Was waiting for your breaking news and Story with bated breath...U have written a masterpiece that deserves a new space...standing on its own...👏👏 To flesh out the meanings, hidden and apparent...is a true art...

Thank you Rekha... you know it means a lot😳

Indrani...what a beautiful concoction of thoughts..., that restaurant setting was so perfect for this scene and your lovely explanation above tells us why. I have noticed that the writers of this serial always make even a mundane scene pregnant with possibilities. It is not relevant what was intended by the writers...it is what the written word (in this case...the screenplay) can communicate that matters...A promo on Daal and kadwi yaad...how fantastic was that...The power of storytelling lies in its ability to inspire the reader/viewer. While a story is intended by the writer to have a direction or a message, it can be interpreted in many different ways..Remember our discussion on diversity in views..Stories are meant to spark emotions, prod thoughts. That is why it is no wonder literature and poems written years ago are still analysed for their content. To be able to see that possibility in a TV serial which usually serves up bland fare is so encouraging.. I hope there is a way the appreciation for the writers of EDKV reaches them and they feel encouraged that there are viewers who appreciate their efforts to bring engaging content in this much maligned (deservedly too) medium.

I do hope they continue to dish out such mouthwatering story...😆. You are so right about stories as leading to a spark of emotions or thoughts... and that is where we readers can make the text come alive not only for today but for times to come

Indeed, Indrani...the transition from the imagined to the actual...how will Shravan make/take it?

He has often failed and yet he has often surprised us... lets see what the writers dish out for us

Thank you Indrani for this brilliant insight.. I doubt anyone other than a person consumed with the vision of possibilities and pluralities can think like that...I love every tangent in this discussion...the trajectory of this story inspires me...as does your superlative writing👏👏

Thank you😳

Simply no more words to describe what you have written above...Moved by this piece..It is as much a tribute to u as it to the writers who conjure up possibilities that make us think. I will now quote from one of my favourite movies..."Saving Mr Banks" Walt Disney says "That's what STORYTELLERS DO. We restore order with IMAGINATION. We instill HOPE again and again"

hats off Indrani...u have left me in thrall!! 😊😊 thank u!!
Rekha.. I love these lines.. thank you for this reminder.🤗
And yes, the power of stories... one of my fav illustration of the power of storytlling is Coleridge's Ancient Mariner. Have read it several times and yet it the power to sway emotions, feelings and sensibilites still continues ...
There is more to say on yesterday's episode... it was a super episode
Am so happy that you liked it...
Love🤗

San, love hurts. I am tempted to sing DCH song. Jaane Kyon ?
Red, yes I agree about running saga. I remember that was the first post I made in this forum.
Indrani, ab itne stories, tales, truths and lies inside our EDKV ? Kis pe Dhyan Doon ?

My situation is like what somebody else mentioned a few days back. Even though I read the three-phase posts (Red,Sanfan and Indrani) multiple times I am unable to get the gist fully. Maybe someday in future I will be able to. But till then this is what my take is from the episode.

Though Shravan got angry and shouted "Reasoning my foot" over the phone he had calmed down by the time Sumo reached there. He gave her a chance to explain. He understood where she came from. He was no longer angry with her. He was more concerned about his short temper and her response to it in the future. And asked her all the right questions. And she answered them correctly. He beamed in the new found knowledge that he can depend on her for the the shade she can offer him in the blazing hot life. He flirted with her, asked her to make him his own. And she smiled. That added to his confidence in her.

Next day she wanted a dinner and in spite of his schedule he agreed. He thanked his stars for making them meet in the restaurant (after the minor hiccups). He appreciated her taking the "bhabhi" comment in her stride. He was in awe of her support of the girl and the parents. All is well in his little heaven. He is after all sitting under his own tree.

And then Jairaj happened. He found himself in a desert before he could take the next breath. Worst place to be in. His transitions were too fast.

He went from
the heat of sun in a hot place (unbearable but still he had gotten used to it) -
to under a tree (so lovely and cool and romantic) -
only to be left alone in the desert.

No wonder he asked her to have her dessert in the desert.
No wonder he found the water jug empty.
No wonder he lost his bearings.

PS: Transition from luxury to basics is way more difficult than continuing in basics. (Refer to the book about Hector's search for happiness)😆

DCH seems to be quite the film to depict the saga of these two characters

He asked all the right questions, considering he is a lawyer thats the least he can do 😉

Of all the things you find your meaning in Hector's Book of Happiness. 😆🤣
Thats why I like you
You are special, J🤗
And the best part of your posts is the clarity👏
"Please" do posts your own thread more often
Otherwise, you might be bombarded with irritating "News" 24/7😉

J, You have got the gist better than all of us...😉
Simply put..."Seedhi baat no bakwas" as the mountain dew ad used to say 😆😆

Philosopher J...U r the precis maker for our long passages...
One item of the list of Hector's compilation is "Happiness sometimes is not knowing the whole story"...As true as it is of life...it is true of the story itself. So u have pointed that out in a very beautiful manner...Lovely!! Indrani, again a plurality to consider...

If the writer ever read us...what would he say about us all in this forum? 😆😆
