I think you are conflating two completely seperate issues. Feeling rage over corruption as a GENERAL citizen and getting blinded in rage and grief to the point where you turn on your own loved one - like Sumo did with Shravan.....these are two seperate things.
I think its Devraj who has been blamed in the media for giving quality test approval for the vest. So I am not talking about general corruption here, as according to the news its Devraj who was responsible for the quality and as Sumo said, that to earn some money he compromised with the safety of army men. So that rage tranferred to Shravan.
When did Shravan ask her to trust him? 😕😆....you are really extrapolating the scene. I'm actually very amazed by how much everyone is able to brush aside Shravan in this scene....he didn't ask for ANYTHING from Sumo directly...he was literally babbling....just a stream of consciousness...and people are twisting that into claiming he was being "insensitive" and "demanding" things from Sumo.
Again I felt the worst for Shravan, the boy did not deserve any of the treatment he got🥺 What I meant is Sumo is not in a position to think rationally now and Shravan saying I know my dad he would do no such thing would not make Sumo believe him. Shravan is infact quiet the opposite of being insensitive, he is actually over sensitive to others pain. He is brave too, to literally have the courage to walk in the minefield.
Please point me to the exact point in the scene where Shravan asked that she trust him....he only said that "we both know our fathers na....they could never do something like this"....he never said ki trust me because you love me.
My bad, he did not ask her to trust him with the dad thing. But even the slightest mention of his dad will trigger her.
I will still disagree with the claim that both viewpoints are understandable.....the writers did not do a good job of laying out the basis for Sumo's viewpoint....I don't have any issues with Sumo losing her mind in grief and saying harsh things....provided the execution is convincing....and to me, sadly, the execution was not convincing on Friday....the letter is a VERY flimsy plot device to show Sumo twisting it to the extent of "I should have left you way back"....there is just no justification for it.....I would have believed all this more if they had a scene of Daddu ranting and that triggered Sumo....but no....she went to THIS extent mainly cuz of Vijay's vaguely worded letter?😕😆....ridiculous.
I agree with her saying I should have left you way back was way too harsh and uncalled for. But for now I can give her the benefit of doubt that she said this in the heat of the moment.
If the letter is the ultimate reason for their break up then its really flimsy one. I was really basing my view on the letter being the trigger but they would show what ultimately lead to the final break up.And I don't think anything in this epi indicated Sumo didn't mean what she said....lol so many people are trying to extrapolate so much from her behavior when the actual scene didn't have anything like this.....Sumo's heart has hardened, her mind has shut down....she absolutely believes whatever she is saying right now because she has chosen to shut her mind down.....unless I see any nuance to indicate that she is conflicted internally, I'm not going to make this presumption ki she knows Shravan isn't capable of this...Shravan doesn't deserve this blah blah.
Thats what I am expecting, her having inner conflict and realising it was absolutely wrong to have lashed out on Shravan and for saying those harsh words. Also the fact that Shravan came to give her emotional support despite his own dad was accused of being a deshdrohi. That kind of reflects the selfless kind of love he has for her! But if they take this as the ultimate point of their separation it makes no sense at all.
