why Shravan should introspect and be aware of the truth.

True that
What would have seemed logical is Sravan lossing faith in the institution of marriage or commitments for that matter
Thats how the story was built up...too scared to believe people ,because one person who believed the most betrayed him

So this cannot be restored by a reasoning of what she did or proving the other prfson he believes the most wrong ,but only through a Equally strong relationship with another person...means it's not whether he wants to get married /committed ,its about whether he wants to get marriied /committed to her

That was the direction initially ,but seems to have changed

Like people with troubled childhood being the best parent on earth ...heart warming to watch
