U r right. She is materialistic and I guess her character is supposed to be like that but she is totally unsuitable for Pushkar. He deserves someone better.
Right now she is in a face of life where she is just enjoying everything ..she doesn't really have experience about how the world functions which is not necessarily a bad thing but I guess bcos of the actress playing the role it comes out as forced..

Honestly I don't like her. & with Pushkar...not at all!!
Pushkar should be paired up with a girl who's innocent, shy & good in nature.

LOL, NO. I am okay with Preeti for Pushkar as long as the actress improves, but I don't want any parallel lead cutting into the screen space or the charm of ShraMan.
Also, yeah, who takes selfies while cleaning tho 😆

I wouldn't have minded Preeti-Pushkar track... but the way this track came all of a sudden has taken away the charm this track could have had. And yeah, the actress playing the character isn't able to get it right. Plus, some of the bubbly dialogues she says to Pushkar in these pastry-dates just come off as OTT. As to her reaction to Suman when they miss the flight, I will let it pass considering that she seems quite ok and loving otherwise.

Alright the CVs didn't do that. The next they could have done was to take Pushkar/Preeti's interactions slowly. I love the small scene they had during holi. There was an interaction, but there wasn't too much to read into it. But ever since the episode when the dinner happened, its like there is a clear romantic angle they have forced in, without even setting up Preeti as a character & Pushkar/Preeti as friends. Its too rushed.

I do feel that every scene after the dinner episode is kind of rushed, even ShraMan's relationship.

On to why I am not able to warm up to Preeti

1. The actress is OTT. Vandy isn't a great actress, but we've all warmed up to her & acting because she has a certain charm about her. Preeti at the moment lacks the acting chops & that charm.

2. Preeti as a character has no shades. She is pretty one dimensional. Quite a bimbo - someone without any ambitions, someone who doesn't work hard, & someone whose just engrossed in herself. It isn't just about her watching dramas, or doing nail art. She lacks a voice (which has suddenly appeared after meeting Pushkar..woh bhi talkative Preeti all of a sudden😆)
The fault is of the CV's here. They have not developed her charecter properly. She has no backstory and we are unable to relate because we dont know what drives her. Again, I feel it is rushed and feel that the CV's are building upto something. Because I think it is impossible to live so long and lack any ambitions..She certainly is lazy though.

3. Pushkar deserves someone so much better. He's so sorted, so understanding, so warm, but at the same time smart & practical. If you look at him as a character, he's quite an ideal guy. He deserves someone who at least if not as smart or charming, is someone who can walk with him side by side & understand him. Preeti seems quite dense at the moment to be capable of truly supporting Pushkar & filling that void in his life.

To be fair, the only thing that works in favour is that Preeti is cute & together they would look nice in a picture. I know that she's been sweet & supportive to Suman, but I feel that she's the kind who will change sides if it is not beneficial to her. Her character is realistic, & I don't say that she doesn't deserve any guy. She does. But not someone like Pushkar at least.

@underlined- I disagree here. I feel she will support whatever she believes in,even though if it takes some preaching to make her understand.

The character as written by the cv's is okay but the actress does need to improve.
I dont think that they had any interactions in the past, because all Pushkar seems to be quite close with only Suman in the Tiwari family..

Preeti- I like the way she's written, not the way she's performed.

Preeti's one of those characters I really, really disliked up until the episode where she & Suman have that first conversation by the window. After that I started seeming some redeeming qualities to her. And after the scene (two days ago I think?) with Pushkar about the Rickshaw/Mere Paise Bachenge thing, I think I gained better understanding of her.

I think the fine line that separates her from Chachi/Mami is that she wears her heart on her sleeve, like jo bhi dil main hain bol deti hai. She can be money-minded, manipulative even (harne waala jeetne waale ko coffee pilayega), but she's very open about all these facets of her. Like "main aisi hi hoon," which I appreciate. She's not like playing her cards with much thought, one of the very few "bindass" in the non-OTT sense characters I've ever seen on TV/Film (writing-wise).

However performance wise, the actress in my opinion is so-so. Like she has great writing to work off of, but the acting turns it into border-line cliche because of the zaroorat se zyada enthusiasm. I believe they call those types EnthuCutlets right? 😆

In short, like I said, I somewhat like Preeti as a character, but the performance can be better.

PreeKar- I like it when it's subtle, and not so much when it's really in your face.

Preeti for Pushkar- I have mixed feelings.

@pink- I dont think she is manipulative per se, because that type of behaviour is what normally goes on about between friends.."If I win this bet, you will have to buy me an ice cream" kind of thing.
Even so, writing wise, I feel the writers should develop her character more, make her more relatable before forcing Preekar.
The actress however, deffo need to improve.

I don't think she's a mean person or even a dumb one per se. I personally don't like her because she is the most underdeveloped character, at least for me, from both the families so far and coz the acting is not upto the mark.

I feel the same too. I want the CV's to stop for a bit and develop her character before making PreeKar happen.
