I don't know why, but for some reason, even now, Shravan's pain is coming across the most notably in these post leap epis so far.
I guess its because he has internalized his pain, and he has kept it hidden deep inside his heart. Sumo’s pain seems more OTT with her being rude and complete change in her personality which leads to a disconnect 🤔
It's ironic...because the writers have checked off all the boxes with Suman by taking away both her parents and possibly her Daddu as well....concertedly showing her as totally isolated, lonely, without even her dear sister Kancha in her life. Yet somehow, watching these things doesn't really evoke the deep sadness that the writers are clearly trying to evoke ....maybe cuz the effort is painfully transparent?😆.....maybe if they had tried to show it in a non-cliched way, it would work better?
I agree Sumos pain feels more surface level as we only know that she said those harsh words to Shravan, so what is she expecting now? As far as cliche goes, post leap seems far off from pre leap vibe of the show. I am so missing that:((
All they've left Suman with is a frankly pretty boring/generic looking kid Veer and an instantly smitten lawyer friend....cliches galore so far.
How old is the lawyer, if the case started 7 years back😆 His scene felt most out of place, felt like watching some other show altogether😆 Sumos aap aap jaap and him being latoo over her was just iver the too. He also looked kind of creepy and obsessive
Conversely, in Shravan's case.....we see more layers to his bitterness today....wherein he seems to mentally keep going back to the line about Suman telling him that her life would have been ruined with him....wherein he confides to Bunty that he did so many bewakoofiyaan in his bachpan....to see a Shravan so utterly disillusioned somehow hits harder. Maybe because his love for Suman was so transparent and earnest....he literally lived for her and she told him that he ruined her life....to me, I can see why a heart as sensitive as Shravan's would feel that hurt very deeply. It just doesn't seem like something that can be dismissed in a "she said it in the heat of the moment and didn't mean it" way. It's worth noting that she said this to him in the aftermath of him trying to be there for her when she had just lost her father....she took away all rights from him and basically told him to get out of her life. That is probably what cuts him so deep....that she took away any right he had to care for her and dismissed his presence in her life.
I liked the song they played when Shravan comes home and all the happy memories he had comes flooding in. The rose plant and the swing brings in Sumos memories.
Highlight of the episode has to be BUNTY- SHRAVAN❤️. Finally felt like watching EKDV 😆
Bunty reminds Shravan he knows him from the time he may not remember himself🤣 Waise no one knows you better then your school friends, you make many friends throughout your life but thats one special bond:)) Bunty miyaan asks for Sumo and looks like Shravan miya can’t even say her name💔 Its she who must not be named right now😆
It really is ironical that Sumo still mentions him as a friend to Veer , still keeps pictures of him but for Shravan its so deep he can’t even seem to say her name or talk about her even with Bunty:(
I so agree with everything you mentioned as to how we see so many layers to Shravans bitterness and the last conversation they had must have literally torn him apart. The earnestness and efforts he put in to get trust and love from Sumo, now seems to him like the biggest bewakoofi of his life:(
Based on Shravan's conversation with Bunty today, it also seems that he never spoke to Suman after that day and the complete communication breakdown has made things worse.....perhaps there were expectations from both sides about who would make an overture first....but neither did...and it only hardened their disillusionment about the breakdown of their relationship.
Shravan not taking an initiative is understandable and Sumo seems like have taken a moral high ground and may have expected Shravan to make an effort like he always does. There is too much confusion right now and also loop holes hope makers succeed in making some sense out of all this😆
I honestly am struggling to see how they will justify this from Suman's POV....yes, she lost her parents....but she herself pushed Shravan away first...so was she still expecting him to forcefully re-enter her life and console her?😕
Me too.. I am still scratching my head😆
It seems she still talked about Shravan to Veer all these years and it doesn't seem like it was in negative terms...she still called him her "friend".....while Shravan for his part doesn't even want to hear or take Suman's name....lol
I'm sensing a lot of presumptions happening on both sides....lol....but fundamentally the issue remains the same....Suman pushed Shravan out of her life so what has she been resenting him for 7 years?
And the same confusing question from yesterday....how does the court case fit into these jumbled emotions between them? Did Suman know he became an Army officer? Does any of that matter anymore?
How do they not know about each other with court case going on ? It seems both must have mostly stayed out of their homes for training and lawyers are handling the case without the need to do court appearances? 🤔 Sumo does not look shocked seeing Shravan in uniform , Shravan looked like he kept reading Sumos tag curious to know more about her😆
The new characters barring Shravan's Army friends are decidedly underwhelming....I vote for more Bunty and by some miracle Kancha coming back in the coming epis otherwise the vibe of the show has taken a bit of a hit.
I vote for Bunty, Kancha, Damru, Jhumri and Shravans friends. Baaki people can make guest appearances 😵
