I think what most people forget is what Suman had to deal with for one day, Shravan had to deal with for his entire life (that is, the entire duration of his friendship with Suman). He was always put back "in his place" as the geek who can't be seen with "the queen bee," denied the right of being a friend when they were in public, quasi-stood up at prom, and some of the bits and pieces of the flashback hint at some sort of past public humiliation for him as well.

Bachpana is not an excuse to make someone feel thathorrible about themself. Unintentional the hurt may be, and even if on the surface young-Shravan acted like he was fine with the way he treated her, I don't think it takes a genius to figure out that treating someone that way probably somewhere does hurt them.

I think saying this because I'm also in 12th grade right now, and maybe that's why I don't really seem to understand/completely see how Suman's behavior in the past is forgivable/can be written off as "bachpana." I think at this age, mujhe sahi/galat ka fark ache se nazar aata hai.

And if after all that Suman did, she was still "completely unaware" about hurting Shravan, then she was consciously being insensitive/choosing to look the other way when it comes to making realization. And that realization was pushed off till it completely got lost in her memory, leading her the past they shared as not a big deal ("itni bhi badi baat nahi thi"). She was fortunate enough to be able to cling onto the happy memories of their friendship, Shravan wasn't.

I don't have any ill feelings for the Suman of today because I absolutely love her, the only thing I just really want her to see is that admist being hurt about the tamaasha at the party, she takes into account how much she hurt Shravan (to the point where it caused such an extreme reaction from him) and reflects on that.

Just my two cents.

kriti dear well said I have nothing to add. You know how much I written about this topic so I have nothing to written new. As I said maybe his way was wrong but not his intention. I think he really want to stand up for himself he couldn't able to do that in 10 years back.

Personally, I don't think he's justified for acting like a 7-year-old by humiliating someone like that in front of so many people - especially her childhood friends. What Sumo did was wrong for sure but you have to realize that she wasn't doing it purposefully. That was her 'bindaas' nature and she was childish back then. It was wrong but her heart was in the right place. Her intentions weren't bad. What Shravan did on the other hand, after 10 years, is simply ridiculous. I don't support it. There were so many ways for him to resolve this matter with her in private. But I get where Shravan is coming from.

sumo have feelings for shravan ..but she never expressed infront of him as of now..so he is thinking she is same not changed st all.. so thats why he is behaving like this... i think shravan's main moto is not insulting sumo..his main moto is to make understand sumo that he valued her so much and their friendship...

Yes exactly! He just wants her to realize and know how he felt all those years because she was acting unaware of it till now at least in front of him. People say it's teenage mistakes but I dont think what Suman did can be passed off as a "teenage mistake", if you hurt someone to that extent, humiliate them to that extent, expect karma to bite you lol. What goes around comes around. She just needs to see how much he valued her and how much she took that for granted, this humiliation may have been hurtful to her but hopefully it will make her see the hurt she gave him all those years too.

That's exactly my point😆 people are misunderstanding his intentions. He had to stand up for himself and I'm glad he did. He didn't do this to hurt her, he did this to show her what she made him feel which I think was really important.

You just said her intentions weren't bad. So weren't Shravan's. He didn't do this to intentionally hurt her either. He simply stood up for his worth finally. He did this to show her exactly how he felt every day all those years, its only a glimpse of it. Her bindaas nature made someone feel SO terrible about themselves just for being who they were, constantly, everyday. You know what type of effect that can have on a person? I know she may not have meant it but it's like being emotionally and psychologically bullied by your own friend for so long. She may have done this in her immaturity but something like this stays with a person. You can't expect Shravan to just forget and forgive so fast, especially when she never even tried to truly makeup for it properly. If her heart was in the right place, she wouldn't be so unaware of her mistakes. She acted like what she did was never a big deal despite knowing how Shravan felt for her and how much he valued her. She never tried contacting him for 10 years, if she was ever sorry she would've. Yes he could've solved this issue in private, that would've been more mature, but I don't blame him for doing this either because he's blinded by 10 years of extreme hurt and anger right now and when people are this hurt/ angry they tend to act irrationally. I'm sure they'll realize and learn of each other's true intentions soon and mend their relationship from there. But I like that she finally has an idea of what she put him through.

But he planned this whole thing out. The dress, bringing Urvashi as his date. In fact, the whole party was held for the sole purpose of getting back at her. There is a big difference between standing up for your worth and humiliating someone. One can be done without having to do the other. I never said I expect Shravan to forgive and forget because none of us know what happened on the day that he left India. I don't blame him for doing what he did. All I said was that I don't support it. I'm allowed to have my own opinion, right? 😆 There is more to their backstory than just Sumo ignoring him in school. Anyways, I still love Shravan as a character. There is so much depth to him. I'm looking forward to seeing where this new track takes us.

If you can call the intention of young Sumo as bullying, you should also accept the fact that mature Shravan's intention was wrong. He purposefully used her, send her medicines and all so that she could simply come to the party. And if he was so upset about the fact that young Sumo didnt acknowledge him publicly in the past, he could have backed off, as you yourself said that they weren't kids, but young adults. Rather than continuing the friendship, he wanted to take it to another level.😲 This only means that young Shravan at that time was okay with this kind of behaviour, it was only I believe, the letter incident which made him re-read those incidents, those times they spent together in a new light.
And if he really wanted Suman to be cognizant of his past hurts he could have taken up this issue particularly, when she had shouted 'bhagoda', they were alone at that time. In trying to do hisaab barabar, he purposely called all her school friends to demean her. Sumo was always open about the fact that they were to be friends on the sly. Why did he accept it? He was an young adult, right? And far aware of his feelings, than Sumo ever was.
He was literally gloating when in the midst of those prying eyes, she was left naked. She was called golddigger, by him, and that cannot be acceptable as a justified action.
He was hurt, accepted but then trying to make the mature Sumo hurt, humiliated as something which happened ten years before is weird, to say the least. He enacted the role of a judge without giving Sumo a fair trial.
I am sorry I beg to disagree with your pov. And I dont hate Shravan.. Love him❤️
Its simply that at this moment, I am all for team Sumo😛

EXACTLY.😃
But Hate is something very oxymoron ...the people can be little mad at shravan..but hate na..

Shravan is too...cute to be hate..and yes i am amazed...that what amount of love...Shravan still feels for.sumo but the thing ..is he cant ...able to display it,,everyone has his or art how to express ...it and Shravan is just following it in keeping btw the i dont care attitude...but naaa shravan is a kindaaa...of character..that if he dislikes anybody then he will whole heartedly do it..until a heart of change there...and if he love some body then he will love whole heartedly...so Shravan is very well justified...but public humiliation was a little extent but then Sumo was needed very much...this type of treatment...

For me both were at fault and and neither sumo can be justified...what she did 10 years back...under the mask of innocence ..nor shravan...who has to used little brain this time

and i am sure apart from thier inner conflict External factor are also there whol equally plays an important role in breaking Shraman freindship 10 years back...i can bet.😲

But i guess that the beauty of relationship...that how 2 individuals comes together by deafeating thier own demons...😊..

Let the story unfolds..there are more to come

and thank u so much for writing this very much needed...My heart bleads for both..

Honestly both does not deserve this pain but i guess this is the crux of the story..😊

Shravan is very passaionate chracter...and its so good to see somebody is there to understand ...the poor soul.

Mera lambu ram...both are pretending to be superman but at heart both are equally lonely...hurt and childish...😭

No ..i don't hate Shravan & his actions r not at all justified... Sorry can't agree on this 😊
Whatever the reason is , the public humiliation is not acceptable for me. He himself made her to take him for granted ...i don't support Young Sumo & now i don't support this Shravan too...
